Trail Blazers waive Jared Jeffries.
Jeffries hasn't played in a game since March 10, making this move completely expected. Jeffries' lack of offensive upside makes it a long shot he'll have any fantasy value going forward regardless of where he lands in free agency. Apr 18 - 4:59 PM

Jared Jeffries hasn't played in a game since March 10th, and he's expected to leave the Blazers as a free agent this summer.

This is a predictable report considering Jeffries' lack of activity this season. He hasn't shot better than 41 percent from the field in any of the past four seasons, and it would take a string of unlikely events for him to emerge as a fantasy option.

Jared Jeffries (nose) will play on Wednesday.

Jeffries has a black eye, but he'll battle through the injury and be available on Wednesday. He's part of the Blazers rotation, but off the fantasy radar.

Jared Jeffries cut his nose and went to the locker room in the third quarter of Monday's game and returned with less than one minute left in the game.

Jeffries has been in the rotation for Portland and logged 19 minutes in back-to-back games entering tonight's contest. He had no points and one rebound in seven minutes on Monday.

The Knicks will pay $1.35 million of Jared Jeffries' salary as part of the Raymond Felton sign-and-trade deal with the Blazers.

The Knicks will get Felton and veteran Kurt Thomas, but New York had to pay a shade over $1 million for the Blazers to agree to take Jeffries. Even if Jeffries (knees) is healthy, we don't envision a major role for him in Portland.

The Trail Blazers acquired Jared Jeffries as part of Saturday's sign-and-trade involving Raymond Felton.

Jeffries will get a three-year contract but it's doubtful that the whole deal will be guaranteed. The key to his season will be whether his ailing knees have improved after undergoing Orthokine therapy this summer.

Jared Jeffries recently traveled to Germany to receive the same knee procedure as Kobe Bryant.

Jeffries' knee has long been problematic, and there was previous speculation that Jeffries would go to Germany for what we like to call the "Kobe treatment." An unrestricted free agent, Jeffries has said that he would like to return to the Knicks, but the Wizards, Sixers and Suns are also "said to be interested."

Unrestricted free agent Jared Jeffries said that he wants to re-sign with the Knicks.

"I know that the Knicks are interested. I love New York," Jeffries said. He also added that he would "hate to leave New York now," but the team may not have cap space to retain him if other clubs express interest in his services. Still currently rehabbing his right knee, Jeffries was also expected to explore Orthokine therapy in the offseason.

Jared Jeffries (sore right knee) is expected to undergo Orthokine therapy in Europe this summer.

The treatment, for which Kobe Bryant is a poster-boy and cheerleader, still hasn't been approved by the United States FDA. It was previously reported that Jeffries would have knee surgery this summer, but it's possible he'll try Orthokine before taking an invasive surgical route.

Unrestricted free agent Jared Jeffries will undergo knee surgery this offseason.

Jeffries' knee woes late in the year made the defensive specialist even less effective than usual. He's no lock to be back with the Knicks.

Coach Mike Woodson said he hopes to get Jared Jeffries 20 minutes in Thursday's Game 3.

With Amare Stoudemire (hand) out, the Knicks are looking for some size. Jeffries is one of their best all-around defenders, but is a major liability offensively. Steve Novak and J.R. Smith are other candidates to pick up extra minutes Thursday.

Jared Jeffries returned to action during the Knicks' Game 1 defeat on Saturday, going scoreless with three rebounds in eight minutes.

Jeffries is on a medical limit of no more than 15 minutes per game, meaning New York's overlooked glue-guy is not going to change the tenor of the series.

Jared Jeffries will not play in the Knicks' final three regular season games, but he's expected back for the playoffs.

It's not clear whether Jeffries will be ready for Game 1 of the playoffs, but we're assuming that he will -- he said recently that he felt "okay" and was only resting to "strengthen the knee."
