According to Sheridan Hoops, DeMarcus Cousins is a big fan of Reggie Evans and is hoping that the Kings re-sign him.
There has been a lot of turmoil between head coach George Karl and DeMarcus Cousins this summer, so it wouldn't be the worst idea for the Kings to please their franchise center. Evans only made 43 appearances for the Kings last season with averages of 3.7 points and 6.4 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game, so it's obvious that he wouldn't be a factor in fantasy leagues if he re-signed with the Kings. Reggie Evans (thumb) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.

Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson should be in line for heavy minutes Wednesday, and they are both worth starting in standard leagues. Carl Landry and Ryan Hollins should also play more, but their value is very limited. If you had Evans on your team, you probably aren't doing so hot.
Apr 15 - 10:39 AM

Reggie Evans (thumb) will not play against the Lakers on Monday.

He missed Sunday and the Kings went with Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams in the starting lineup. Ryan Hollins and Carl Landry also played minutes in the high teens. Williams offers the highest upside among the Kings' PFs and Cs.
Apr 13 - 4:10 PM

Reggie Evans (thumb) is doubtful to play against the Nuggets on Sunday.

Assuming he's out, that means Derrick Williams, Jason Thompson and Carl Landry should see big minutes. Sim Bhullar's 10-day deal is up and he's not expected to be back. Williams and Thompson are worth starting in standard leagues while Landry is worth a look.
Apr 11 - 8:14 PM

Reggie Evans took over as the Kings' starting center on Tuesday, finishing with four points, eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 17 minutes.

Jason Thompson chipped in six points, eight boards and two blocks in 31 minutes off the bench and neither guy is worth owning in standard leagues despite DeMarcus Cousins' absence with a foot injury. If you must choose one out of desperation, Thompson is the big man to target for help with rebounds and FG percentage.
Apr 8 - 12:39 AM

Reggie Evans is starting vs. the Wolves on Tuesday in place of DeMarcus Cousins (foot).

Cousins is considered doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz, so Evans could be a sneaky play this week for owners in need of rebounding. In six previous starts this season, Evans has posted averages of 6.8 points and 10.0 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per game. Jason Thompson should also play more tonight while Sim Bhullar is expected to make his debut.
Apr 7 - 9:20 PM

Reggie Evans and Jason Thompson will start against the Grizzlies on Monday night.

Omri Casspi will move to the bench because a small lineup probably won't work well against the Grizzlies. Evans and Thompson both posted 0.0 usage rates on Friday, so it's hard to be too excited about starting either in most leagues. Thompson is by far the more attractive play tonight.
Mar 30 - 6:41 PM

Reggie Evans returned from a three-game absence due to a knee injury on Wednesday and had two points, 11 rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes.

Jason Thompson looked much better than usual tonight, so we doubt Evans starts going off on a regular basis, but then again, we've seen him go on a late-season tear and become a rebounding monster. Just keep an eye on him.
Feb 26 - 3:20 AM

Reggie Evans (right knee contusion) will not play on Saturday vs. the Clippers.

The rebounding specialist will have to earn his playing time back under new head coach George Karl, but there's no telling when he will return to action. Leave Evans on the wire.
Feb 21 - 9:17 PM

Reggie Evans (right knee contusion) will not play against the Celtics on Friday.

The Kings are going to play Rudy Gay at the four more, so Evans is not needed as much and may have been a DNP-CD anyway. He's not worth owning in almost any league.

Feb 20 - 4:15 PM

Reggie Evans scored 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting with 16 rebounds and one steal in the Kings' 115-106 home loss to the Suns on Friday.

Evans is a solid rebounder but struggles defensively and with the Kings having sent their depth away this offseason he's being relied upon offensively. Kings fans can only hope that DeMarcus Cousins (illness) can get back on the floor Saturday night against the Knicks.

Reggie Evans will start at center against the Suns on Friday.

With Ryan Hollins (personal) out, he was really the only choice to start. Evans is a good bet for double-digit boards, but he won't do much else. Derrick Williams could also get a little extra burn tonight.
Fri, Dec 26, 2014 09:13:00 PM

Reggie Evans (knee) came off the Kings' bench for two points and four rebounds in seven minutes of action during Sunday's home win vs. the Lakers.

Evans is tied for fourth in the NBA in rebound rate, hauling in 22.1 percent of all shots missed while he's on the court, which is lower than only Bismack Biyombo, DeMarcus Cousins and DeAndre Jordan. That rebounding prowess is the extent of Evans' fantasy appeal.
Sun, Dec 21, 2014 10:58:00 PM

Reggie Evans (knee) is probable to play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Now that DeMarcus Cousins is back, Evans is not very important. He can rebound with the best of them, but that's about it. Leave him on the wire.
Sat, Dec 20, 2014 09:59:00 PM

Reggie Evans (knee, hip) will not play Thursday vs. the Bucks.

Evans suffered the injuries during Tuesday's game vs. OKC, and there is currently no timetable set for his return. With DeMarcus Cousins expected to return on Thursday, there's not much reason to hold onto Evans, and he can be cut in most leagues. Carl Landry and Derrick Williams will likely see some extended minutes, but neither makes for a great plug-and-play option.
