Dahntay Jones will sign with the Cavaliers on a non-guaranteed deal.
He has some fantastic per-game averages last year, but he only played in the season finale while the Cavs rested players. Assuming J.R. Smith signs, Jones would have to beat out some player for the 15th roster spot. Sep 22 - 7:45 PM

Cavs release G/F Dahntay Jones.

He's an NBA champion despite playing in one regular season game and a total of 50 minutes in the postseason -- mostly garbage time. Jones is going to be 36 in December, so his NBA career could be over, although the Cavs may bring him back for the veteran's minimum. If he does decide to call it quits, he'd join Sasha Kaun as another Cav going out on top.
Jul 30 - 5:34 PM

Dahntay Jones has been suspended one game for hitting Bismack Biyombo in the groin region during the closing minutes of Game 3.

Jones is a negligible part of the Cavs rotation, so his mandatory absence from Game 4 will have zero consequence in fantasy hoops.
May 22 - 6:56 PM

Newly-signed swingman Dahntay Jones logged 42 minutes for the Cavs on Wednesday, posting 13 points on 6-of-14 shooting, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal.

"I'm still the same defensive-minded individual I was many years ago," Jones said. "I had to adapt and make my niche throughout the league." He played some PG tonight and could earn a few minutes if Iman Shumpert's knee injury forces him to miss playoff games, but fantasy owners can safely ignore him.
Apr 13 - 11:47 PM

The Cavs have signed Dahntay Jones for the postseason, and he'll be available to play in Cleveland's regular-season finale Wednesday vs. the Pistons.

The Cavs will be resting Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, LeBron James and J.R. Smith on Wednesday night, and with Mo Williams (knee) and Iman Shumpert (knee) also set to miss Wednesday's game, Jones could be in the rotation tonight. Still, even with all those guys unavailable, it's unlikely that Jones will be able to make a meaningful impact on the box score.

Veteran Dahntay Jones has signed in the D-League.

He'll play with the Grand Rapids Drive, and is obviously not content to sit at home after failing to make Brooklyn's final roster.

Nets waive G/F Dahntay Jones.

The Nets are rebuilding, so having a veteran like Jones on the roster didn't make much sense even though he's from New Jersey.

The Nets and Dahntay Jones have agreed to a non-guaranteed contract, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Jones has familiarity with Lionel Hollins from their time together previously, and with the Nets' depth on the wing, it wouldn't be a total surprise to see the veteran actually make Brooklyn's final roster. Jones most recently spent time in the NBA with the Clippers last season.

Dahntay Jones has received interest from the Kings, Clippers and Knicks.

It'll be a for minimum deal. Jones didn't do much this season and his most newsworthy item of the season was bumping into Draymond Green during an interview. He's from New Jersey, so maybe that can actually help the Knicks sign someone.

Danhntay Jones has been fined by the NBA for his post-game bump of Draymond Green.

Jones bumped Green while he was giving him a post-game interview and will now have to pay $10,000 for his actions. While Jones can be left on the wire in all fantasy leagues, this incident will surely add some fire to a rivalry that has already been simmering since last year's playoffs.

The Clippers have signed Dahntay Jones to a contract that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

Through nine games with the Clippers, Jones has put up a total of four points, one steal, and one rebound. There's not a league where he should be owned.

Doc Rivers confirmed that the Clippers will sign Dahntay Jones to a second 10-day contract this week.

"He's been great for the young guys, for Austin [Rivers] and C.J. [Wilcox]," Rivers said. "He's a veteran. He's happy to be here. He has a toughness about him as well that I think will be good for us." The 34-year-old Jones is playing only six minutes per game with L.A. and doesn't have any fantasy value.

Clippers sign G/F Dahntay Jones to a 10-day contract.

Jones hasn't played in the NBA since 2012-13, when he averaged 3.4 points on 36.9 percent shooting with the Hawks and Mavericks. He's not worth fantasy owners' attention.

The Clippers are now expected to sign Dahntay Jones to a 10-day contract as opposed to Darius Miller.

While this has no fantasy implications outside of the deepest of leagues, we will continue to monitor this situation closely. Regardless of which player is signed, they can both remain on the waiver wire until further notice.

Jazz waive G/F Dahntay Jones.

He played 7.3 minutes per game over the last three contests and didn't have much of a chance to make the team. Jones might wind up on another team on a 10-day deal at some point.
