Udonis Haslem has been working on his 3-point shot in order to earn some minutes at power forward this season.
Good luck. The 35-year-old veteran has shot just 2-of-23 from 3-point range over the course of his career, so he clearly has a lot of work to do. Haslem will likely be the sixth big on the depth chart unless Chris Andersen is traded, so he won't be a factor in fantasy leagues. Aug 30 - 11:34 AM

Udonis Haslem said that he hopes to play for 3-4 more seasons.

"I feel fine. I feel like I could go three or four more years depending on how Coach might need to use me or what the situation might be," said Haslem. "When I was needed to go out there and play big minutes, I was able to put up some pretty decent numbers. If these guys need me, I’ve gotta make sure I stay ready." Haslem will begin the year playing behind Chris Bosh, Josh McRoberts, and Chris Anderson in Miami, so unless the Heat are again devastated by injuries next season, he can be ignored in most fantasy leagues.
Jul 22 - 10:41 AM

Udonis Haslem said in a recent interview that Kevin Garnett is a fake tough guy.

Speaking with Adam Kuperstein of WQAM Miami, Haslam said he calls fake tough guys "studio." When asked if Kevin Garnett is studio, Haslem replied, "Fo sho. He wouldn't throw rice at a wedding." While this comment would've been more fun when both players weren't at the end of their careers, it could make for some interesting moments when the Heat play the Timberwolves this season.
Jul 14 - 9:29 AM

Udonis Haslem said he's been working on adding a 3-point shot to his game this summer.

That's nice, but after averaging 4.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game last season, he has no business being targeted in standard fantasy leagues.
Jul 7 - 3:29 PM

Udonis Haslem played all seven of his minutes on Wednesday during the first half, finishing with two rebounds.

He was the only player on the bench to get minutes. In fact, he didn't take a shot or turn the ball over or shoot at all. That means the Miami bench combined for zero points on a 0.0 usage rate. Those are both record lows. At least Haslem was part of history.
Apr 15 - 11:07 PM

Udonis Haslem scored two points with four rebounds, one assist and one block in 18 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday.

He had a couple bright spots against Pau Gasol to start the game, but he was just overmatched against a big Chicago front line. Haslem is not going to have much value in fantasy when Hassan Whiteside and Chris Andersen are active.
Apr 9 - 10:47 PM

Udonis Haslem (illness) will start at power forward for Tuesday's game vs. the Hornets.

Haslem is playing out of necessity for Miami with essentially zero depth behind him. However, he doesn't do a lot aside from rebound, so he can't be viewed as a viable option in standard leagues.
Apr 7 - 7:02 PM

Udonis Haslem (illness) is probable for Tuesday against the Hornets.

Haslem had been dealing with the flu, but he is expected to once again play at less than 100 percent for the severely banged-up Heat.
Apr 6 - 1:54 PM

Udonis Haslem (illness) will rejoin the starting lineup on Saturday vs. the Pistons, sending Henry Walker back to the bench.

Haslem missed the past two games with a brutal illness so he may not be 100 percent tonight. Regardless, Haslem is averaging just 4.1 points and 4.0 boards this season, so he belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues. Walker made some noise recently when the Heat were desperate for bodies, but it looks like he can be cut loose in most leagues now.
Apr 4 - 6:57 PM

Udonis Haslem (illness) is expected to play vs. the Pistons on Saturday.

He was in pretty rough shape for the past few days so he probably won't be 100 percent tonight. However, as long as Hassan Whiteside and Chris Andersen are active, Haslem belongs on the wire in just about all leagues.
Apr 4 - 11:59 AM

Udonis Haslem (illness) is questionable to play against the Pistons on Saturday.

He couldn't play on Thursday and wasn't able to eat for at least three days. If he can't play, the Heat will use Luol Deng at power forward a ton while James Ennis gets a big increase in minutes. Haslem isn't worth owning while Hassan Whiteside and Chris Andersen are active.
Apr 3 - 4:45 PM

Updating a previous report, Udonis Haslem (illness) will not suit up for Thursday's game vs. Cleveland.

Haslem said he's been unable to eat for the past three days, so we'll be considering him questionable for Saturday's game vs. Detroit, as well as Sunday's game vs. Indiana. With Haslem unavailable, look for Chris Andersen and Hassan Whiteside to get all the run they can handle, with Andersen the likely starter for tonight.
Apr 2 - 6:48 PM

Udonis Haslem (illness) is likely headed for a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup with the Cavs.

Haslem is currently in the building, but head coach Erik Spoelstra would not say whether or not he would play. If he's forced to sit, expect Chris Andersen and Hassan Whiteside to get all the run they can handle, with one-armed Whiteside offering the most upside.
Apr 2 - 6:39 PM

Udonis Haslem (illness) was not present at shootaround on Thursday.

Haslem was able to travel with the team to Cleveland, but it's looking like he may not be available for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers. Whether he plays on Thursday or not, Haslem can be safely left on waivers in standards fantasy leagues now that Hassan Whiteside is healthy,
Apr 2 - 11:31 AM

Udonis Haslem (illness) is traveling to Cleveland for Thursday's game.

It's still unclear if Haslem will give it a go after missing Tuesday. With Hassan Whiteside back in action, it's harder to trust Haslem in most leagues.
