The Hornets officially re-signed Jannero Pargo on Friday.
"We’re pleased that Jannero will be back with us again this season," said Hornets GM Rich Cho. "He is a great veteran presence in our locker room who is always ready when called upon." With Kemba Walker and Brian Roberts on the roster, it will take an injury for Pargo to have any fantasy relevance. Pargo has accumulated career averages of 6.4 points, 2.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds a game, he's not worth drafting in any format. Jul 25 - 3:21 PM

Jannero Pargo has decided to re-sign with the Hornets.

Pargo is a third-string point guard who will fight for minutes backing up Kemba Walker behind Brian Roberts. He is not a fantasy option in any format.
Jul 18 - 10:57 AM

Jannero Pargo hit 5-of-8 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points and two assists in just 15 minutes on Saturday.

He's quietly scored in double figures in four straight games and is averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 3-pointers over that stretch. He's worth a deep-league look for now, but once Kemba Walker is back from his sprained ankle, Pargo will quickly become an afterthought.
Jan 25 - 9:48 PM

Jannero Pargo stayed hot against the Knicks on Friday with 11 points, one board, eight assists and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

He played the last 19 minutes of this game because the Bobcats ran into a buzz saw tonight. Pargo has scored 11 points in all three of his games without Kemba Walker (ankle) this week, adding averages of 1.3 boards, 4.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.3 triples. He's only on the radar in very deep leagues and should only play minutes in the teens.
Jan 25 - 1:20 AM

Jannero Pargo scored a season-high 11 points in Monday's win over the Raptors during his 14 minutes of action.

He scored eight points in the first half and added a total of two boards, four assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in the game. Pargo will backup Ramon Sessions, but there isn't too much to like because Sessions doesn't commit many fouls and he's capable of playing big minutes. He's only on the radar in deep leagues.
Jan 20 - 5:46 PM

Bobcats reserve G Jannero Pargo led all scorers on Saturday with 24 points, making 8-of-12 shots including a perfect 4-of-4 from downtown.

He did his damage in 23 minutes, mostly against a disjointed Bucks' second-unit, and this solid game isn't applicable to his regular season outlook. Kemba Walker had a slow night by comparison, scoring 12 points with four boards and one assist in 25 minutes.

Jannero Pargo and the Bobcats agreed to a one-year contract worth $1.4 million.

Pargo had discussions with the Knicks last week, but New York agreed to a deal with Beno Udrih on Thursday. Pargo played for three clubs last season but finished with the Bobcats. He'll likely compete with Ramon Sessions for time behind starting point guard Kemba Walker.

Jannero Pargo is having conversations with the Knicks about a contract.

He hopped around the NBA last season, playing for the Hawks, Bobcats and Wizards. He didn't have too many positives with those teams, shooting 36 percent over the course of the season and not playing more than 16.3 minutes per game with any of those three teams. The Knicks are also looking at Bobby Brown and Beno Udrih to become their third point guard.

Updating a previous item, Bobcats sign G Jannero Pargo for the remainder of the season.

Pargo will finish out the season with the Bobcats and will use it as an audition to continue his career next year.

The Bobcats will sign Jannero Pargo for the remainder of the season, a source told the Charlotte Observer.

Pargo, who has had two 10-day deals with the team, has averaged 9.4 points on 40.7 percent shooting in 17.5 minutes per game with Charlotte. He'll continue to hold down the backup point guard spot with Ramon Sessions (knee) still out.

The Bobcats signed Jannero Pargo to a second 10-day contract on Sunday.

Pargo is averaging 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals since joining Charlotte, and he secured another deal with a 16-point bench effort on Saturday. Don't give him a second thought in average leagues.

Jannero Pargo lit up the Pistons for 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting, with two 3-pointers, in Saturday's tough loss in Charlotte

Pargo scored 11 consecutive points to end the third quarter, hitting an array of tough jumpers, and he's all but guaranteed himself another 10-day contract (his current deal expires at midnight on Saturday). This marks his fourth consecutive game in double figures, which is impressive, but his backup PG role is too limited to recommend him in standard formats.

The Bobcats signed Jannero Pargo to another 10-day contract.

It was an obvious move and he's played well for them in his previous 10 days. Pargo scored 13 points per game in his previous three games and is at least on the map as a streaming option in deeper daily leagues.
Sat, Mar 23, 2013 07:01:00 PM

Jannero Pargo scored 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting (including three treys) with six assists and two steals in 19 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Pargo is already a favorite of Mike Dunlap's and had a big game on Saturday, but there are way too many bodies at the guard slots to make a move on him in standard formats. If you want to take a flier on him in a deeper league be our guest, but keep the expectations in check.

Jannero Pargo came off the Bobcats' bench to score a team-high 18 points vs. Boston on Saturday, hitting 5-of-12 FGs with four 3-pointers, four assists, one steal and one block.

This was Pargo's second game with 10+ points all season, and we're not expecting a repeat performance. Gerald Henderson, who came in averaging 20.3 points per game vs. the Celtics, added 16 points, four assists, one steal and one block. Kemba Walker also had 14 points and four assists, but those three guards were the only Bobcats in double-digits.
