Eagles exercised Nelson Agholor's fifth-year option for 2019.
This has been the expected outcome since February. The option year is worth $9.387 million and is guaranteed for injury. Agholor was a drop-happy mess his first two seasons, but he broke out for 768 yards and eight scores on 62 catches last year. If he puts together another good season, the Eagles could look to extend him next spring. May 1 - 8:55 AM

The Eagles will pick up Nelson Agholor's fifth-year option.

Agholor shed his bust status in 2017, leading the Eagles in catches and setting career highs in yards (768) and touchdowns (8). The Eagles may look to extend him this offseason to lower his future cap hits. FanRag's Geoff Mosher expects Agholor to command $9 million-plus annually.
Feb 16 - 6:14 PM

Nelson Agholor caught 9-of-11 targets for 84 yards and rushed once for nine yards in the Eagles' Super Bowl 52 win over the Patriots.

Clearly a big part of the Eagles' game plan, Agholor touched the ball via short catches on each of the Eagles’ first two offensive plays. Agholor picked up 16 yards on a tackle-breaking third-quarter slot route, won an outside fade for 24 yards later in the frame, then chipped away at the Patriots’ slot coverage throughout the fourth quarter. Agholor had all the appearances of a first-round draft bust in 2015-2016, but he exploded in a third-year breakout for a 62/768/12.4/8 receiving line, flourishing in the slot and allowing the Eagles to move on from Jordan Matthews. Agholor will enter 2018 no worse than Carson Wentz’s No. 3 passing-game target behind Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery, making Agholor worthy of a middle-round fantasy pick.
Feb 4 - 10:29 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms Nelson Agholor (illness) is expected to play in the Super Bowl.

Agholor needed an IV Saturday after coming down with flu-like symptoms. He may not be 100 percent, but this isn't something that will hold him out. Agholor will match up with Patriots slot CB Eric Rowe in the Super Bowl.
Feb 3 - 4:11 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Nelson Agholor received an IV Saturday morning after feeling sick with " flu-like symptoms."

Rapoport goes on to say Agholor is "feeling better" and should be "fine" for Sunday. He will likely run the majority of his routes against burnable slot-corner Eric Rowe. Drawing the best matchup of all Eagles pass-catchers, Agholor has a good chance to make a sizeable impact in the Super Bowl.
Feb 3 - 1:46 PM

Nelson Agholor caught 3-of-4 targets for 59 yards in the Eagles' NFC title game win over the Vikings.

Agholor was quiet beyond a 42-yard gain in the second half, and has now been held below 60 yards in five straight games while Alshon Jeffery has shown an improved rapport with Nick Foles. Nevertheless, Agholor's role should grow in the Super Bowl against the Patriots, who have struggled mightily against interior receivers all season. Agholor runs over 80 percent of his snaps in the slot.
Jan 21 - 9:53 PM

Nelson Agholor caught 3-of-3 targets for 24 yards in the Eagles' Divisional Round win over the Falcons, adding two rushes for 20 additional yards.

Since the Eagles' loss of Carson Wentz, Agholor has become something of a manufactured-touch player. For DFS purposes, Agholor would be much better off against the Saints than Vikings for the NFC Championship Game.
Jan 13 - 8:44 PM

Nelson Agholor caught three passes for 11 yards in Week 17 against Dallas.

Agholor and Alshon Jeffery were both rested after the first quarter. Coming off a disaster 2016, Agholor had a strong rebound this year, setting career highs with in catches (59), yards (768), and touchdowns (8). He's been Nick Foles preferred option over Jeffery and will be on the DFS radar for the Divisional Round.

Nelson Agholor caught 4-of-7 targets for 35 yards in the Eagles' Week 16 win over the Raiders.

Agholor was unable to come down with one pass that could have been a touchdown, and Nick Foles short-armed a downfield throw later that could have been a big gain. It was a real disappointing game for mostly everyone involved on both offenses in this one. Agholor will be a WR2/3 Week 17 vs. Dallas.

Nelson Agholor caught 7-of-9 targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 15 win over the Giants.

Agholor caught the fourth of Nick Foles' four touchdown passes with a defender draped all over him in the second half. One of this year's best redemption stories, Agholor will stay in the mix as a WR3/flex when the Eagles host the Raiders in Week 16. Agholor is up to eight touchdown catches on the season. Foles has targeted Agholor more than any other Eagles pass catcher this year.
Sun, Dec 17, 2017 04:56:00 PM

Nelson Agholor caught 8-of-11 targets for 64 yards in the Eagles' Week 14 win over the Rams.

The catches were a new season high. For the second straight week, Agholor was funneled targets with Zach Ertz on the sideline. Ertz (concussion) seems likely to return for Week 15. In a blow for both Ertz and Agholor, Carson Wentz seems likely to miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Agholor will revert to boom/bust WR4 status with Nick Foles under center.
Sun, Dec 10, 2017 08:39:00 PM

Nelson Agholor caught 7-of-12 targets for 141 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against Seattle.

It’s his second straight week with a touchdown. The yards were a season high for Agholor, who had been held under 50 yards in five straight games. Agholor got wide open for his TD, beating Byron Maxwell from 27 yards out. With Zach Ertz dealing with a concussion, Agholor is on the FLEX radar for Week 14 against the Rams.
Mon, Dec 4, 2017 12:15:00 AM

Nelson Agholor hauled in 3-of-6 targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 12 win Chicago.

Agholor built his early-season fantasy value on the back of touchdowns, but he had not found the end zone since Week 7 entering this game. He put an end to that streak in the second quarter, taking a screen up the sideline and into the end zone from 15 yards out. He could have had another long touchdown later in the first half, but Carson Wentz just missed him. Despite the touchdown, Agholor still has just one game with more than 60 yards since Week 1. He will be a touchdown-or-bust option against the Seahawks next week.
Sun, Nov 26, 2017 04:55:00 PM

Nelson Agholor was held to one catch in Week 11 against Dallas.

It was another quiet game for Agholor. He had a touchdown overturned, but wasn't needed in a game Carson Wentz threw for just 168 yards. Agholor gets a matchup with Chicago in Week 12.
Mon, Nov 20, 2017 12:07:00 AM

Nelson Agholor caught 2-of-4 targets for 36 yards in the Eagles' Week 9 win over the Broncos.

A big game was never in the cards for Agholor in the slot against Chris Harris. Agholor has played well in his breakout third NFL season, but he has played a low-volume role in the Eagles' offense. When Philly comes out of its Week 10 bye, Agholor will remain a boom-bust WR3/flex option week to week.
