Spurs sign F/C Matt Bonner.
It's reportedly at the minimum and it would be hard to imagine him in any other uniform. Bonner has been with the Spurs since 2006, but his minutes dropped to a career-low 11.3 minutes per game last season. Jul 21 - 1:15 PM

Matt Bonner has reportedly agreed to re-sign with the Spurs on a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum.

Spurs beat writer Mike Monroe has confirmed an initial report by Ben Hunt, and fan-favorite Bonner will remain with San Antonio for at least the 2014-15 season. His deadly 3-point shooting gives Gregg Popovich a unique weapon off the bench, but Bonner doesn't have a big enough role to warrant owning in fantasy leagues.
Jul 13 - 5:24 PM

Updating a previous item, Matt Bonner will start for the second consecutive game on Saturday.

Welcome to the Gregg Popovich lineup carousel. Tiago Splitter was listed as a starter, but Pop pulled a fast one, which is nothing new. Boris Diaw started the second half in Game 5 and figures to be a factor yet again.
May 31 - 8:22 PM

Matt Bonner will start in place of Tiago Splitter on Thursday night for Game 5.

He played just 16 minutes in Games 1, 2 and 3, but then played 16 minutes in Game 4 due to garbage time. Bonner is being brought in to space the floor with his 3-point shooting. He shot 42.9 percent from deep in the regular season and the Thunder will probably just stick Kendrick Perkins on him.
May 29 - 8:44 PM

Matt Bonner will not play against the Suns on Friday due to food poisoning.

He probably would have received some minutes with Tim Duncan out, but the Spurs will be without the Red Rocket. Bonner has no fantasy value.
Apr 11 - 6:53 PM

Matt Bonner (strained right calf) returned from an eight-game absence on Sunday, going scoreless with one rebound and one assist in 12 minutes off the bench.

Bonner is shooting 41.8 percent from downtown this season, just above his career average, but with only 11 minutes per game he doesn't get enough shot attempts to help fantasy owners.
Apr 6 - 10:37 PM

Matt Bonner (calf) is active for Sunday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

He might not even play because the Spurs don't have more room to put guys on the inactive list, but he's probably getting closer. Bonner has no fantasy value.
Apr 6 - 6:02 PM

Matt Bonner (calf) will not play against the Warriors in Wednesday.

He is expected to be out for another week or so and the Spurs won't be counting on him much upon his return. Bonner is fun to watch, but he doesn't have fantasy value.
Apr 2 - 3:59 PM

Matt Bonner (calf) will miss approximately two weeks with a calf strain.

An MRI confirmed a right calf strain for Bonner and the Spurs will be without the sharpshooter for the next two weeks. With only 12 games left on the Spurs' schedule, there is a chance that this is the last we've seen of him for the regular season. Bonner is only averaging 7.9 minutes per game during March, so his absence shouldn't create a void on any fantasy rosters.
Mar 25 - 1:37 PM

Matt Bonner (calf) will not play against the Sixers on Monday.

The Spurs are 20-point favorites tonight and the loss of Bonner probably won't be moving the line in Las Vegas here. He can be ignored in all leagues.
Mar 24 - 6:59 PM

Matt Bonner will not play against the Warriors due to a right calf strain.

He had a calf issue back in November and the Spurs might not just be resting him here. Regardless, Bonner's value in the NBA doesn't reside in the realm of fantasy.
Mar 22 - 9:27 PM

Matt Bonner (nose) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

"By tomorrow, I'll either have a new mask or a new face," Bonner said on Monday. He's one of the easiest players to root for and his unconventional shot is a great microcosm of his character. While we like watching Bonner on the court for his terrific range and how the red-headed big man in a mask should be a great sight, he doesn't have much fantasy value.
Jan 20 - 6:17 PM

Matt Bonner will not play on Sunday due to his nasal fracture.

He is going to wear a mask upon his return to the lineup, but the Spurs will hold him out for now. He's not worth using in almost any fantasy format even with Tiago Splitter out with a shoulder injury.
Jan 19 - 5:32 PM

Matt Bonner (broken nose) will have to wear a mask to play for next four weeks, and it's possible he will need surgery in the offseason.

"The Red Mamba" has no fantasy relevance as he's currently averaging 3.3 points and 1.6 rebounds on the season, but it may be amusing to watch him play with a protective mask.
Jan 19 - 10:53 AM

Matt Bonner suffered a broken nose against the Blazers on Friday and will not return.

He caught Thomas Robinson's head in the face and it's unknown if Bonner was rattled enough to be tested for a concussion. He finished with no points and three boards in six minutes. Bonner might be sporting a mask when he's able to return, which seems like must-see TV.
