Jerry Jones expects DE Randy Gregory (concussion) to play Week 3 against the Seahawks.

Gregory sat out Sunday night's game because of the head injury, but he has already been cleared to practice. Barring any setbacks -- or long-rumored suspensions -- he should be ready to play in Seattle.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory (concussion) is doubtful for Week 2 against the Giants.

Gregory has been medically cleared to practice but his availability for Sunday night remains highly doubtful. DE Taco Charlton played 49 snaps with Gregory in and out of the lineup in Week 1 and would receive similar work if Gregory is declared inactive.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory (concussion) returned to practice Friday.

"He’s been cleared to practice today, so we’re certainly hopeful as we move forward," coach Jason Garrett said. Although Gregory has been medically cleared to practice, his availability for Sunday night remains a true question mark. DE Taco Charlton played 49 snaps with Gregory in and out in Week 1.
Sep 14 - 1:18 PM

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory (concussion) did not practice Thursday.

He also sat out Wednesday's practice. A rumored suspension has yet to be announced, but it looks like Gregory will miss Week 2 regardless.

Jerry Jones does not believe there is any "substance" to reports Randy Gregory is facing league discipline.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Gregory had a relapse in August which has him facing another suspension. "I don’t think these reports have any substance at all, if you really want to know the truth about it," Jones said. Gregory is currently sidelined by a concussion he suffered Week 1.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory (concussion) won't return in Week 1 against the Panthers.

Gregory was evaluated at halftime for a head injury. He's out for the remainder of the game with a concussion. Even if he's cleared for Week 2, Gregory is still facing another potential suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. There should be more clarity on that issue and his injury in the coming week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Cowboys DE Randy Gregory is facing a potential suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Gregory had a substance-related relapse in August. The league is still gathering facts, but Gregory is in danger of another ban after getting reinstated this offseason. There should be clarity on Gregory's status later this week.

Jerry Jones expects Randy Gregory to be available Week 1.

There are persistent rumors about the oft-suspended Gregory facing more league discipline, but nothing official has been announced. "As best we know, and that's a very positive statement," Jones said, "he's preparing to play at Carolina." It seems like Gregory's availability will be a weekly proposition.
Sep 4 - 10:20 AM

Jason La Canfora is "hearing there could be more trouble ahead" for Cowboys DE Randy Gregory.

It is an extremely cryptic tweet which offers basically no information, but it is notable considering Gregory has played just two games the last two seasons because of suspensions. For what it is worth, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expects Gregory to be active Week 1. Gregory recorded a sack in Dallas' third preseason game on Sunday.
Aug 27 - 12:30 PM

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory appeared in Saturday's preseason game against the Bengals.

He logged 10 defensive snaps during the first half. It was Gregory's first game action since 2016 after being suspended for all of last season. "It felt real good," said the 25-year-old. Now that his off-field issues are behind him, the Nebraska is hoping to make an immediate impact as a pass-rusher. The Cowboys could use help in that area with David Irving suspended for the first four games.
Aug 19 - 9:00 AM

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory declared himself game-ready.

He's hoping to make his preseason debut Saturday against the Bengals. Owner/GM Jerry Jones said earlier this week that he fully expected Gregory to play in the Cowboys' regular season opener at Carolina. The 25-year-old was reinstated last month following a year-long suspension for repeated violations of the league's substance abuse policy.
Aug 17 - 2:50 PM

Jerry Jones expects DE Randy Gregory to play Week 1.

Gregory was reinstated from his indefinite suspension last month. He did not play in the preseason opener and is not expected to play in the second game, but Jones remains optimistic. "I did notice some of his trademark skill out there on a couple of snaps that he took out there today," Jones said. "He’s just got the ability to create some pressure." If he is able to get on the field, Gregory should provide a nice boost to Dallas' pass rush.
Aug 13 - 9:34 AM

NFL reinstated Cowboys DE Randy Gregory from his indefinite suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Drug bans have limited Gregory to just two appearances since 2015. He turned 25 in the interim. The No. 60 overall pick of the 2015 draft, Gregory has only one sack across 14 NFL appearances, but untapped potential. The Cowboys are perennially in need of pass-rushing help, and Gregory could provide a nice boost in sub-packages if he manages to stay on the field in 2018.
Jul 17 - 3:02 PM

ESPN Dallas reports the Cowboys are hoping for a decision on DE Randy Gregory's reinstatement around the start of training camp.

Gregory met with commissioner Roger Goodell in early June. He's reportedly passed a drug test for six straight months, putting him on track for reinstatement after sitting out the last two seasons. With Dallas missing Maliek Collins (foot surgery) and David Irving (suspended) on their defensive line, there could be a role for Gregory in sub-packages.
