Leandro Barbosa had 11 points, five boards, a steal and three turnovers on 4-of-8 shooting in Brazil's 111-107 loss to Argentina.
Barbosa played just 21 minutes, and he should get comfortable with that allotment considering he's unlikely to see more than that on a regular basis with the Suns now that he's back in Phoenix. Aug 13 - 4:14 PM

Leandro Barbosa scored a team-high 16 points on 7-of-18 shooting Thursday, to go with three boards, four assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and two turnovers through 34 minutes of action.

Brazil lost to Croatia on Thursday, putting them in a 1-2 hole through the first three games of the Olympic tournament, which is good news for Team Spain's chances of advancing to the quarterfinals. Nene struggled with his shot during his 31 minutes on the court, going just 2-of-10 from the field and finishing the game with five points, two boards, two assists, three steals and two turnovers to his credit. Neither of these guys will be worth drafting in most leagues.

Leandro Barbosa scored 21 points off the bench during Brazil's 82-76 loss to Lithuania on Sunday, adding one rebound, two assists, two steals and two turnovers in 29 minutes of action.

Barbosa nearly helped Brazil overcome a 30-point deficit, scoring 17 of his 21 points during the third quarter, but ultimately Brazil fell short on their home floor. Barbosa will be returning to Phoenix this upcoming season, where he'll join a crowded backcourt featuring Devin Booker, Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and Archie Goodwin. He's not going to be a factor in most leagues.
Aug 7 - 3:22 PM

Leandro Barbosa has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal with the Suns.

The Suns already have Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and Archie Goodwin under guaranteed contracts, so Barbosa isn't likely to help many fantasy owners in 2016-17. The veteran will play for Brazil in the Olympics this season, and he'll enter training camp as little more than a backup combo-guard with 3-point range.
Jul 6 - 11:45 PM

Leandro Barbosa is playing for Brazil at the Olympics.

Slow news day in Golden State, right? Jokes aside, Barbosa and teammate Anderson Varejao will represent their country this summer as both try to generate interest around the NBA in their services.
Jul 4 - 12:27 PM

Leandro Barbosa scored 11 points with one rebound and one 3-pointer on 5-of-5 from the field against the Cavs on Thursday.

He tweaked his back in the first half and looked fine in the second. Barbosa hasn't really given the Warriors many good minutes with only four in the last two games of the Thunder series. He'll likely be looking at around 9-12 minutes per game with the Warriors looking to go smaller more often.
Jun 3 - 12:02 AM

Leandro Barbosa tweaked his back in the first half on Thursday and is expected to return.

He walked back to the locker room under his own power and didn't look to be in pain. If Barbosa is out, there may be a couple extra minutes for Shaun Livingston.
Jun 2 - 10:03 PM

Leandro Barbosa scored six points with one assist, one steal and one turnover in 13 minutes against the Rockets on Monday.

He didn't play as much as expected with Shaun Livingston playing wonderful ball tonight. Barbosa won't be a fantasy option.
Apr 19 - 1:43 AM

Leandro Barbosa scored nine points with one rebound and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday.

Garbage time was a factor here. There might be some extra run for Barbosa with Stephen Curry (ankle) questionable for Monday. Shaun Livingston is still the better option even though Barbosa may be more likely to start sans Curry.
Apr 16 - 7:08 PM

Leandro Barbosa will be rested vs. the Spurs on Sunday.

The veteran struggled in 14 scoreless minutes on Saturday and his absence shouldn't alter any fantasy lineups. He'll likely return for the Warriors' season finale on Wednesday.
Apr 10 - 4:56 PM

Leandro Barbosa may be rested on Sunday vs. the Spurs.

He didn't look great on Saturday vs. the Grizzlies so Steve Kerr probably wants to give him a night off. He finished scoreless with one turnover in 14 minutes on Saturday and is not a fantasy asset. Ian Clark could pick up some extra run vs. the Spurs.
Apr 9 - 10:49 PM

Leandro Barbosa (shoulder) played nine minutes vs. the Nuggets, scoring five points with two rebounds and one assist.

The veteran hit 1-of-3 shots with his lone make coming from downtown. He was a DNP-CD on Monday and doesn't have appeal in any leagues while the Warriors' backcourt is healthy.
Jan 14 - 1:04 AM

Leandro Barbosa (shoulder) will play on Wednesday against the Nuggets.

He was a DNP-CD on Monday and has very little value in fantasy. Barbosa may play more on Thursday if Shaun Livingston is rested.
Jan 13 - 7:43 PM

Leandro Barbosa (shoulder) picked up a DNP-CD on Monday vs. the Heat.

He hasn't played since Christmas, but he was available to play in this one. The Warriors will likely roll with Shaun Livingston and Ian Clark as their backup guards, so Barbosa is not worth owning in most leagues. We're taking him off the injury report.
Jan 12 - 12:57 AM

Leandro Barbosa (shoulder) is active for Monday against the Heat.

He is not a complete lock to get in the rotation with Brandon Rush expected to start and Shaun Livingston likely to get most of the backup point guard minutes. Barbosa isn't a fantasy option.
