Magic Johnson sold his minority stake in the Lakers on Monday, possibly setting the table for a purchase of the Pistons.

Magic's business acumen is well chronicled, and it should be pointed out that the Michigan native has always invested in struggling economic areas, so the fact that Detroit is struggling actually fits with his M.O. Anything that could breathe life into the area is a good thing.
