Zach Randolph (knee) returned on Sunday with 17 points, 11 rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes, helping the Grizzlies rally in the fourth quarter to beat the 76ers.
He sat out the past five games, during which the Grizzlies went 3-2, and he didn't quite have his rhythm tonight with 6-of-17 shooting mark vs. the 76ers. His return bumped Matt Barnes back to the Grizzlies' bench and it's safe to activate Z-Bo with three games on the slate this week. Nov 29 - 10:07 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) will start against the 76ers on Sunday with Matt Barnes shifting to the bench.

After a six-game absence, Z-Bo is officially back. It still doesn't sound like he is 100 percent and the Grizzlies will want to be cautious going forward, but his owners can go ahead and get him in their active lineups with a favorable matchup with the 76ers on the slate. We'll let you know how he does after the game.
Nov 29 - 5:54 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is hoping that he'll be able to return to action for Sunday's game against the 76ers.

Randolph has spent the past six games on the sidelines with a sore knee, but it sounds like he's going to give it a go tonight. Players tend to prefer to return from injury with a favorable matchup, so it's looking like Z-Bo has a good chance of being in uniform tonight against the winless Sixers. Matt Barnes will return to the bench if Randolph is active, and Jeff Green will lose some touches on offense.
Nov 29 - 4:28 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) will remain sidelined for Friday's game against the Hawks.

It'll be Randolph's sixth consecutive game on the sidelines, and the Grizzlies have been sparse with the details as to where exactly he is in his recovery from what is being called a sore knee. Matt Barnes is going to get another start tonight, and he's been solid as a starter with averages of 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5 three-pointers per game. Jeff Green will also continue to see an increased role on offense sans Z-Bo.
Nov 27 - 7:51 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is a game-time decision to play against the Hawks on Friday.

This will basically be his fifth straight game-time call. Randolph's sore knee has kept him out for every game since Nov. 20, so it's tough to tell if he'll play tonight. Jeff Green has been phenomenal while Mike Conley has been on his A game lately, too. Matt Barnes also has played well.
Nov 27 - 6:28 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, and Matt Barnes will start in his place.

Matt Barnes started on Tuesday, and had a nice game with 14 points, seven boards, three assists, three 3-pointers and two steals over 38 minutes, so he's worth considering in DFS. Jeff Green has also see his roll on offense increased sans Z-Bo, so he too makes sense as a punt play in daily leagues. The Grizzlies take on the Hawks on Friday, and we'll be considering Randolph questionable for that one.
Nov 25 - 7:59 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is a game-time decision, but it's doubtful he plays, according to Rockets beat writer Calvin Watkins.

It's important to note here that this report is coming from the Rockets side of things, so the doubtful distinction shouldn't be written in pen. Still, Jeff Green has been outstanding and Matt Barnes was effective on Tuesday, too. Both Green and Barnes are in play for DFS and standard leagues tonight.
Nov 25 - 6:36 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Mavericks.

He is expected to be on the active list, but he won't see the floor unless it's an emergency. Matt Barnes will draw the start and has been playing well recently, while JaMychal Green and Jeff Green will play more as well. Consider Z-Bo day-to-day.
Nov 24 - 8:01 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) will be active for Tuesday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Randolph missed the past two games due to knee soreness, but it's still not clear if he will actually start or just be serve as emergency depth off the bench. As always, we'll have another update shortly. JaMychal Green and Jeff Green will benefit if Z-Bo can't play.
Nov 24 - 7:15 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is questionable to play Tuesday against the Mavericks.

Randolph has missed Memphis' past two games with general knee soreness, and it's been JaMychal Green starting in his place, although he really hasn't done much with averages of 6.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest. If Randolph is out again on Tuesday, Mike Conley, Jeff Green and Marc Gasol will all have a bit more opportunity on offense, with Gasol offering the most upside.

Zach Randolph (knee) will not play on Saturday vs. the Spurs.

He was going to be a game-time decision, but Randolph admitted that he was "too sore." The Grizzlies are off until Tuesday against the Mavericks, so we'll consider him questionable for that contest. JaMychal Green should start in Randolph's absence, while Jeff Green's fantasy value gets a nice bump. On a side note, Randolph will be uniform, but he will only be used in an emergency.
Nov 21 - 7:27 PM

Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger doesn't think Zach Randolph will be able to play vs. the Spurs on Saturday.

Randolph hasn't been ruled out, so he will likely be a game-time decision once again. However, his owners should have a backup plan ready as it sounds like the chances of him playing are slim to none. JaMychal Green will likely draw another start if Randolph can't go, while Jeff Green would be a little more active on offense.
Nov 21 - 7:13 PM

Zach Randolph (knee soreness) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Saturday.

He is likely looking at another game-time decision tonight. The Grizzlies are not usually good at reporting in a timely fashion, so we probably won't get word on Z-Bo's status until just before tip. If he's out, Jeff Green would have a bump in value with JaMychal Green likely getting a start again.
Nov 21 - 5:51 PM

Zach Randolph (sore knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Rockets, and JaMychal Green will start in his place.

We'll be considering Randolph questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Spurs, but given that it's just a sore knee, there's a decent chance he'll be able to give it a go tomorrow. Green is a bit of a gamble in DFS, but there's a chance he can double-double tonight with a favorable matchup against the Rockets so he's worth a punt. Jeff Green should also get some more run at the four tonight.
Nov 20 - 7:49 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) is a game-time decision to play against the Rockets.

This is a lingering injury for Z-Bo, so it's tough to tell if he can play. The Grizzlies really keep game-time calls under wraps, so we probably won't have an official word until right before tip. With Brandan Wright (knee) out, we'll likely see JaMychal Green in the starting lineup if Z-Bo can't play. Jeff Green should also play a lot of power forward with the Rockets going small a lot, which makes Green more appealing. For what it's worth, Jeff has played 25 percent of his minuets at PF.
