Joe Johnson sputtered out in 32 minutes vs. OKC, making 2-of-11 shots to finish with five points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal and six turnovers.
Johnson is giving owners enough across-the-board stats to justify owning him in deeper leagues, but his awful shooting is a heavy anchor. He's at 34.6 percent on the season, by far the worst mark of his long career, and that's despite a slight reduction in his 3-point attempts this season. An upward correction is coming eventually, but owners may need to bench him until he gets some sustained offensive momentum. Nov 26 - 1:02 AM

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson scored just there points with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes on Friday.

He looked like the 2015 version of Ponce De Leon over his previous two games, but Johnson was back to looking like he aged five years this summer. He can be left on the wire in standard leagues and owners in deeper leagues may even want to shoot for higher upside.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson scored 13 points with seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes against the Hawks on Tuesday.

Revenge game? As solid as this outing is, he's looked horrible all season and has shot below 40 percent from the field in nine of his 11 games. Johnson's steals are down and he's not making 3-pointers like he used to, so he's not really a pickup after this game.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson was quiet in Saturday's loss to the Warriors, scoring six points on 3-of-12 shooting with four boards, three assists and one steal in 41 minutes.

The simple fact that Johnson can only score six points in 41 minutes says a lot about his value moving forward, and it doesn't help that the Nets are floating around the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Father Time has clearly caught up with him and if you were looking for another reason to drop him, tonight's line should do the trick.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson scored 14 points with three rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers against the Kings on Friday.

The Nets really can't get away from playing him as a stretch four, but at least he's snapping out of his putrid start. That said, he's still pretty bad over his last five with averages of 13.0 points, 5.6 boards, 5.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.8 treys on 33.8 percent from the field. Johnson is far from a must-own player right now.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson chipped in 16 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists to help the Nets earn their first win of the season in Houston on Wednesday.

Among the Nets' problems is a stagnant offense that's scoring a league-low 90.4 points per game, including a league-low 23.6 percent mark from downtown. Johnson was just 4-of-13 from the field but he hit one 3-pointer, made 7-of-7 free throws, and helped pace the offense vs. the small-ball Rockets. Playing time hasn't been an issue for Johnson, and his owners are at least starting to see some return on their late-round investment.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson scored eight points on 3-of-10 shooting (no threes) with nine rebounds, six assists and one steal in Saturday's loss to the Bucks.

Johnson started off slow but has picked up the pace lately and still profiles as a late-round value. And if Brook Lopez (foot) misses any time, he'll get enough usage to make his efficiency a major risk.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson scored 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting (1-of-5 3PTs, 5-of-5 FTs) with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in Friday's loss to the Lakers.

Johnson and Kobe did battle and represent two of the league's most bloated contracts, but shade aside the Lakers presented a good chance for Johnson to get back on track. He's now up to 33 percent shooting on the year and he'll be a late-round value this year as long as he doesn't get hurt.
Nov 6 - 11:52 PM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson's latest revenge game vs. the Hawks didn't go well, as he shot 1-of-10 from the field to finish with five points, six rebounds and six assists.

He didn't have any defensive stats and the lousy shooting erases any value from the boards and assists. Johnson is a combined 15-of-53 from the field through five games (28.3 percent) and owners should probably bench him until he gets on track.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson (rest) sat out Tuesday's practice.

Johnson has been getting some extra rest days, so this shouldn't affect his availability for Wednesday's game against the Hawks. The 34-year-old has been solid thus far and is worth a start in standard fantasy leagues as long as he stays healthy.
Nov 3 - 1:35 PM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson scored 14 points on 5-of-14 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and six assists in the Nets' 103-96 loss to the Bucks on Monday.

After struggling with a bruised right hand to start the year he might be turning the corner on that, and this is a pretty good representation of what to expect from him. Thad Young added 13 points, six boards, five assists and one block, Jarrett Jack scored 15 points with three rebounds, four assists and a trey, and Brook Lopez added 18 and nine with two blocks in the loss.
Nov 3 - 12:27 AM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson said that the Nets are frustrated after falling to a 0-3 start to the season.

"I think everybody is pretty much frustrated at this point," Johnson said. "But we have to keep working, keep pulling at them, and just keep going hard on both ends of the floor. … It’ll come together." To make matters worse, the Nets don't own their first-round pick this season, so their only option is to try and scrape together as many wins as possible. The Nets will take on the Bucks on Monday.
Nov 1 - 10:05 AM
Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson (bruised right hand) finished Saturday's game with 11 points, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 32 minutes.

He announced 30 minutes before tip-off that he was good to go, and didn't seem to have any trouble shooting the ball tonight. Johnson is averaging a mere 7.7 points this season, with paltry across-the-board stats to make up the difference, but it's safe to assume the 15-year veteran will get back on track in the coming weeks. Owners can continue to view him as a late-round option.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson said his bruised right hand is "no big deal" and he will play on Saturday.

Johnson shot 1-of-7 from the field on Friday so fantasy owners should prepare themselves for a potentially rough game vs. the Grizzlies' defense. Johnson's availability takes the shine off Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Bojan Bogdanovic as potential plug-and-plays.

Joe Johnson - G/F - Nets

Joe Johnson (hand) will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Grizzlies.

He had ice on his hand during Friday's game and there really hasn't been anything positive yet on Joe. If he is out, we should see a combination of Bojan Bogdanovic and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson at the three. Bojan would be the better play in DFS for his much higher usage rate on offense. Wayne Ellington is also more appealing.
