Zach Randolph said he has been benefitting from consistent minutes in Sacramento.
Randolph was rested sporadically in January, as the Kings decided to give more playing time to their youngsters. However, due to injuries, Z-Bo has been back in the lineup nearly every night. Prior to the final game before the All-Star break, Randolph had started nine straight games and was averaging 15.4 point and 8.0 rebounds in 27.9 minutes over that stretch. "You get a good rhythm," Randolph said. "Especially something that I’m not used to, the team developing our young players. So you get into a good rhythm, it’s important, playing and getting that feel." Feb 16 - 12:52 PM

Date:

Zach Randolph was a DNP-CD on Wednesday against the Rockets.

It's the first DNP he's picked up since Jan. 23, so Z-Bo played in each of the last eight games. Some of that is about George Hill being traded, but a bigger part is that Skal Labissiere hasn't been healthy. If Skal comes back OK, Randolph likely has more DNPs coming.
Feb 14 - 10:52 PM

JaKarr Sampson is starting over Zach Randolph against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Chances are that Randolph is getting the night off on a back-to-back set after the Kings earned a win. It's been a while since he's been rested and he played in every game since the George Hill deal. Expect more rest days going forward.
Feb 14 - 8:02 PM

Zach Randolph led the Kings to a 114-109 win over the Mavericks on Tuesday, scoring 22 points with seven rebounds, three assists and two triples in 26 minutes.

The Kings used to rest two veterans every game, but Z-Bo has now played in nine straight because they are a little shorthanded. He's been pretty productive as well, scoring in double digits in eight of those games and grabbing at least seven rebounds in seven of those. That may change when Skal Labissiere (shoulder) returns to action, but for now Z-Bo's owners can keep throwing him into lineups.
Feb 13 - 11:23 PM

Zach Randolph finished with 14 points across 21 minutes in Saturday's 106-99 loss against the Mavericks.

Randolph was 6-of-10 from the field, including 2-of-4 from behind the 3-point line, and he is hitting 56.0 percent (14-of-25) across the past two outings. Foul trouble held him from posting a giant stat line, limiting him to five rebounds, three assists while turning it over five times. He'll look for better results Monday against the Bulls, the first of three games in the new week.
Feb 4 - 1:18 AM

Zach Randolph ended up with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals over 28 minutes in Friday's home loss against the Warriors.

Randolph was decent from the field, hitting 8-of-15 while going 1-of-4 from behind the 3-point line. He is averaging 22.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals over the past two outings. Z-Bo might see some additional DNPs down the stretch, as the team leans upon its younger players. However, when he is in there he is still proving he can be a very effective fantasy option.
Feb 3 - 1:35 AM

Zach Randolph played for the third straight game and racked up 26 points, 12 rebounds, a steal and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes of Tuesday's 114-103 win over the Pelicans.

With Willie Cauley-Stein and Skal Labissiere injured, the Kings plan of resting vets all the time may be temporarily thrown out the window. But before you get too excited about tonight's line, keep in mind that Z-Bo hadn't scored more than 12 points in a game since Jan. 11 and has been rested in three of his last eight games. The injuries to fellow Kings' big men may be keeping him afloat right now, but he's still not a very appealing player to pick up right now, with more DNPs likely coming his way soon.
Jan 30 - 11:06 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) started Sunday's game to finish with nine points, seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

This was Z-Bo's highest playing time since Dec. 10, but the Kings were coming off two days' rest and playing without Skal Labissiere (left shoulder strain) and Willie Cauley-Stein (knee, foot). Randolph's line would have been better if he made more than 4-of-15 from the field, but nobody will complain about his across-the-board contributions. With random DNPs a certainty down the stretch, Randolph isn't very appealing in most situations.
Jan 28 - 10:48 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is listed as a starter vs. the Spurs on Sunday.

Z-Bo is listed alongside Kosta Koufos, Justin Jackson, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and De'Aaron Fox. The Kings are playing without both Willie Cauley-Stein (knee, ankle) and Skal Labissiere (shoulder), so they should to lean heavily on the frontcourt veterans.
Jan 28 - 7:04 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is probable to play Sunday vs. the Spurs.

Both Skal Labissiere (shoulder) and Willie Cauley-Stein (knee, foot) are out tonight, so Randolph will have the opportunity for some quality minutes tonight. That could change, however, if the game turns into a blowout.
Jan 28 - 5:26 PM

Zach Randolph scored 10 points with 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 28 minutes against the Heat on Thursday.

He was right back to his normal playing time following his two DNPs on Monday and Tuesday. Randolph will be getting more scheduled days off, but coach Dave Joerger hasn't tipped his hand on a clear pattern on who rests when. He's probably not worth owning in shallower leagues unless you're streaming him.
Jan 25 - 10:15 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is starting against the Heat on Thursday.

He did not play in the last two games with a sore left knee keeping him out on Tuesday. Randolph is going to get nights off with some regularity, so he's not going to be fun to own in 10- or 12-team leagues.
Jan 25 - 7:17 PM

Zach Randolph (sore left knee) is probable for Thursday's game vs. the Heat.

Z-Bo was expected to play on Tuesday vs. the Magic, but coach Dave Joerger forgot to activate him on the official lineup sheet. Skal Labissiere (shoulder) is also probable, but it's hard to trust any big in Sacramento right now outside of Willie Cauley-Stein.
Jan 25 - 12:39 PM

Zach Randolph (sore left knee) is inactive for Tuesday's game vs. the Magic.

We're not making this up. Randolph was going to give it a go tonight according to the Kings broadcast, but coach Dave Joerger marked him as "inactive" on their lineup sheet -- he's not allowed to play once that happens. Keep up the great work, Joerger.
Jan 23 - 7:11 PM

Zach Randolph's (sore left knee) status for Tuesday's game vs. the Magic is unclear.

There is no update from the Kings or their beat reporters. Coach Dave Joerger said that George Hill and Kosta Koufos are resting, so maybe Z-Bo will be available off the bench. De'Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Vince Carter, Skal Labissiere and Willie Cauley-Stein are starting. If you're holding Z-Bo, you should find a more reliable option ASAP.
