Stefon Diggs (groin) is out for Week 7 against the Ravens.
Diggs has yet to practice since tweaking his groin against the Bears in Week 5 and remains week-to-week. Adam Thielen drew a season-high 13 targets in last week's win over the Packers and should be in for another big workload on Sunday. Consider him a borderline WR1 against Baltimore. Oct 20 - 2:17 PM

Date:

Stefon Diggs (groin) was officially listed as "DNP" in Thursday's practice.

Diggs was out on the practice field in uniform, but apparently didn't do enough to earn a "limited" tag. Diggs' own words have suggested he won't play this week. Fantasy owners need to be making other plans.
Oct 19 - 4:25 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) returned to Vikings practice Thursday.

Diggs himself labeled his Week 7 odds of suiting up as no better than 50-50, but this is a big step in the right direction. The key will be how Diggs' body responds on Friday. If Diggs does play, he'll be on the WR2/3 borderline instead of his customary WR1/2 borderline. He's at well less than full health, and has struggled to produce when banged up.
Oct 19 - 2:18 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) said it is up in the air if he plays Week 7 against the Ravens.

Considering players are usually overly optimistic about their injuries, this is not a good sign for his availability, especially after he sat out Wednesday's practice. Diggs is at best questionable to face the Ravens. Even in a tough matchup, Adam Thielen will be a high-end WR2 if Diggs sits.
Oct 19 - 12:55 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Diggs didn't practice at all last week before being inactive and is off on the wrong foot for Week 7. In his absence, Laquon Treadwell acted as the No. 2 receiver, while the offense ran through Adam Thielen and Jerick McKinnon.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Thielen took advantage of his opportunity last weekend, coming down with 9 receptions for 97 yards. He may have a better matchup than it appears on paper against the Ravens this weekend as he'll battle Ladarius Webb in the slot. When inside, Webb is allowing the most yards per cover snap (2.11, per PFF) and a 68% catch rate. As a unit, Baltimore is holding passers to the 2nd-lowest completion percentage (53.6%), 4th-lowest rating (71.1), and 5th-fewest yards per game (190). With the rest of the secondary playing so well, QB Case Keenum will likely need to pepper Thielen with targets all game, providing him some potentially sneaky GPP appeal.
Oct 18 - 2:21 PM

Vikings declared WR Stefon Diggs, QB Sam Bradford, WR Rodney Adams, S Andrew Sendejo, OG Nick Easton, OT Aviante Collins, and DE Tashawn Bower inactive for Week 6 against the Packers.

No surprises here. Diggs and Bradford had previously been ruled out.
Oct 15 - 11:50 AM

Stefon Diggs (groin) is out for Week 6 against the Packers.

Sam Bradford (knee) is also on the shelf for Week 6. Diggs wasn't able to practice this week after tweaking his groin on Monday Night Football. It's probably for the best as Diggs was highly ineffective while playing through a similar injury last season. His absence should open up targets for Adam Thielen as well as Kyle Rudolph and Jerick McKinnon. Laquon Treadwell and Michael Floyd could also see more run with Diggs in street clothes.
Oct 13 - 1:36 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Diggs hasn't practiced at all this week. Despite him saying he plans to play, we highly doubt Diggs is out there Sunday against the Packers. Bump Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, and Jerick McKinnon up for more usage.
Oct 13 - 12:17 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.

Diggs told the media he expects to play Sunday against the Packers, but it would put fantasy owners' minds at ease if he got in at least a limited session on Friday. For what it's worth, Diggs said his current groin injury isn't as bad as the one that hampered him throughout last season. Adam Thielen will be a strong fantasy option this week if Diggs is absent or limited in any way.
Oct 12 - 2:18 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) said he plans to play against the Packers in Week 6.

It's good news after Diggs was held out of practice. He's still not a lock to be active this week, but the Vikings may be resting him coming off a Monday night game. Diggs likely won't be 100 percent if he plays, making him more of a high-risk WR2.
Oct 11 - 5:56 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Diggs tweaked his groin about midway through Monday night's game and was used sparingly the rest of the night. If he has to sit out Week 6, it would open up more looks for Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph and perhaps even Jerick McKinnon.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Green Bay has been tough on tight ends this season, limiting them to the second-fewest PPR points per game (7.74) without allowing a single touchdown to the position. The Packers are 26th in WR1 DVOA while allowing the tenth-most passes to top wideouts (8.5, per FO) though, setting up a great spot for Thielen if Diggs is out. He’ll likely face Damarious Randall or Quinten Rollins in the slot. The former has permitted 1.55 yards per cover snap (59th, per PFF) and the latter allowed a completion all five times he was targeted when inside last week for 41 yards and a score. At just $6k on DraftKings, Thielen would be a strong target in all formats.
Oct 11 - 4:07 PM

Stefon Diggs exited Monday night's Week 5 game against the Bears with a groin injury.

Diggs caught 1-of-4 targets for four yards before leaving, and he's being labeled questionable to return. Michael Floyd and Laquon Treadwell will pick up the leftover snaps, while Adam Thielen is the clear-cut No. 1.
Oct 9 - 10:20 PM

Stefon Diggs caught 5-of-7 targets for 98 yards in the Vikings' Week 4 loss to the Lions.

He accounted for nearly half of Case Keenum's 209 passing yards. It frankly doesn't matter who is lined up in coverage against Diggs; he gets open at will and made a couple more highlight catches in this one. At the season's quarter pole, Diggs is on pace for 88 catches, 1,564 yards, and 16 touchdowns. If healthy, Diggs can certainly top 1,000 yards and score double-digit times. Diggs will once again be a high-end WR2 next Monday night against the Bears.
Oct 1 - 6:03 PM

Stefon Diggs caught 8-of-11 targets for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' Week 3 win over the Vikings.

And that was with three drops. Even with Case Keenum at quarterback, Diggs simply couldn't be stopped by the Brent Grimes-less Bucs secondary. He made Tampa Bay pay at the intermediate and deep levels, showing RAC ability in addition to his vertical skills. Diggs is one of the NFL's closest wide receivers to Antonio Brown with an ability to get open at all three levels of the defense. Diggs will likely continue to be up and down without consistent quarterback play, but this effort should give his fantasy owners confidence to use Diggs as an upside WR1/2 in Week 4 against the Lions.
Sep 24 - 4:12 PM

Stefon Diggs caught 2-of-6 targets for 27 yards in the Vikings' Week 2 loss to the Steelers.

Diggs had a number of lengthy gains called back on penalties, the first a weak offensive pass interference call and the second on a holding penalty. He also could only get one foot in bounds on a late fourth-quarter catch on the sideline. Diggs could have easily had a much more respectable stat line, but Case Keenum really struggled to move the offense in the spot start. Sam Bradford (knee) is expected back for Week 3 against the Bucs. Stay confident in Diggs as a WR2.
