Taylor Gabriel caught 5-of-6 targets for 44 yards in the Falcons' Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.
The targets were Gabriel's most of the season, though he's now drawn at least five in four straight games. Gabriel was tackled at the Chiefs' one in the fourth quarter, coming inches within his sixth touchdown of the season. Gabriel is a huge-play threat, but it's not translating to WR3 value in fantasy leagues. Dec 4 - 6:07 PM

Matt Ryan heaped praise on Taylor Gabriel Tuesday during a radio interview with WCNN 680.

"He's been great for us this year. He's done everything we've asked from him," said Ryan, who went on to call Gabriel a "sparkplug." The former Browns castoff has blown up for 271 yards and four touchdowns over his last four games. With that said, Gabriel hasn't seen more than five targets in a game this season and has been relying heavily on big plays. With playoff spots on the line this week in fantasy, he'll merely be a WR4 against Kansas City.

Taylor Gabriel caught 4-of-5 targets for 75 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' 38-19, Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

He added a 27-yard run. With Julio Jones being locked down by Patrick Peterson to the tune of just four catches for 35 yards on seven targets, OC Kyle Shanahan had to scheme other ways to beat this Arizona defense. The answer was getting the ball in Gabriel's hands on screen passes. Both of his touchdowns (35 and 25 yards) were on screens to the left that allowed Gabriel to use his blazing speed and quick-twitch agility to miss tackles and find the end zone. Gabriel's volume is unreliable, but he's had several big plays for this high-flying offense. He's tough to sell as any more than a WR4 for Week 13 against the Chiefs.

Taylor Gabriel caught 1-of-5 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown Week 10 against the Eagles

Gabriel got wide open on a double move in the fourth quarter, and Matt Ryan hit him for a 76-yard score. The touchdown briefly gave Atlanta a lead, but the Eagles quickly answered with a touchdown of their own to seal the win. Gabriel has 13 targets the last three games and appears to be carving out a role. Even so, he is not worth adding except in the deepest of leagues.
Nov 13 - 5:35 PM

Taylor Gabriel absorbed all five of his targets for 52 yards and rushed twice for 24 yards and a touchdown Thursday in the Falcons' Week 9 win over the Buccaneers.

It’s the second week in a row we've deemed Gabriel's performance as blurb-worthy, which means the former Brown must be doing something right. He was targeted a season-high five times and scored the first rushing touchdown of his career on a nine-yard reverse late in the second quarter. Gabriel has quickly emerged as the Falcons’ No. 3 receiving option. That role probably won’t carry much fantasy significance, but Gabriel has definitely been a worthy flyer for the Falcons.
Nov 4 - 12:35 AM

Taylor Gabriel earned three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown on three targets Sunday in the Falcons' Week 8 win over the Packers.

Gabriel scored the game’s first touchdown on a nifty 47-yard catch with 4:28 left in the first quarter. The touchdown was Gabriel’s first of the season and only the second of his career. He was only targeted two more times but still finished second on the team in yards behind Mohamed Sanu (84). Gabriel will be well off the fantasy radar next time out against Tampa Bay.
Oct 30 - 8:53 PM

Falcons declared WR Taylor Gabriel, WR C.J. Goodwin, Taylor Gabriel, S Sharrod Neasman, LB A.J. Hawk, OG Mike Person, OG Wes Schweitzer and TE Joshua Perkins inactive for Week 7 against the Chargers.

It's a quiet list for a healthy team. Gabriel is week to week with a concussion.

Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel is week to week with a concussion.

Gabriel went down in sickening fashion late in the first half of Atlanta's Week 6 game against the Seahawks. The role player went into the "fencing response," a tell-tale concussion sign.
Oct 16 - 6:12 PM

Falcons claimed WR Taylor Gabriel off waivers from the Browns.

Gabriel caught 64 passes across two years for the Browns. His arrival could be bad news for sophomore WR Justin Hardy.
Sep 4 - 12:52 PM

Browns waived WRs Taylor Gabriel and Marlon Moore.

Once considered an undrafted free agent "gem" by ex-GM Ray Farmer, Gabriel flamed out as soon as the Browns changed regimes. The analytics-minded Browns front office will move forward with higher-ceiling options at wide receiver.
Sep 3 - 1:30 PM

Taylor Gabriel was knocked out of Week 17 against the Steelers with an eye injury.

Gabriel was ruled out after being poked in the eye in the first half. The diminutive deep threat finishes the year with 28 receptions for 241 yards and zero touchdowns. Gabriel is a fine back-of-the-roster guy, but the number of snaps he has played the last two seasons clearly illustrates the issues Cleveland has faced finding playmakers. This wide receiver corps needs an infusion of talent this offseason. Luckily, Josh Gordon could be reinstated as early as February.
Jan 3 - 2:00 PM

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) will return for Week 15.

Gabriel sat out the past three games. His health has taken on increased importance with Brian Hartline (collarbone) done for the season. Gabriel will be third in line for targets behind Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin, but won't be a fantasy option in Seattle.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) returned to practice on Thursday.

So did Travis Benjamin (shoulder). Gabriel hasn't played since suffering a concussion in Week 10. If he suits up this week, he'll slot in as the No. 3 receiver behind Benjamin and Brian Hartline.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 13.

Browns players have had a really hard time passing concussion protocol this season. With Andrew Hawkins (concussion) also ruled out against the Bengals, Brian Hartline is a sneaky deep-league fantasy play this week. Hartline has drawn 31 targets over Cleveland's last three games.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) has not practiced this week.

The situational player is looking doubtful for Monday night's game.
