The Wizards have reportedly given Rasual Butler a training camp invite, and he'll fight for the last remaining roster spot on the team.
Butler will be competing for a roster spot with the likes of Xavier Silas and Damion James, but even if he makes the team, he'll be irrelevant from a fantasy standpoint. Sep 22 - 7:02 PM

Rasual Butler will get the start at shooting guard against the Bucks on Wednesday.

He's had just three games playing at least 20 minutes this season, averaging 7.6 points with 1.7 triples in those three. The Pacers will likely move guys around and slide Evan Turner to shooting guard to allow Chris Copeland to get some minutes, so Butler may not see too much playing time. Unless you're really just targeting treys in a deep league, there should be other options.

Rasual Butler said he's fine after getting his eye scratched on Monday.

He played 14 minutes against the Pistons and scored five points. Butler has played a little more lately and logged 24 minutes on Friday, but he is very unlikely to see minutes once Danny Granger (knee, hamstring) comes back.

Rasual Butler will be on the Pacers' roster to begin the season.

Danny Granger's calf injury leaves Indiana thin at SG/SF, especially if Chris Copeland plays most of his minutes at PF. Butler will serve as depth behind Lance Stephenson and Paul George, but the 34-year-old isn't a fantasy option.

Rasual Butler will sign a non-guaranteed contract to join the Pacers for training camp, according to

The Pacers don't have overwhelming depth on the wings, especially with Chris Copeland and Danny Granger both returning from knee injuries, so Butler has an outside chance to make the regular season roster. The 10-year veteran played 32 games for the Raptors in 2011-12 before spending last season with the Tulsa 66ers in the D-League.

Rasual Butler, who is playing for the Pacers' Summer League team, has no intention of retiring from the NBA.

Butler played in the D-League last season, averaging 17.8 points and 5.1 boards per game. "I feel like [playing in Summer League] is the part of the process right now, having been out of the league for a year," he said. "People can see that I'm still mobile, I can move around the court, I haven't lost a step, and I can still shoot the ball." During the 2011-12 season, he shot 30.8 percent from the field in 34 appearances with Toronto.

Rasual Butler will play with the Tulsa 66ers in the D-League, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Butler worked out for the Bucks before training camp began this season, but the team wound up signing Marquis Daniels instead.

The Bucks hosted free agents Marquis Daniels, Rasual Butler and Rodney Carney during an informal workout session on Monday.

Milwaukee could certainly use more depth at the SG/SF positions, which makes it plausible that they'll sign someone out of this group. None of these guys have fantasy appeal, regardless of where they land.

The Raptors waived G/F Rasual Butler.

This move was made today to allow Butler to sign with a team before the playoff free agent deadline on Friday. Butler had fallen completely out of the rotation with Linas Kleiza and James Johnson emerging in their roles in Toronto.

Rasual Butler double-doubled with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting and 10 rebounds to go with one steal in 37 minutes of action on Monday against the Knicks.

Considering Butler hasn't grabbed more than three rebounds since Dec. 25, 2009, we're pretty comfortable calling this a fluke. He has competition from James Johnson, and though Butler got the lion's share of minutes tonight, we need to see clear separation and production before recommending Butler for anything.

Rasual Butler has agreed to a one-year contract with the Raptors.

Butler gives the Raptors added depth at SG and SF, and he'll come far cheaper than Mickael Pietrus (who Toronto may not be signing, after all).

Rasual Butler has left CB Gran Canaria.

Butler signed with the team in Spain less than one month ago, but has already left the team for "personal reasons". It's not clear if he plans to resume his playing anywhere at this point.

Rasual Butler has signed with CB Gran Canaria.

Butler's deal is for the upcoming season, but will reportedly not have an out clause. He was signed off the street by the Bulls in March, but he played in only six games. He'll likely look to re-build his stock around the league by playing overseas for a full season.

The Bulls are not expected to bring back free agent Rasual Butler.

Butler signed with the Bulls off the street in March, but appeared in just six games. He'll attract some level of interest on the open market for the minimum salary because he can shoot the rock.

Bulls signed free agent G/F Rasual Butler.

Butler was bought out by the Clippers and attracted little interest on the open market. The sharpshooter is expected to play a bit role for the Bulls, but won't beat out Kyle Korver.
