Reggie Evans was disappointing in a start on Tuesday, playing just 19 minutes and finishing with four points, six boards, one assist and one block.
He rightfully replaced Ryan Hollins in the starting lineup, but failed to impress in what was an off night for the rebounding machine. DeMarcus Cousins (illness) could be back as soon as Thursday, so there is no reason for Evans to be owned outside of the deepest of leagues. Leave him on the wire. Dec 17 - 1:43 AM

Date:

Reggie Evans is set to draw the start for Tuesday's game vs. the Thunder, replacing Ryan Hollins.

Hollins has been ineffective in the starting lineup, so the move makes sense. Hollins can be cut across the board while Evans is worth a look for short-term value for owners in need of rebounding.
Dec 16 - 9:02 PM

Reggie Evans took over as the Kings' starting PF on Tuesday, scoring eight points with 14 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two turnovers in 30 minutes of action.

Evans made 3-of-3 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs, and he has eclipsed the Kings' other big men during DeMarcus Cousins' extended absence. His fantasy value is almost exclusively limited to rebounding, but he's worth a look with DeMarcus Cousins (viral meningitis) out indefinitely.
Dec 10 - 1:15 AM

Reggie Evans is set to start in Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers, replacing Ryan Hollins.

DeMarcus Cousins (illness) has already been ruled out for the week, so owners in need of rebounding can give Evans a long look. Ryan Hollins wasn't even a fantasy option as a starter, so he can be ignored in almost all formats.
Dec 9 - 10:12 PM

Reggie Evans scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting with 13 rebounds and one steal in 34 minutes on Monday against the Jazz.

Evans is a necessary evil for Mike Malone and he could be a late-round value on the strength of his rebounding, though his defensive liabilities and decision-making can pull him off the court at any time and kill his value in a snap.
Dec 9 - 2:11 AM

Reggie Evans will start against the Jazz on Monday.

The Kings have been bringing him off the bench, but the minutes have been there. Evans won't really do much outside of grab some boards, so he's not a great pickup in most leagues.
Dec 8 - 9:57 PM

Reggie Evans hauled in a season-high 20 rebounds (nine offensive) and scored a season-high 17 points on Sunday, earning 35 minutes in DeMarcus Cousins' absence.

Evans hadn't played since Nov. 13 and he's strictly a boards specialist even if he does surface with a reliable role in coach Mike Malone's rotation. He added one assist, one steal and one block to his out-of-the-blue line tonight, delighting the handful of deep-league owners who had him active.
Nov 30 - 8:49 PM

Reggie Evans grabbed 13 boards on Saturday during a 91-59 win over Maccabi Haifa to go with two points, one assist and one steal.

When an opponent misses 57 shots, there are going to be some boards. Evans is going to get his piece of the pie, but there just won't be much fantasy value here for the one-category big man. Fantasy owners in any league should be able to do better. Jason Thompson was awful in his 15 minutes, failing to score.
Oct 19 - 1:52 AM

Kings coach Mike Malone said that Reggie Evans and Jason Thompson have been the "MVPs" of training camp.

"I think it’s important for everybody to know Jason and Reggie have been unbelievable to this point and my hope his they continue to do so," Malone said. Both guys are in the mix to start at PF this season, though Evans' total lack of offense makes him an unlikely candidate. In fantasy leauges he remains what he's always been, a pure rebound specialist.
Oct 1 - 1:57 PM

Reggie Evans (back) is expected to play against the Blazers on Wednesday.

He missed Tuesday's game due to a bad back and should be ready to go tonight. Evans is only good for rebounds and is not a fantasy option in most cases.
Apr 9 - 8:36 PM

Reggie Evans played 29 minutes and grabbed 18 rebounds with six points, one assist and two steals vs. the Mavericks on Saturday.

He's been one of the best rebounders in the NBA over the past decade, but that's all he's good for. Evans tends to stay on his man to box out and that means he's less likely to get blocks from weak side help. He can be ignored unless you're looking to make a late charge in rebounds.
Mar 30 - 12:26 AM

Reggie Evans started at power forward again on Tuesday and had seven points, 10 rebounds and two steals in the overtime win.

He's averaging 6.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals over his last three games, but should only be looked at in deeper fantasy leagues, by owners desperate for rebounds. Jason Thompson came off the bench for 10 points, five rebounds and a block in 23 minutes.
Mar 19 - 2:00 AM

Reggie Evans will make another start at PF vs. the Bulls on Saturday.

Evans and Derrick Williams will trade off starts on a game-by-game basis, according to coach Mike Malone, and Evans got the nod tonight due to the Bulls' bulk. He had six points, eight rebounds and three steals in 22 minutes while starting on Tuesday, but should only be deployed by owners desperate for rebounds.
Mar 15 - 6:56 PM

Reggie Evans moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday and had six points, eight rebounds and three steals in 22 minutes.

Jason Thompson moved to the bench and had three points and seven rebounds in just 14 minutes. The power forward spot for the Kings has been a black hole for most of the season, and we don't see things changing if Evans sticks in the starting unit.
Mar 11 - 10:27 PM

Reggie Evans started at power forward for the Kings on Tuesday, sending Jason Thompson to the bench.

Evans is off to a nice start and we'll let you know how each player fared after the conclusion of tonight's game.
