David Anderson has signed with ASVEL Villeurbanne of the French Pro A league.
Anderson's deal is reportedly for two years and will likely squash any chance of the 34-year-old returning to the NBA. Anderson last played in the NBA during the 2010-11 season and holds no fantasy value outside of fantasy leagues that incorporate French Pro A league stats. Sep 11 - 12:03 PM

David Andersen is close to signing with SIG Strasbourg.

Andersen last played in the NBA in 2011 for the (then) New Orleans Hornets and would be coincidentally taking current New Orleans Pelican Alexis Ajinca's spot on SIG Strasbourg's roster. Outside of fantasy leagues that incorporate European league stats, Andersen's impending signing is fantasy non-news.

David Andersen, who is playing for Australia in the Olympics, said that he'd like to return to the NBA.

Andersen has spent some time playing in Italy since we last saw him in the NBA. "My agent is working pretty hard on some things right now, and hei s just going to keep talking to some teams to see if something pops up," he said. That doesn't make it sound like there is very much interest in his services, and Andersen acknowledged that if he can't return to the NBA, he'll take his game back to Europe.

The Hornets waived F/C David Andersen on Thursday.

He'll likely be picked up by another team, but shouldn't be worth owning.

Former Hornets big man David Andersen has reportedly signed a deal with the Italian team Montepaschi Siena.

Andersen has kicked around the league as a backup center with a decent jumpshot, but he won't be missed in fantasy circles. In 103 NBA appearances, he averaged 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12 minutes per game.

Hornets center David Andersen had six points and six rebounds off the bench on Sunday, picking up extra minutes once Emeka Okafor (strained hip) left the game.

Andersen and Jason Smith (16 minutes) will play the bulk of minutes at center if Emeka Okafor misses any games, but right now it's not clear whether he will or not. Regardless, neither backup is worth a speculative add.

Veteren big man David Andersen has been traded from Toronto to New Orleans.

Andersen, a backup center, is averaging 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds this season. He has decent range with his jumpshot and gives New Orleans welcome frontcourt depth, but won't have fantasy appeal.

David Andersen played through the flu in Saturday's game, scoring four points on 2-of-6 shooting with five rebounds and no assists.

He threw up at Customs but that couldn't keep a good man down. Projectile vomiting set aside, he is buried in the rotation and has no fantasy value at this time.

David Andersen missed Wednesday's gamd with flu-like symptoms.

Just doing due diligence here, as Andersen has no fantasy value.

David Anderson (back) returned to action on Wednesday, scoring nine points on 2-of-4 shooting with four rebounds and no assists in 17 minutes.

He's buried on the depth chart and is unlikely to have value in fantasy leagues this year.

David Andersen (back) sat out the Raptors' exhibition on Sunday.

We'll update Andersen's status once more is known. For now it looks like (at best) he'll carve out a niche off Toronto's bench.

The Raptors acquired veteran big man David Andersen this summer, though it's unclear where he'll fit into the rotation.

As pointed out by the Toronto Star, "Toronto already has Andrea Bargnani and Amir Johnson as expected frontcourt starters and drafted a young big man in Ed Davis." There is no reason for fantasy owners to draft Andersen, who spent nine seasons playing in Italy, Russia, and Spain. On a side note, the Raptors didn't cut into their $14.5 million trade exception to acquire him.

The Raptors have acquired center David Andersen from the Rockets for cash and a second-round pick.

The jump-shooting big man will likely fill a reserve role in Toronto's frontcourt, but could have a little bit of value in deeper leagues if he gets enough run. Andersen averaged just 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds last season, but on the 15 occasions he received 20 or more minutes, his averages escalated to 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Rockets big man David Andersen (sore lower back) is expected to miss the remainder of season for precautionary reasons.

Andersen provided Houston with some length and frontcourt flexibility, especially with Yao Ming out of commission, but he never had a big impact. He'll probably play a bit role off some team's bench again next season.
