Luke Ridnour isn't sure if he will continue his playing career next season.
His family has given him the OK to keep playing in the NBA, but he's not certain that's what he wants to do right now. "I'll take a couple months and pray about it," he said. Let's just say that Ridnour's retirement plans won't be high priority for fantasy owners this summer, but he has carved out a nice career since being drafted out of Oregon in 2003. Apr 16 - 11:07 AM

Luke Ridnour will not play on Monday due to personal reasons.

He wasn't in the rotation on Saturday, so the Magic won't miss him much. Victor Oladipo will get a handful of minutes as the point guard and will play a lot tonight.
Apr 13 - 6:27 PM

Luke Ridnour will be active against the Raptors on Friday.

Elfrid Payton has looked a heck of a lot better and Victor Oladipo has been a fine ball-handler, so Ridnour isn't a complete lock for minutes. He's not worth owning in almost any league.
Apr 10 - 5:20 PM

Luke Ridnour went through shootaround and he is likely to return to action for Friday's game vs. Toronto.

Ridnour missed the Magic's past three games due to the birth of his child, but he'll more than likely be back in uniform tonight. That being said, he's averaging a meager 4.0 points and 2.0 assists on the season through 14.5 minutes of action, so there's no reason to own him in almost any league.
Apr 10 - 10:05 AM

Luke Ridnour will miss Tuesday's game due to the birth of his child.

Willie Green is also out with a hyper-extended knee, but the Magic at least get Evan Fournier (hip) back tonight. Fournier and Ben Gordon will hold down the backcourt with Orlando's second unit, but neither guy is likely to help fantasy owners while Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo are logging huge minutes.
Apr 8 - 5:20 PM

Luke Ridnour (wife having baby) will not be available to play vs. the Bucks on Saturday.

This will be his second straight game away from the team but he should be back in time for Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls. However, Ridnour isn't a big part of the rotation and shouldn't have been owned in most leagues anyways. Elfrid Payton will be busy tonight.
Apr 4 - 6:40 PM

Luke Ridnour (wife having baby) is not with the Magic on their current two-game road trip, and he will miss Friday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

We're going to consider him doubtful for Saturday's game against the Bucks as well, and with him unavailable, Elfrid Payton is going to get all the run he can handle. Payton gets a favorable matchup against the Timberwolves tonight, so he's someone to consider in daily leagues.
Apr 3 - 6:51 PM

Luke Ridnour played 16 efficient minutes during Sunday's loss, scoring 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting with a pair of 3-pointers and three steals.

Willie Green and Evan Fournier were both out with injuries so Ridnour stepped into a larger-than-usual role, but he's simply not a fantasy asset while Elfrid Payton is healthy. Ridnour said recently that he may retire this summer after 12 seasons in the NBA.
Mar 15 - 8:53 PM

Magic G Luke Ridnour may retire at the end of this season.

The 34-year-old Ridnour finds himself playing a very limited role behind Elfrid Payton for the rebuilding Magic, which may be part of his reluctance to return. His turnover rate has spiked while his usage rate and effective FG percentage have both plummeted this season, and there's zero incentive to own him in fantasy leagues.
Mar 12 - 10:05 AM

Luke Ridnour (hamstring) missed all five of his shot attempts on Tuesday, finishing scoreless with three rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes off the bench.

Although Ridnour began the season as a starter under former coach Jacque Vaughn, his role has predictably dwindled with Elfrid Payton taking over as the team's PG of the future. The 12-year veteran is averaging just 2.0 points on 35.3 percent shooting over his past 10 games.
Mar 10 - 9:26 PM

Luke Ridnour (hamstring) will be available to play Tuesday vs. the Pacers.

Ridnour will play limited minutes off the bench, but with season averages of just 3.7 points and 2.0 assists per game, he can't be viewed as a viable option in most leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Mar 10 - 5:43 PM

Luke Ridnour (hamstring) is likely to play against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Ridnour was able to complete practice without any limitations on Monday and is likely to be available for Tuesday's game. Ridnour's return will take a minor chunk out of Elfrid Payton's minutes, but the 34-year-old can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues as he's only averaging 13.4 minutes this season.
Mar 10 - 11:11 AM

Luke Ridnour (hamstring) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Celtics.

With Ridnour unavailable, Elfrid Payton will again be asked to log heavy minutes for Orlando. Elfrid has played well over the past two games, hitting double digits in the assist column, and he'll likely see his minutes in the high 30s tonight.
Mar 8 - 4:36 PM

Luke Ridnour (hamstring) will not play against the Kings on Friday.

The Magic will not have a true backup point guard behind Elfrid Payton again, so the rookie should be a lock for minutes around 35 tonight. Ridnour is not worth owning in most leagues.
Mar 6 - 5:27 PM

Luke Ridnour (hamstring) will not play vs. the Suns on Wednesday.

His absence shifts a few more minutes to Elfrid Payton, Willie Green and Ben Gordon, though there are no big winners here since Ridnour is playing just 10.6 minutes over his past five games. He's also shooting 28.6 percent from the field during that span and his absence shouldn't hurt any fantasy owners.
