Joe Johnson was incredible in 35 minutes on Sunday, making 12-of-17 shots to score 28 points with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, five assists and one steal during a series-tying victory vs. the Clippers.
The veteran scored 12 straight points to erase a late deficit and his contributions were the difference in the game, especially with Gordon Hayward ruled out early due to food poisoning. Johnson continues to have an amazing postseason, averaging 19.3 points and 1.5 threes through four games, including his memorable buzzer-beater in Game 1. Johnson's performance tonight was his most impressive yet, and Utah's decision to add him on a two-year, $22 million contract looks better than ever. Apr 24 - 12:20 AM

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson hit a four-foot floater at the buzzer to earn a 97-95 Game 1 win over the Clippers on Saturday, finishing with 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

What a win for the Jazz. Rudy Gobert (knee) went down on the very first play of the game, so Johnson had to defend Blake Griffin throughout this game. Plus, Gobert has been a positive offensive presence with his growth as a roll man, so it was Johnson to the rescue on the offensive side for the team's highest scoring output. This was Johnson's eighth buzzer-beating game-winner in the regular season or playoffs over the last 10 seasons, which is the most in the NBA over that span. The seven-time All-Star is 35 years, but Playoff Joe Johnson knows no age limitation.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson ended up with 19 points, five assists, five rebounds and a steal over 28 minutes in Monday's 105-99 win at Golden State.

Johnson has pieced together a season-high streak of five games with double-digit point totals. He is averaging 14.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in five outings in the month of April. The veteran has had erratic contributions for most of the regular season, but he is proving his worth down the stretch and could be a nice DFS sleeper in the postseason.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson scored 22 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Wolves on Friday.

Playoff Joe Johnson is a good Joe Johnson. The Jazz having another offensive weapon on their bench should go a long way. DFS players are probably going to catch some good Joe games in the postseason.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson racked up 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting with seven rebounds, six assists and two triples in 31 minutes vs. the Pelicans on Monday.

Gordon Hayward (quad) sat this one out, so there's not much to see here. Unless Hayward misses more time, Johnson is just a low-end option in deeper leagues. Joe Ingles, who scored 19 points with five triples, is the better add if Hayward sits on Wednesday.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson scored 14 points with three rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

He was really the only guy to step up on the perimeter for the Jazz. Johnson has been fairly inconsistent lately and this was his first game above 42 percent from the field since Mar. 13. He will likely be coming off the bench against the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson shifted to the bench on Wednesday, where he chipped in 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting with one 3-pointer, four rebounds, two assists and one block.

Derrick Favors (bone bruise) is out indefinitely and the Jazz had been playing well with Johnson in his spot, but they opted to play the matchups with Boris Diaw starting tonight. Johnson logged 23 minutes on Wednesday and should hover in the mid-20s whether he's starting or coming off the bench.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson will come off the bench vs. New York on Wednesday.

Boris Diaw will start and draw the matchup vs. Kristaps Porzingis, but the minute allotment shouldn't change too much here.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson misfired on six of his seven field goal attempts in Monday's 107-100 loss at Indiana, posting just two points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal over 31 minutes.

Johnson missed all four of his 3-pointer attempts and never did seem to get comfortable. The veteran has now missed 28 of his past 41 field goal attempts for a dismal 31.7 percent from the floor over the past four outings. Until he gets on track he isn't helping in any fantasy format.
Mar 20 - 9:43 PM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson scored eight points with six rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

The Jazz have missed Derrick Favors (knee) more than they thought and have lost three of their last five. Johnson has not exactly performed well in those games, averaging 10.2 points, 4.0 boards, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys. He's not really a fantasy option and would also lose value once Rodney Hood (knee) comes back.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson started in place of Derrick Favors (knee) on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block in 29 minutes.

Favors is "out indefinitely" with a bone bruise, and coach Quin Snyder pulled a switcheroo with Johnson starting over Boris Diaw at PF tonight. As long as Favors is out, Snyder said he will deal with the power forward spot depending on matchups. That makes it hard to trust Johnson on a nightly basis, but he's worth a look as a punt play when he's starting.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson will start against the Pistons on Wednesday.

With the Pistons using a hybrid-type forward in Tobias Harris, the Jazz will go smaller and use Gordon Hayward more at the four. Johnson was hit and miss in his two starts in this small-ball lineup with a 16-point game against the Rockets and a five-point effort vs. the Thunder. He has a decent chance for production against the Pistons while Joe Ingles also benefits.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson posted 14 points with three rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes on Monday against the Clippers.

Johnson came off the bench in Monday's win, but he was still very productive from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers. The veteran is averaging 11.7 points with 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists over his past three games. Even though Boris Diaw slid into the starting five with Derrick Favors (knee) sidelined again, Johnson was by far the more productive option.
Mar 14 - 12:31 AM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson will come off the bench against the Clippers on Monday.

Derrick Favors (knee) is out again, but the Jazz are going to move Boris Diaw into the starting lineup to match up with Blake Griffin. Both Diaw and Johnson belong on the wire in standard leagues.
Mar 13 - 8:24 PM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Jazz

Joe Johnson scored five points in 19 minutes with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer against the Thunder on Saturday.

The Joe at the four lineup worked against the Rockets on Wednesday, but it obviously didn't work today. Johnson won't have much value even when he's starting as a small-ball four.
