Taylor Gabriel was knocked out of Week 17 against the Steelers with an eye injury.
Gabriel was ruled out after being poked in the eye in the first half. The diminutive deep threat finishes the year with 28 receptions for 241 yards and zero touchdowns. Gabriel is a fine back-of-the-roster guy, but the number of snaps he has played the last two seasons clearly illustrates the issues Cleveland has faced finding playmakers. This wide receiver corps needs an infusion of talent this offseason. Luckily, Josh Gordon could be reinstated as early as February. Jan 3 - 2:00 PM

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) will return for Week 15.

Gabriel sat out the past three games. His health has taken on increased importance with Brian Hartline (collarbone) done for the season. Gabriel will be third in line for targets behind Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin, but won't be a fantasy option in Seattle.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) returned to practice on Thursday.

So did Travis Benjamin (shoulder). Gabriel hasn't played since suffering a concussion in Week 10. If he suits up this week, he'll slot in as the No. 3 receiver behind Benjamin and Brian Hartline.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 13.

Browns players have had a really hard time passing concussion protocol this season. With Andrew Hawkins (concussion) also ruled out against the Bengals, Brian Hartline is a sneaky deep-league fantasy play this week. Hartline has drawn 31 targets over Cleveland's last three games.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) has not practiced this week.

The situational player is looking doubtful for Monday night's game.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) is not practicing Wednesday.

Gabriel has started three games this season and played 338 snaps on offense, but has just 26 catches for 223 scoreless yards (8.6 YPR) after averaging 16.7 YPR as a deep threat last season. He's a fantasy non-factor.

Taylor Gabriel secured 4-of-5 targets for 75 yards in the Browns' Week 5 win over the Ravens.

In a game where Josh McCown threw for 457 yards, four different Browns pass catchers topped 50 yards receiving and Andrew Hawkins finished at 49. Although Gabriel is an asset to Cleveland's offense as a quick, jitterbug-type rotational receiver, he lacks fantasy value commanding no more than five targets per game. The Browns face the Broncos' elite defense next.

Browns WR Taylor Gabriel secured 4-of-5 targets for 22 yards in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Chargers.

Gabriel and Andrew Hawkins are sharing time in the Browns' receiver rotation behind Travis Benjamin and Brian Hartline. Gabriel helps Cleveland's offense in spots, but doesn't get enough usage for true fantasy value.

Taylor Gabriel secured 3-of-5 targets for 28 yards in the Browns' Week 3 loss to the Raiders.

Gabriel is sharing time with Andrew Hawkins behind Brian Hartline and Travis Benjamin. Gabriel is not worth a roster spot even in 14-team leagues.

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Taylor Gabriel has been the Browns' best receiver at OTAs.

"Very consistent," said Caplan of Gabriel. He posted a 38-633-1 receiving line as an undrafted rookie last season on 71 targets. A whopping 29.6 percent of his targets were 20-plus yards downfield, and Gabriel had an impressive 38.1 percent catch rate on such passes. Gabriel should have the upper hand on the Browns' deep-threat role behind plodders Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline.

Taylor Gabriel caught 3-of-7 targets for 66 yards Week 17 against the Ravens.

Gabriel had a brief concussion scare after being hung out to dry by Connor Shaw in the end zone late in the second quarter, but he returned to the game after halftime. An undrafted rookie out of Abilene Christian, Gabriel came out of nowhere to post a 36-621-1 line for the Browns in 2014, doing most of his damage with Josh Gordon sidelined early in the season. At only 5-foot-8, 167 pounds, Gabriel is too slight to be a volume receiver, but he could carve out a role as a situational deep threat for the Browns in 2015.

Taylor Gabriel was held without a catch in Cleveland's Week 13 loss to the Bills.

Gabriel's lone target resulted in a Brian Hoyer interception. Gabriel was triple covered on play action. Gabriel has been a bright spot for the Browns this season, but the return of Josh Gordon has scuttled his WR4 value.

Taylor Gabriel caught 1-of-2 targets for 13 yards in Cleveland's Week 12 win over the Falcons.

The targets were Gabriel's fewest since Week 3. His WR4 value is taking a serious hit with the return of Josh Gordon. He's not a must own in 12-14 team leagues.

Taylor Gabriel secured 5-of-13 targets for 92 yards in the Browns' Week 11 loss to the Texans.

Rookie GM Ray Farmer deserves a ton of credit for finding Gabriel out of Abilene Christian. He's given the Browns serious playmaking ability in the slot, complementing Andrew Hawkins. Both Hawkins and Gabriel will move down the totem pole when Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron return, however. Gordon will definitely play in Week 12 against Atlanta, while Cameron (concussion) is tentatively due back.

Starting in the absence of Andrew Hawkins (thigh/knee), Taylor Gabriel caught 3-of-5 targets for 31 yards in Cleveland's Week 10 win over the Bengals.

Gabriel also drew a defensive-holding penalty. Gabriel did his job, finding space in the middle of the field, but the Browns attempted only 23 passes compared to 52 rushes. Gabriel has been a nice find as an undrafted free agent, but his depth-chart placement and the Browns' offensive philosophy make him a tough sell as anything more than a WR5.
