Charcandrick West rushed one time for -1 yards in the Chiefs' Divisional Round loss to the Steelers.
He caught two balls for 14 yards, with one coming on a swing pass in the red zone to help set up Spencer Ware's fourth-quarter touchdown. West made a few spot starts this season in place of an injured Ware, but he didn't top 58 yards rushing in any of the four, finishing the year with 89 carries for 292 yards (3.3 YPC) and one touchdown. West is signed through 2018 but isn't a threat to play much of an increased role next season and could even lose some work. Jan 16 - 12:08 AM

Charcandrick West rushed 16 times for 58 yards and caught all five of his targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns Week 17 against the Chargers.

With Spencer Ware out, West dominated the backfield work and looked explosive. He had two catches for 46 yards on the first two drives, and he caught short two touchdown passes on almost identical plays near the goal line. Ware will certainly be back after the bye, but West played well enough to earn a bigger role.

With Spencer Ware (ribs) out, Charcandrick West is set to start Week 17 against the Chargers.

Knile Davis could also see some snaps, but West should get the lion's share of the work. West is a great option for teams in need of a Ware replacement.
Jan 1 - 2:57 PM

Charcandrick West rushed 14 times for 35 yards in the Chiefs' Week 16 win over the Broncos.

West out-carried Spencer Ware 14-13, but that's due to Ware missing critical clock-killing work late in the fourth quarter due to a ribs injury. Ware will have an MRI on Monday. If he's forced to sit out Week 17's tilt with the Chargers, West will be a volume-dependent RB2. He's averaging 3.3 YPC this year.

Charcandrick West rushed twice for two yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' Week 14 win over the Raiders.

West's score was a pure vulturing of Spencer Ware. Ware out-snapped West 40-13, but saw his slump deepen on the ground. It's possible coach Andy Reid gets West more involved for Week 15. Even if that's the case, West won't be a viable FLEX option.

Charcandrick West touched the ball once in Kansas City's Week 13 win over the Falcons.

He was held without a gain on his lone rush. One week after cutting into Spencer Ware's snaps, Pro Football Focus charted Ware as being on the field for 37 plays to West's 12. West has no standalone value.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Charcandrick West played more snaps in Week 12 because he was "feeling better."

West played 33-of-85 snaps against the Broncos, just seven fewer than Spencer Ware. He still lost the touch war 19-3. West remains nothing more than a handcuff.

Charcandrick West had three carries for eight yards in Week 12 against the Broncos.

West had a minor role despite playing almost the same snaps as Spencer Ware. He wasn't a factor in the pass game, failing to catch his only target. West will remain just a change of pace in Week 13.

Charcandrick West (concussion) practiced again on Friday.

It appears he's on track to handle change-of-pace back duties in Denver.

Charcandrick West (concussion) was officially "full" in Thursday's practice.

This puts West on track to suit up against the Broncos. He should see 4-6 touches as a change of pace behind Spencer Ware.

Charcandrick West (concussion) returned to practice Thursday.

West is certainly still in the protocol, but this is a step in the right direction. He is still at best questionable for Week 12 against the Broncos. West will be nothing but Spencer Ware's caddie even if he plays.

Charcandrick West (concussion) is not practicing Wednesday.

He's in the league's concussion protocol. If West sits against the Broncos, it raises the floor of Spencer Ware in a plus spot against a Denver defense allowing 5.02 YPC and the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs over its past four games. Ware is firmly on the RB1 radar this week.

Charcandrick West entered the NFL's concussion protocol following the Chiefs' Week 11 loss to the Bucs.

He finished with three catches for 42 yards, handling just the three touches compared to Spencer Ware's 19. West will be in a race to get cleared for the Chiefs' Week 12 date with the Broncos. If he can't play, the Chiefs would likely turn to Knile Davis as their No. 2 back behind Ware.

Charcandrick West rushed two times for five yards in the Chiefs' Week 10 win over the Panthers.

He added three catches for five more yards. With Spencer Ware back from his concussion, West was relegated back to pure backup duties. He's not worth holding onto with Ware dominating backfield snaps.
Sun, Nov 13, 2016 04:54:00 PM

Charcandrick West totaled 39 yards on 13 carries and secured three-of-four targets for 35 yards Sunday in the Chiefs' Week 9 win over the Jaguars.

Owned everywhere in DFS, West laid a big egg in his first start of the season. He spent most of the afternoon running into brick walls, though he did break loose for 25 yards on a third-quarter catch-and-run. West out-touched backup Knile Davis 16-4 and should still see the bulk of Kansas City’s rushing work if he draws another start next week against the Panthers. He’ll be irrelevant again when Spencer Ware returns from his concussion.
