Pau Gasol recently admitted that he'd like to see "more action in the paint."
"I'd like to see more action in the paint myself and get better rhythm shots from outside," Gasol said. "But we're all trying to figure things out." Gasol's minutes have been trending down, and he hasn't exceeded 30 minutes since November 7. Over his last three games, the big man is averaging 11.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists on a lousy 34.9 percent from the floor. Nov 30 - 11:01 AM

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Fred Hoiberg wants his team to have better off-ball movement when Pau Gasol has the ball at the elbow.

"The big thing is if you cut and move and screen and do the unselfish things, that stuff takes care of itself," Hoiberg said. "With Pau, you give him the ball at the elbow and he can make plays. He's a very good passer. But we can't stand. That's where we need to get better." After averaging 18.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks on 49.4 percent shooting last season, Gasol is down to 13.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks on 45.5 percent shooting.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol made 2-of-11 from the field and 1-of-3 from the line for five points with 13 rebounds, three assists and one block in 27 minutes against the Pacers on Monday.

It's the second time all season he's been below 20 percent from the field. Gasol has been above 40 percent in every other game, so there's no need to worry here. He's also been at 27 minutes of more in each of his last five, averaging 14.4 points, 11.8 boards, 2.2 assists, 2.2 blocks and 0.6 steals. He's fine.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol is expected to opt out of the final year of his deal this summer, but he doesn't want to talk about it at the moment.

"I don't think about that," Gasol said. "I'll wait to make that decision. All I'm focused on now is trying to play the best I can so that if I do opt out and explore, I have options. If I have the best season possible and work on my body and stay healthy and help this team accomplish its goals, I'll go from there." He is due just $7.77 million for the 2016-17 season, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him opt out due to the rising salary cap.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol did his thing against the Hornets on Friday with 19 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 28 minutes.

Excluding that stinky opener, Gasol has looked great this season. In his last eight, he's averaged 16.0 points, 10.4 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.9 blocks and 0.8 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. That's a shade below last season, but he's certainly worthy of his ADP right now and just needs to stay healthy.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol had 16 points, nine rebounds and six more blocks in Monday's win over the Sixers.

The six blocks tied his season high set in Game 1 of the season and he's averaging 15.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over his last five games. He's set to have a big season, while Joakim Noah still hasn't done much of anything for the Bulls this season.
Nov 9 - 10:09 PM
Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol questioned the Bulls' heart after Saturday's 102-93 loss to the Timberwolves.

"I think it was just a lack of aggressiveness, a lack of maybe desire, intensity," Gasol said. "Do we want to be an up-and-down team and a team that does OK but really doesn't have a chance to win a title? So far, that's what we're showing." Gasol is coming off of two straight double-double's and is averaging 13.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.9 blocks on 46.6 percent shooting. Gasol and the Bulls will look to take out their aggression vs. the Sixers on Monday.
Nov 9 - 9:07 AM
Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol scored 21 points with 14 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in a season-high 40 minutes on Saturday against the Wolves.

He had season highs in points, boards and matched his best in steals. Gasol's minutes were pretty much holding steady at around 30 before tonight and that's where he should be most games. He's still an early-round value guy going forward.
Nov 7 - 10:38 PM
Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol had 13 points, eight boards and three assists in just 23 minutes of Tuesday's blowout loss to the Hornets.

This game was over right after it started as the Hornets opened up a massive 37-20 lead after the first quarter and then won the rest of them in the 130-105 whipping. He raced up 11 blocks in his first four games, but didn't have one tonight for the first time this season. Gasol and Jimmy Butler were the only Bulls' starters in double figures.
Nov 3 - 9:23 PM
Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol said he has a "big" comfort level with teammate Nikola Mirotic.

"He's a player who spreads the floor, knows how to play the game, is a threat from outside," Gasol said. "It allows me to have room to operate from the post and we understand each other well." Gasol and Mirotic often speak Spanish on the floor, and the two-man pairing has worked brilliantly thus far in Fred Hoiberg's debut season.
Nov 2 - 9:54 AM
Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol bounced back on Wednesday with 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and one block in 30 minutes.

He blocked six shots on Tuesday but also went 1-of-7 from the field for two points, with two rebounds, an unusual sight from the double-double machine. Fantasy owners should note that he's now averaging 31.0 minutes in two games under Fred Hoiberg, down from 34.4 per game last season. He remains a steady top-30 value while healthy.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol hit just 1-of-7 shots for two points, two rebounds, a steal and six blocks in 32 minutes of Tuesday's thrilling win over the Cavaliers.

Gasol's final block was an impressive one against LeBron James with just three seconds remaining in the game. The blocks were great, but the rest of his game was rather disastrous. The minutes were there and we expect him to bounce back in the next one.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol (general soreness) will be in the starting lineup on Tuesday vs. the Pacers.

Gasol was held out of Monday's game vs. the Hornets as a precaution, but it's a good sign to see him active in a meaningless exhibition. Gasol will start next to Nikola Mirotic on Tuesday, while Joakim Noah will come off the bench. As much as we like this lineup from a fantasy perspective, head coach Fred Hoiberg still hasn't decided who will start on opening night.

Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol (general soreness) will not play on Monday.

He's fine and it's just preseason. With Gasol out, we should see more of starters Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic along with preseason darling Bobby Portis. Gasol is worth a look at the turn of the second and third rounds.
Oct 19 - 6:37 PM
Pau Gasol - F/C - Bulls

Pau Gasol might be rested in Monday's game vs. the Hornets.

To be clear, Gasol isn't injured so there is nothing to worry about. It still isn't clear what head coach Fred Hoiberg's plans are for the Bulls frontcourt, but Gasol and Nikola Mirotic still seem to be the safest bigs to target in fantasy leagues.
