Keith Bogans struggled to do much during his 15 minutes of action on Sunday, finishing with just two rebounds, one assist and four fouls while missing both of his shot attempts.
This was Bogans first "game" action since Jan. 7, 2014 and the 35-year-old certainly looked rusty. The last time Bogans played in Summer League was 2003, but now he's trying to prove he still has something left in the tank to earn one final NBA contract. Perhaps he signs a minimum-level deal somewhere, but he's not going to have any fantasy value. Jul 13 - 1:32 AM

Keith Bogans is playing for the Trail Blazers' Summer League team in the hopes that he can land another NBA contract.

"My goal is just to be around the game," said Bogans, who is 36 years old. "I can still play the game. Still in shape ... I know it would be more of a coach/player type role." Bogans' 2013-14 season ended on a downbeat (he was exiled from the Celtics and eventually waived by the 76ers) but it's conceivable that some team will sign him as a veteran presence in the locker room.

76ers waive G/F Keith Bogans.

Bogans was a throw-in during a trade with the Cavaliers, who acquired him from the Celtics this season, and he was never expected to make Philly's regular-season roster. The 11-year NBA veteran had a falling out with the Celtics last season and it's debatable whether he can earn another guaranteed contract.

The Cavs traded Keith Bogans and a future second-round pick to the Sixers on Saturday.

For the second time in three days, Bogans has been traded and it has nothing to do with actual basketball. The move creates a $5.3 million trade exception, and Bogans is unlikely to make an impact with the 76ers despite their lack of depth on the wing.

The Cavs acquired Keith Bogans from the Celtics in exchange for Erik Murphy, Malcom Thomas and John Lucas III.

This move has almost nothing to do with basketball. The Celtics needed to get guaranteed contracts off their roster to make room for Evan Turner while the Cavs were never going to keep their three players in this deal, which came over in a trade with the Jazz. In addition to Brendan Haywood, the Cavs have over $16 million in unguaranteed money for next offseason in those two deals.

Keith Bogans' future with the Celtics remains in doubt, and they're reportedly hoping to use his expiring contract in a trade.

Bogans hasn't been with the team since February, when he was excused indefinitely following a rift with the team. He was upset about not playing enough, but it's questionable whether he'd be able to crack an NBA rotation at this point in his career. He's not a fantasy factor regardless of where he spends the 2014-15 season.

The Celtics announced on Tuesday Keith Bogans has been excused for an indefinite amount of time.

He missed practice today and it sounds like this could be for a while. Bogans will remain under contract with the Celtics, but he might not even see the court again with Boston.

Keith Bogans missed the Celtics' practice on Tuesday for personal reasons.

He was excused by the team and it's unclear when he'll return. Bogans recently complained about his lack of playing time but he was unable to sway coach Brad Stevens, who handed him another DNP-CD on Monday.

Keith Bogans isn't happy about his lack of playing time off the Celtics' bench, saying, "I had no idea that I would be in this position. [My expectations were] that I would play."

The veteran G/F hasn't appeared in a game in December and it's hard to see why the Celtics would play him ahead of guys like Jordan Crawford, Avery Bradley or Courtney Lee, when even MarShon Brooks has been assigned to the D-League. Bogans will have to console himself with the $5.1 million he'll make this season, a salary he was gifted to facilitate the Celtics' trade which sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to Brooklyn.

Keith Bogans returned from his illness to practice with the Celtics on Tuesday.

We'll take him off the injury report, but this doesn't mean that he'll actually play in Wednesday's game -- the veteran has yet to score a single point in two brief appearances this season.

Keith Bogans will not play against the Pacers on Friday.

He's played a total of 15 minutes this season with 12 of them coming in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Rockets. Bogans doesn't have any fantasy value.

Keith Bogans (illness) will not play on Wednesday.

He played 12 minutes in garbage time on Tuesday and isn't really in the rotation to begin with. Bogans has no fantasy value.

Keith Bogans returned to action on Tuesday from an illness but played just 12 minutes and didn't score.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where he gets enough playing time for the Celtics to have value in any league.
Wed, Nov 20, 2013 01:44:00 AM

Keith Bogans (illness) will be available for Tuesday's game in Houston.

His availability doesn't mean that he'll actually play, and has no impact in fantasy leagues.
Tue, Nov 19, 2013 05:29:00 PM

Keith Bogans (illness) will not play against the Wolves on Saturday.

He's logged a grand total of three minutes on the season, so Bogans is not exactly an integral part of Boston's rotation.
