T.J. Ford was traded to the Warriors as a part of the Stephen Jackson-Richard Jefferson deal completed on Thursday.

Ford's inclusion was for cash purposes. He has already announced that his NBA career is over due to multiple neck injuries.

T.J. Ford (neck) is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the Spurs and says his career is over.

Ford has had multiple neck/spine issues in his career and sustained another scary "stinger" on Wednesday. Although the Spurs haven't confirmed, he'll officially retire shortly. During eight seasons with the Bucks, Raptors, Pacers and Spurs, Ford averaged 11.2 points, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

There is no timetable for T.J. Ford's return from a neck stinger.

Gregg Popovich said that Ford will play "when he feels comfortable ... That was a scary situation, so he’s going to let his mind calm down a little bit." Ford's slow return is completely understandable, as he's been diagnosed with a chronic narrowing of the spinal canal.

T.J. Ford's (neck) x-rays were negative, and he rejoined his teammates on the bench in the second half of Wednesday's game.

"They called it a stinger," said Gregg Popovich. A very scary fall left Ford on the floor for several minutes and he had to be helped off, but luckily he avoided any serious injury.

T.J. Ford left Wednesday night's game in the second quarter after taking a hard hit from behind while attempting to grab a rebound.

Ford was the victim of a shot to the back from Baron Davis, and then was kicked in the head area by Tiago Splitter while lying on the ground. He was in a great deal of pain, although it's not clear at this point what he injured. The Spurs PR department said that Ford is, "sore, but OK." But after seeing the way he needed to be helped to the locker room, we'd guess his night is over.

Spurs recalled G. T.J. Ford from the Austin Toros of the D-League.

An expected move as he was on schedule to return to the Spurs on Tuesday. He'll serve as Tony Parker's backup and offers no fantasy value as long as Parker is healthy.

T.J. Ford (hamstring) acknowledged that he's got to get his conditioning back in order.

Ford played eight minutes on Wednesday and came out of the game without aggravating his injury. "I've got to get in game shape, and it's tough to do on the fly," said Ford. He'll continue to backup Tony Parker and offers no fantasy value in that role.

T.J. Ford played for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury on Jan. 10 and had zero points and two assists in eight minutes on Wednesday.

He has no fantasy value, but could get some run down the line if Tony Parker suffers an injury.

T.J. Ford (hamstring) participated in practice on Tuesday.

Ford is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, and although he will dress, he "may or may not play" according to Gregg Popovich. Ford is expected to resume the backup point guard duties behind Tony Parker when fully integrated into the mix.

T.J. Ford (hamstring) is making progress and the Spurs are looking to get him back just after the All-Star break.

Ford has been playing one-on-one against fellow reserve point guard Cory Joseph and has also been doing work in two-on-two scenarios. "I've got to get my legs back under me," Ford said. He's missed the last 24 games, but Ford should be ready to return in the second half for San Antonio.

Ford is progressing in his rehab but the team isn't expecting him back until after the All-Star break. Once he does return, he'll slide back into his reserve role behind Tony Parker.

Gregg Popovich said T.J. Ford (hamstring) is still a couple of weeks from coming back.

Ford said "it's feeling a lot better, it's just up to the doctors and what they say," but Popovich isn't expecting an imminent return. We're still projecting him back in late February, but Ford isn't a fantasy option outside of extremely deep leagues.
