Leandro Barbosa (knee) did not score in 12 minutes against the 76ers with one rebound and one assist.
His minutes are starting to drop with coach Earl Watson leaning heavily on his starters. Barbosa's little uptick looks to be over. Sat, Dec 24, 2016 12:19:00 AM

Leandro Barbosa (right knee tendinitis) is available on Friday vs. the 76ers.

Barbosa is averaging 13.0 minutes per game over his last five and that's unlikely to change with Phoenix at full strength.

Leandro Barbosa (right knee tendinitis) is listed as questionable in the game notes for Friday against the 76ers.

Perhaps this is why his minutes have dropped. He's seen his playing time decrease in four of his last five games, averaging 13.0 per game with only six minutes coming on Wednesday. If he's out, that'll help Brandon Knight (thigh), assuming he's healthy.

Leandro Barbosa stayed hot in 33 minutes on Sunday, making 8-of-14 shots to finish with 18 points, three rebounds and a pair of 3-pointers.

The wily veteran has scored double-digit points in four straight contests, and he was coming off a 21-point game vs. the Lakers on Friday. He outplayed Brandon Knight (seven points in 16 minutes) and has made Tyler Ulis (two minutes) an afterthought, but it's anyone's guess how long he'll maintain such a robust role. With the Suns in a rebuilding season, Barbosa is a dubious source of rest-of-season value.

Leandro Barbosa scored a season-high 21 points off the bench on Friday vs. the Lakers, adding four assists, two rebounds, two steals and five triples in 29 minutes.

Where did that come from? Barbosa finished 8-of-16 from the field and didn't turn the ball over once. The 34-year-old veteran was averaging 5.5 points per game prior to Friday, so we'll chalk this up as a fluke. Leave him on the wire.

Leandro Barbosa scored 13 points with one rebound, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

The Suns had one of their best stretches of the season and it came with their second unit. Barbosa has been inconsistent with his minutes this season and he may even be the fifth guard now that Tyler Ulis is turning some heads. He's not worth owning in most leagues, but keep an eye on him on Saturday in case Devin Booker (ankle) is out.

Leandro Barbosa had 11 points, five boards, a steal and three turnovers on 4-of-8 shooting in Brazil's 111-107 loss to Argentina.

Barbosa played just 21 minutes, and he should get comfortable with that allotment considering he's unlikely to see more than that on a regular basis with the Suns now that he's back in Phoenix.

Leandro Barbosa scored a team-high 16 points on 7-of-18 shooting Thursday, to go with three boards, four assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and two turnovers through 34 minutes of action.

Brazil lost to Croatia on Thursday, putting them in a 1-2 hole through the first three games of the Olympic tournament, which is good news for Team Spain's chances of advancing to the quarterfinals. Nene struggled with his shot during his 31 minutes on the court, going just 2-of-10 from the field and finishing the game with five points, two boards, two assists, three steals and two turnovers to his credit. Neither of these guys will be worth drafting in most leagues.

Leandro Barbosa scored 21 points off the bench during Brazil's 82-76 loss to Lithuania on Sunday, adding one rebound, two assists, two steals and two turnovers in 29 minutes of action.

Barbosa nearly helped Brazil overcome a 30-point deficit, scoring 17 of his 21 points during the third quarter, but ultimately Brazil fell short on their home floor. Barbosa will be returning to Phoenix this upcoming season, where he'll join a crowded backcourt featuring Devin Booker, Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and Archie Goodwin. He's not going to be a factor in most leagues.

Leandro Barbosa has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal with the Suns.

The Suns already have Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and Archie Goodwin under guaranteed contracts, so Barbosa isn't likely to help many fantasy owners in 2016-17. The veteran will play for Brazil in the Olympics this season, and he'll enter training camp as little more than a backup combo-guard with 3-point range.

Leandro Barbosa is playing for Brazil at the Olympics.

Slow news day in Golden State, right? Jokes aside, Barbosa and teammate Anderson Varejao will represent their country this summer as both try to generate interest around the NBA in their services.

Leandro Barbosa scored 11 points with one rebound and one 3-pointer on 5-of-5 from the field against the Cavs on Thursday.

He tweaked his back in the first half and looked fine in the second. Barbosa hasn't really given the Warriors many good minutes with only four in the last two games of the Thunder series. He'll likely be looking at around 9-12 minutes per game with the Warriors looking to go smaller more often.

Leandro Barbosa tweaked his back in the first half on Thursday and is expected to return.

He walked back to the locker room under his own power and didn't look to be in pain. If Barbosa is out, there may be a couple extra minutes for Shaun Livingston.

Leandro Barbosa scored six points with one assist, one steal and one turnover in 13 minutes against the Rockets on Monday.

He didn't play as much as expected with Shaun Livingston playing wonderful ball tonight. Barbosa won't be a fantasy option.
Tue, Apr 19, 2016 01:43:00 AM

Leandro Barbosa scored nine points with one rebound and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday.

Garbage time was a factor here. There might be some extra run for Barbosa with Stephen Curry (ankle) questionable for Monday. Shaun Livingston is still the better option even though Barbosa may be more likely to start sans Curry.
