Leandro Barbosa played through an illness on Tuesday and hit 4-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points and an assist in 18 minutes.
He missed Sunday's game with the illness and while he played fairly well tonight, he only gets around 15-18 minutes a night, which aren't enough to make him fantasy-worthy. Mar 21 - 11:09 PM

Coach Earl Watson said Leandro Barbosa (illness) is likely to play Tuesday vs. the Heat.

Barbosa was upgraded to probable earlier in the day, so it certainly appears he is on track to return after missing the Suns previous two contests. Devin Booker (right ankle) is also expected to play, so Barbosa will likely log his usual 12-15 minutes.

Leandro Barbosa (illness) has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Heat.

The Suns are badly in need of healthy backcourt bodies and it appears they will get both Barbosa and Devin Booker (ankle) back on Tuesday night. Derrick Jones, Jared Dudley and Jarell Eddie will see their minutes reduced with Barbosa and Booker back in the mix.
Mar 21 - 12:44 PM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) participated in the Suns' walk-through on Tuesday morning.

Barbosa has missed each of Pheonix's last two games. As of yesterday, he was listed as questionable in the game notes and we don't know if his odds of playing have increased. Devin Booker (ankle) is now probable, so the Suns will likely have at least one healthy shooting guard active on Tuesday.
Mar 21 - 11:37 AM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) is questionable to play Tuesday vs. Miami.

Devin Booker (ankle) and Ronnie Price (leg) are also questionable, and if none of these guys can give it a go on Tuesday night, Tyler Ulis and T.J. Warren will be forced into heavy minutes. Barbosa is not worth a roster spot in any scenario.
Mar 20 - 4:57 PM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) will not play against the Pistons on Sunday.

That makes it 2.5 games for Barbosa with this illness. If Devin Booker (ankle) can't go, the only natural shooting guard the team will have will be newly-signed Jarell Eddie. Barbosa can remain on the wire in most leagues.
Mar 19 - 1:59 PM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) will not play on Friday vs. the Magic.

Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight will not play again this season, so with Barbosa out, Ronnie Price will likely see a handful of minutes off the bench behind Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker.
Mar 17 - 9:23 PM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) is a game-time call on Friday vs. the Magic.

With Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight shut down for the season, Barbosa will get a small bump in minutes off the bench behind Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker. Ulis and Booker are the only guards you want to own in Phoenix, so leave Barbosa on the wire.
Mar 17 - 8:46 PM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) is listed as doubtful in the game notes for Friday against the Magic.

If Barbosa can't go and Brandon Knight (back) doesn't play for whatever reason, the Suns should have to give big minutes to Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker. We should see some Ronnie Price and maybe T.J. Warren plays some two -- he did play a little shooting guard earlier in the season. Ulis needs to be owned everywhere. Daily Slant: With Bledsoe, Knight, Chandler and Barbosa off the floor this year, Devin Booker leads the Suns in usage at 39.4%, along with a healthy 1.12 FPPM mark, making him a core target industry wide. Tyler Ulis should also command big minutes this evening, and he carries an ample 21.3% usage rate and 0.85 FPPM mark, and both of those figures are likely to rise with the Suns looking towards the future. Both Booker and Ulis should push for 40 minutes of court time on Friday.
Mar 17 - 3:32 PM

Leandro Barbosa (illness) will not return on Wednesday night.

With Eric Bledsoe resting and Brandon Knight (back) out, it'll be Ronnie Price backing up Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker. Barbosa finished with four points, two rebounds and one assist.
Mar 15 - 11:24 PM

Leandro Barbosa scored 16 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes against the Hornets on Thursday.

The Suns wanted to find out if Tyler Ulis is better with an off-ball guy or a ball-dominant guy. Well, it looks like they found their answer. Maybe Barbosa loses some minutes to Brandon Knight at some point, but the Ulis-Barbosa duo was big time tonight. Just keep an eye on LB in deep leagues.
Mar 3 - 12:38 AM

Coach Earl Watson said Leandro Barbosa has played next to Tyler Ulis lately to see if Ulis is better with an off-ball guard next to him.

Additionally, Watson said he does want to get an idea if Ulis can play well with a ball-dominant guy like Brandon Knight. In other words, it sounds like there could be a chance we see Knight get in the rotation and Barbosa move out at some point. Regardless, it's clearly Ulis ahead of both LB and Knight, so Barbosa isn't worth owning in almost all leagues.
Mar 2 - 3:10 PM

Leandro Barbosa scored eight points with three rebounds, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes against the Bulls on Friday.

The Suns are going with a youth movement, so Barbosa is likely going to get some nights off. Plus, the Suns will probably want to play Brandon Knight at some point to do something about his bottomed-out trade value. There's no need to add Barbosa anywhere.
Feb 25 - 12:37 AM

Leandro Barbosa (knee) did not score in 12 minutes against the 76ers with one rebound and one assist.

His minutes are starting to drop with coach Earl Watson leaning heavily on his starters. Barbosa's little uptick looks to be over.
Sat, Dec 24, 2016 12:19:00 AM

Leandro Barbosa (right knee tendinitis) is available on Friday vs. the 76ers.

Barbosa is averaging 13.0 minutes per game over his last five and that's unlikely to change with Phoenix at full strength.
