Jamison Crowder caught 3-of-5 passes for 15 yards in Week 6 against the 49ers.
The Redskins planned to get Crowder more involved this week, but it never happened. Crowder saw fewer targets than Jordan Reed, Vernon Davis, and Chris Thompson in the short pass game. He's been a non-factor all year, with just 122 yards through five games. Crowder is droppable in redraft leagues. Oct 15 - 5:24 PM

The Redskins plan to get Jamison Crowder more involved.

"I think you’ll see more of Jamison Crowder," coach Jay Gruden said. "He's one of our best skill players. I have to get the ball to him in space more often and get him the flow early." Crowder has just 106 yards through four games. It sounds like he could have an expanded role coming off Washington's bye, but he's difficult to trust despite a matchup with the 49ers. A healthy Jordan Reed is a concern for Crowder's targets.
Oct 11 - 6:37 PM

Coach Jay Gruden blamed Jamison Crowder's disastrous Week 4 showing on game flow.

Crowder's lone "catch" was a seven-yard loss on a game-ending, nonsense lateral play. The Chiefs dominated time of possession, limiting Kirk Cousins to 24 attempts. It wouldn't be the worst explanation had Crowder not entered Week 4 with just 13 catches for 113 yards. Now barely out-snapping Ryan Grant, Crowder is looking droppable in 12-team leagues.
Oct 3 - 3:38 PM

Jamison Crowder caught his lone target for -7 yards in the Redskins' Week 4 loss to the Chiefs.

Crowder played 36-of-50 snaps, the second-highest mark on the team behind only Terrelle Pryor, but he was completely nonexistent. Crowder's lone target came on the final play of the game, where the Redskins tried to lateral the ball all over the field, which is why he got slapped with the negative yards. Through four games, Crowder has a meager 14-106 line. He's becoming close to droppable. Ryan Grant seems to have more of Kirk Cousins' trust in the short area.
Oct 3 - 9:09 AM

Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is active for Week 4 against the Chiefs.

Crowder hasn't lived up to the summer hype to this point, but he gets a good draw here as a WR3/FLEX option in a potential shootout. The problem is Ryan Grant is a coach's pet and is taking snaps from Crowder. Inactive for the Redskins are RB Mack Brown, CB Joshua Holsey, LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, OG Tyler Catalina, DE Anthony Lanier, WR Brian Quick, and OT Ty Neskhe.
Oct 2 - 7:13 PM

Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is questionable for Week 4 against the Chiefs.

Crowder showed up on the injury report with a hamstring issue on Friday, but he was able to practice on Saturday, suggesting he will be able to go on Monday night. Still, there is a chance he sits, and he has just 113 scoreless yards in three games. Even in a great spot, Crowder is a risky WR3/FLEX option this week.

Sep 30 - 1:47 PM

Jamison Crowder caught six passes for 52 yards in Week 3 against the Raiders.

Crowder finished second on the team in targets with Jordan Reed out. He played 48-of-68 snaps, but Chris Thompson continued to overshadow him in the short pass game. Crowder has the safest floor of Washington's receivers, but has looked like a bust through the first three weeks.
Sep 25 - 12:15 AM

Jamison Crowder corralled four-of-five targets for 47 yards Sunday in the Redskins’ Week 2 win over the Rams.

It was another quiet outing for Crowder, who disappointed with just three catches for 14 yards in last week’s opener. Three of his four catches came after halftime including a crucial third-down conversion on the Redskins’ final scoring drive. Crowder will look to break out against the Raiders next week on Sunday Night Football.
Sep 17 - 9:05 PM

Jamison Crowder (hip) is practicing in full for Week 2.

Questionable last week, Crowder struggled mightily in the Redskins' opener. It's possible he's grinding it out at less than 100 percent, but he will be out there against the Rams as a low-end WR3.
Sep 14 - 6:48 PM

Jamison Crowder caught 3-of-7 targets for 14 yards in the Redskins' Week 1 loss to the Eagles.

Listed questionable with a hip injury coming into the game, Crowder looked no worse for the wear, but he clearly wasn't being used in an every-down role. Behind Terrelle Pryor, it was a rotation of sorts between Crowder, Josh Doctson, and Ryan Grant. We'd imagine Crowder will take hold of that No. 2 job once he's 100 percent. But today was a bad one all around for the Skins. Kirk Cousins badly over threw Crowder in the red zone on his interception. Crowder will do battle with a scrappy Rams secondary on the road in Week 2.
Sep 10 - 4:50 PM

Jamison Crowder (hip) is active for Week 1 against the Eagles.

As expected. Crowder was listed as questionable after a week of limited practices, but he's good to go and said he felt fine. Fire Crowder up as a capable WR3 in season-long leagues. Inactive for the Redskins are RB Mack Brown, G/T T.J. Clemmings, CB Joshua Holsey, LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, OG Tyler Catalina, DL Anthony Lanier, and TE Jeremy Sprinkle.
Sep 10 - 11:35 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Jamison Crowder (questionable, hip) is expected to play in Sunday's Week 1 game against the Eagles.

The Redskins have been mum on Crowder's status, though he put in a limited week of practice and should be all systems go for Sunday's opener. If Crowder is hobbled at all or suffers an in-game setback, it could open up more looks for Terrelle Pryor and Josh Doctson.
Sep 10 - 8:08 AM

Jamison Crowder (questionable, hip) fully expects to play in Week 1 against the Eagles.

Crowder was able to participate in individual drills on Friday, and said afterwards he "didn't know" the Redskins would list him as questionable, indicating surprise at the team-issued designation. Crowder said he's "feeling good." A league-high 92 percent of players listed as questionable by the Redskins last season wound up playing on game day.
Sep 8 - 2:15 PM

Jamison Crowder (hip) is listed as questionable for Week 1 against the Eagles.

"Anyone questionable is a concern," coach Jay Gruden said on Friday. Crowder apparently suffered the hip injury in practice. Gruden said the Redskins will work out Crowder to see how he feels on Saturday, then make a decision about his status. If Crowder can't go, Jordan Reed and Terrelle Pryor would be locked into the Redskins' top-two pass-catcher roles against Philadelphia.

Sep 8 - 1:51 PM

Jamison Crowder was added to the Redskins' injury report with a hip issue on Thursday, getting in a limited session.

Mid-week additions are never good, and Crowder briefly dealt with a hip issue last December, but the Redskins haven't seemed concerned about his status. For now, fantasy owners can keep Crowder penciled in as their WR3. His status will be updated no later than Friday.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Crowder made solid improvements last season, turning in 847 yards and seven touchdowns on 97 targets, and he’s in for an expanded role this year as Washington’s WR2. All seven scores and 67 targets came from the slot. Although he’ll be out wide on two-receiver sets, it seems likely he'll return to the position when three WRs are on the field. Crowder finished ninth in yards from the slot (618) and yards per route run (1.55), per PFF, a nice indication of his upside. In Week 1, he has a favorable matchup rating with Patrick Robinson in our WR/CB matchup tool (24.76; 19th).
