Matt Bonner is hoping to play one more season in the NBA.
The 36-year-old has yet to receive a training camp invite, but is hoping for one last shot in the NBA. "I’m going to fight to get into the league," Bonner said. "I’m going to fight to play one more year." While Bonner could help an NBA team as a veteran shooter off the bench, he won't have any fantasy value even if he signs somewhere. Matt Bonner acknowledged during a recent interview that it's unlikely he'll be wearing a Spurs jersey this upcoming season.

"Currently they haven't signed me," said Bonner. "Unless something changes going into the season, I'm probably not going to be with the Spurs." Bonner added that he's hopeful his agent can soon find him another NBA contract, but at 36 years old, his playing days in the NBA may be numbered. The Red Mamba may be a fan favorite amongst Spurs fans, but his fantasy value is non-existent.

Matt Bonner said he is hopeful to remain with the Spurs next year.

He says he's planning to play as long as he can. Bonner played a career-low 30 regular season games along with just 6.9 minutes per game last season. He is a free agent and likely won't get anything more than a minimum deal.

Matt Bonner made his second start of the season on Wednesday, scoring six points on 2-of-6 shooting with two 3-pointers, one rebound and one assist.

Bonner played limited minutes in 30 appearances this season, as the arrival of LaMarcus Aldridge and David West made it less important to have Bonner spreading the court. He'll earn situational minutes as a 3-point specialist in the postseason.

Matt Bonner (calf) is not on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

Bonner was available to play on Wednesday, but didn't actually step foot on the court. It looks like he's over his calf injury, but Bonner isn't going to be a meaningful part of the rotation in San Antonio with all the other bigs healthy.

Matt Bonner (calf) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Pistons.

He'll be available, but there are no guarantees he steps foot on the court tonight with all the bigs in San Antonio healthy. The Red Mamba is not a fantasy option in any league.

Matt Bonner (calf) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.

Bonner went through a full practice on Tuesday, so he'll likely be available to play on Wednesday. However, Bonner is rarely a meaningful part of the rotation in San Antonio, and he can safely remain on the waiver wire in all settings regardless of his playing status.

Matt Bonner (calf) made it through practice on Tuesday.

He's averaging 5.7 minutes per game this season and your fantasy team probably isn't doing well if he's on your roster. Leave him on the wire.
