Luke Ridnour will sit out for the 2015-16 season, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
He was traded four times this summer and there's a chance the 34-year-old guard retires. He played just 15 minutes per game last year with the Magic and fell out of the rotation numerous times. Mon, Sep 21, 2015 02:51:00 PM

Raptors waive G Luke Ridnour.

The Summer of Luke looks to have come to an end as Ridnour's trade tally this offseason will finish at four. The 34-year-old has said he will consider retirement, but there's still a chance that we see him hook on somewhere as a veteran backup for one more year. Even if he does land on an NBA roster, Ridnour can be left undrafted by fantasy owners in standard leagues.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have traded Luke Ridnour to the Toronto Raptors.

The Summer of Luke continues as Ridnour and his contract will now join his fourth team in a week. The Thunder will create a $2.85 million trade exception through this move and Oklahoma City will also acquire the draft rights of Tomislav Zubcic as part of the deal. It's unlikely that Ridnour will suit up for the Raptors, so he can largely be forgotten for fantasy purposes.

Luke Ridnour has been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeremy Lamb.

Ridnour has now been traded for the third time in the past day and it's unlikely he'll stick with the Thunder as his contract is not guaranteed. Jeremy Lamb will head to Charlotte as part of the deal and we'll hope that Ridnour is at least picking up some frequent flier miles as part of the package.

The Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly agreed to trade Luke Ridnour to the Charlotte Hornets for Matt Barnes, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

The Hornets are likely to waive Ridnour before the 2015-16 season as his contract is not guaranteed, while Barnes will provide the Grizzlies with toughness at the wing position. Neither player warrants much attention from fantasy owners, but Barnes could be worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues if he's able to carve out a large enough spot for himself in the Grizzlies' rotation.

The Orlando Magic traded Luke Ridnour to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for the rights to 2013 second-round pick Janis Timma.

Nick Calathes is reportedly considering leaving the NBA so that he can go back to Europe, so the Grizzlies must have felt the need to add some depth at the point guard position. Ridnour will be buried on the bench behind Mike Conley and Beno Udrih, so he won't have more than a limited role with the Grizzlies. As for Timma, he isn't expected to come to the NBA any time soon, so the Grizzlies didn't give away too much.

Luke Ridnour isn't sure if he will continue his playing career next season.

His family has given him the OK to keep playing in the NBA, but he's not certain that's what he wants to do right now. "I'll take a couple months and pray about it," he said. Let's just say that Ridnour's retirement plans won't be high priority for fantasy owners this summer, but he has carved out a nice career since being drafted out of Oregon in 2003.

Luke Ridnour will not play on Monday due to personal reasons.

He wasn't in the rotation on Saturday, so the Magic won't miss him much. Victor Oladipo will get a handful of minutes as the point guard and will play a lot tonight.

Luke Ridnour will be active against the Raptors on Friday.

Elfrid Payton has looked a heck of a lot better and Victor Oladipo has been a fine ball-handler, so Ridnour isn't a complete lock for minutes. He's not worth owning in almost any league.

Luke Ridnour went through shootaround and he is likely to return to action for Friday's game vs. Toronto.

Ridnour missed the Magic's past three games due to the birth of his child, but he'll more than likely be back in uniform tonight. That being said, he's averaging a meager 4.0 points and 2.0 assists on the season through 14.5 minutes of action, so there's no reason to own him in almost any league.

Luke Ridnour will miss Tuesday's game due to the birth of his child.

Willie Green is also out with a hyper-extended knee, but the Magic at least get Evan Fournier (hip) back tonight. Fournier and Ben Gordon will hold down the backcourt with Orlando's second unit, but neither guy is likely to help fantasy owners while Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo are logging huge minutes.

Luke Ridnour (wife having baby) will not be available to play vs. the Bucks on Saturday.

This will be his second straight game away from the team but he should be back in time for Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls. However, Ridnour isn't a big part of the rotation and shouldn't have been owned in most leagues anyways. Elfrid Payton will be busy tonight.

Luke Ridnour (wife having baby) is not with the Magic on their current two-game road trip, and he will miss Friday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

We're going to consider him doubtful for Saturday's game against the Bucks as well, and with him unavailable, Elfrid Payton is going to get all the run he can handle. Payton gets a favorable matchup against the Timberwolves tonight, so he's someone to consider in daily leagues.

Luke Ridnour played 16 efficient minutes during Sunday's loss, scoring 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting with a pair of 3-pointers and three steals.

Willie Green and Evan Fournier were both out with injuries so Ridnour stepped into a larger-than-usual role, but he's simply not a fantasy asset while Elfrid Payton is healthy. Ridnour said recently that he may retire this summer after 12 seasons in the NBA.

Magic G Luke Ridnour may retire at the end of this season.

The 34-year-old Ridnour finds himself playing a very limited role behind Elfrid Payton for the rebuilding Magic, which may be part of his reluctance to return. His turnover rate has spiked while his usage rate and effective FG percentage have both plummeted this season, and there's zero incentive to own him in fantasy leagues.
