Former NBA champion Devin Brown has agreed to a contract with the Polish team Asseco Prokom Gdynia.
Brown won a ring with the Spurs in 2005 but hasn't been heard from lately. He played for the Hornets and Bulls in 2010, but after being waived by Chicago he had "a year of inactivity." He wasn't likely to latch onto an NBA roster. Sun, Sep 11, 2011 08:38:00 AM

Coach Vinny Del Negro said that recently acquired Devin Brown is unlikely to play against his old Hornets teammates Friday night.

Del Negro said he wouldn't hesitate to use him if it was an emergency, and in any event fantasy owners shouldn't be affected by this news. Without a trade or injury to Kirk Hinrich or John Salmons, Brown is unlikely to have value in Chicago.

Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro wants to see recently acquired guard Devin Brown in practice before he decides how to use him.

''All I've seen is obviously playing against him and on film, so we'll see how it works out,'' said Del Negro. Brown will meet the team in Oklahoma City in anticipation of Wednesday's game, and fantasy owners shouldn't bother adding him until we see his role.

The Hornets have reportedly agreed to trade guard Devin Brown to the Bulls for center Aaron Gray.

The Hornets needed a big man and had too many guards, so the move makes sense. It would appear that Marcus Thornton should slide into the starting shooting guard spot in New Orleans, which means he should probably be owned in most leagues.

Devin Brown followed up Friday's zero-point performance with just three points in 19 minutes during Saturday's win against Indiana.

While Brown struggled, backup Marcus Thornton (13 points, five rebounds in 22 minutes) had another nice game, spearheading a solid effort from the bench. For now, at least, it looks like theyll continue to split minutes.

Devin Brown is shooting 41.0 percent from 3-point range this season, well above his 34.5 percent career mark.

Brown shot an anemic 28.9 percent from the land of trey last season, so we have to take his current numbers with a grain of salt. If he can't sustain this 3-point shooting pace, he'll be useless in the vast majority of leagues.

Devin Brown started and scored 10 points for the Hornets on Sunday, going 3-of-8 from the field with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, two steals and one block.

Brown's ability to knock down 3s and contribute (moderately) in most other categories makes him a borderline option in most fantasy leagues. Just don't be shocked by some awful shooting nights -- his career average is 40.5%.

Devin Brown returned to the starting lineup a night after scoring a career-high 30 points and had 11 points and a 3-pointer in a win over the Thunder.

James Posey returned to the bench and had nine points, five boards and a 3-pointer, while Brown is worth a look in many leagues as long as he stays in the starting five. He's not really a game-changer, but has hit double digits in scoring in four straight, and nine of his last 10 games.

Devin Brown was demoted to the bench Monday, replaced in the starting lineup by James Posey, but caught fire against his former team to hit 11-of-20 shots and five 3-pointers for a career-high 30 points in a win at Utah.

Brown added four rebounds and might have been in some starting lineups due to the fact he's been playing well, and had a four-game week. No one saw this explosion coming, especially from the bench. Keep an eye on him, as the Hornets play four times again next week.

Devin Brown was 4-of-4 with two 3-pointers in the first half of Wednesday's game to finish with 16 points, six boards and two threes in the win.

His only points in the second half came off free throws, but he has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games after scoring eight in his previous outing. Additionally, the Hornets are one of a few teams to play four times next week, meaning Brown might have some additional value in weekly leagues.

Despite a report earlier Tuesday by Yahoo! Sports that the Hornets had traded swingman Devin Brown to the Timberwolves for Jason Hart, Hornets officials have said no such deal took place.

Brown is averaging about 10 points per game for the Hornets, and is expected to play Tuesday against the Rockets. He went off for 22 points (6-of-7 three-pointers) Saturday against the Bulls, but it's hard to imagine him maintaining that kind of production on any consistent basis.

Hornets swingman Devin Brown hit 6-of-7 three-pointers against the Bulls, finishing with a team-high 22 points, four rebounds and two steals. All of his points came in the first half.

There was no way to predict this bombardment, as Brown is shooting 38.5% this season and isn't usually a reliable offensive option. Of course, it helps when you have an MVP-level point guard delivering the ball.

Devin Brown hit 7-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points in Friday's win.

It's possible the return of Chris Paul helped Brown tonight, so keep an eye on him. If he does it again on Tuesday against the Kings, think about grabbing him.

Hornets guard Devin Brown shot 1-of-9 against the Lakers, finishing with six points and eight assists in 25 minutes.

Brown seems incapable of improving his career 40.3% shooting. He's stuck at 36% this season, which is where he finished last year, and fantasy owners should avoid him.
Wed, Dec 2, 2009 02:23:00 AM

Devin Brown scored just seven points on 2-of-6 shooting with one rebound, zero assists, and one steal in just nine minutes of action.

Brown was hindered by foul trouble, but actually only got four fouls. Rookie Marcus Thornton was hot tonight, scoring a career-high 24 points, and was the main reason Brown rode the pine. We may have seen the changing of the guard tonight, so owners need to back off on using Brown for the moment.
