Taylor Gabriel caught 2-of-3 targets for 14 yards in Week 2 against the Packers.
Gabriel remained a non-factor after he was held to three catches last week. He's taken a predictable step back with ex-OC Kyle Shanahan gone. Gabriel isn't on the re-draft radar. Sep 18 - 12:49 AM

Taylor Gabriel caught 3-of-4 targets for 36 yards in the Falcons' Week 1 win over the Bears.

He finished fourth on the team in targets behind Mohamed Sanu (9), Tevin Coleman (6), and Julio Jones (5). Gabriel's 2016 production was largely a product of ex-OC Kyle Shanahan, and his weekly role under new OC Steve Sarkisian remains fluid. Offering obvious big-play potential but low in the pecking order for targets, Gabriel is only roster worthy in deep fantasy leagues.
Sep 10 - 4:35 PM

Taylor Gabriel failed to catch his lone target in the Falcons' third preseason game.

He was targeted on a deep shot by Matt Ryan that was nearly intercepted by Patrick Peterson. Gabriel was making his preseason debut after battling a calf injury. Gabriel is simply a big-play WR5/6 in fantasy leagues.
Aug 26 - 8:54 PM

Taylor Gabriel (calf) will play in the Falcons' third preseason game.

Gabriel has been limited throughout training camp. He'll make his preseason debut Saturday, but likely won't see more than a few series. Julio Jones (foot) is also expected to play against the Cardinals.
Aug 26 - 3:54 PM

Taylor Gabriel (calf) will be limited for the start of training camp.

Gabriel has been dealing with a lower leg issue since OTAs. He avoided the PUP list, but the Falcons will move him slowly early in camp. Gabriel should be healthy in time for Atlanta's first preseason game.
Jul 26 - 4:36 PM

Taylor Gabriel has been sidelined by a "lower leg strain" at OTAs and minicamp.

It sounds like a calf injury. The Falcons are being cautious, but speedy guys like Gabriel always seem more susceptible to muscle pulls. He may not participate in minicamp this week, but Gabriel should be fine by July.
Jun 13 - 9:23 PM

Falcons re-signed WR Taylor Gabriel to a one-year, $2.81 million contract.

He had been a restricted free agent. Cut by the Browns at the end of training camp last summer, Gabriel resurfaced as a big-play threat in Atlanta with seven touchdowns on only 39 touches. The 26-year-old should again be a key cog in the Falcons high-octane offense.
Apr 22 - 1:49 PM

Falcons extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent WR Taylor Gabriel.

Since Gabriel was undrafted out of college, Atlanta had to come up to the second-round level rather than the "original-pick" level to keep teams from coming after him. Gabriel will be back in Atlanta on a one-year, $2.81 million deal barring an extension. The 26-year-old had a strong 2016 as a big-play threat in the league's top offense. He'll fill a similar 2017 role as an up-and-down fantasy WR4.
Mar 3 - 12:47 PM

Restricted free agent Taylor Gabriel says he hopes to re-sign with the Falcons.

Per ESPN's Vaughn McClure, the "feeling from the team is mutual." The big-play threat emerged as an important weapon during the Falcons' Super Bowl run, catching 35 passes for 579 yards and six touchdowns. Turning 26 on Friday, Gabriel will likely be tendered at the second-round level.
Feb 14 - 6:54 PM

Taylor Gabriel caught 3-of-5 targets for 76 yards in the Falcons' Super Bowl 51 loss to the Patriots.

Gabriel ripped off chunk-yardage gains on his three receptions, but the Falcons barely had the ball and failed to establish an offensive rhythm in the second half. An impending restricted free agent, 26-year-old Gabriel should draw a second-round tender. While not a high-volume receiver, Gabriel's 4.4-flat speed has made him an integral role player in Atlanta's deep offense.
Feb 5 - 11:28 PM

Taylor Gabriel caught 2-of-3 targets for 24 yards in the Falcons' NFC Championship Game win over the Packers.

Gabriel's missed connection was a rare drop. The Falcons will need Gabriel to bust a big play or two to bring home the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 51.
Jan 22 - 6:55 PM

Taylor Gabriel wasn't listed on the Falcons' final injury report for Sunday's NFC Championship Game

Gabriel was limited with a toe/foot injury earlier in the week, but he was upgraded to full practice on Friday. He won't have any restrictions against the Packers. Gabriel caught all three of his targets for 68 yards and a touchdown when he faced Green Bay in Week 8.
Jan 20 - 3:50 PM

Taylor Gabriel (foot) remained "limited" in Thursday's practice.

The Falcons are just managing Gabriel's reps ahead of Sunday's NFC title tilt.
Jan 19 - 4:34 PM

Taylor Gabriel (foot) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Gabriel returned for the Divisional Round after sitting out the regular season finale, catching 4-of-6 targets for 71 yards. The Falcons are limiting his reps ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship. Daily Slant: Per Mike Clay, the Packers have allowed the most FPPG to WRs who line up on the right side of the field, something that bodes particularly well for Taylor Gabriel. The speedy receiver lines up on the right side about half the time, with Julio Jones running roughly a third of his routes out of that spot. It's possible that the Packers use LaDarius Gunter to shadow Jones, but that would even further increase the appeal of Gabriel. On the other side of this match-up, the Falcons have allowed the 2nd most FPPG to slot receivers, so Randall Cobb becomes very intriguing if Jordy Nelson sits.
Jan 18 - 4:30 PM

Taylor Gabriel caught 4-of-6 targets for 71 yards in the Falcons' Divisional Round win over the Seahawks.

The yards were Gabriel's most in two months. Gabriel is a threat to bust a huge play every time he touches the ball, but hasn't seen much volume since Mohamed Sanu's healthy return.
