Trevor Siemian completed 19-of-31 passes for 200 yards with one touchdown while adding 13 yards on three rushing attempts Sunday in the Broncos’ Week 14 win over the Jets.
He was sacked twice for a loss of 11 yards. Siemian didn’t set the world on fire, but this was certainly a better outing than his last one against the Dolphins in Week 13. He went out of his way to get Demaryius Thomas involved, targeting him 12 times for 93 yards on eight catches. Thomas was also the recipient of Siemian’s only touchdown throw of the afternoon. Siemian threw up a prayer as he was about to get hit but Thomas was somehow able to haul it in for a 20-yard score. Sunday’s win was the Broncos’ first since Week 4. They’ll try to make it two straight Thursday night against Indianapolis. Dec 10 - 7:48 PM

Date:

Trevor Siemian will remain the Broncos' starting quarterback for Week 14.

Siemian was pitiful in Sunday's blowout loss to the Dolphins, but with Paxton Lynch not an option as he recovers from a high-ankle sprain, the Broncos don't have a choice. The Jets just got ripped to shreds by Alex Smith and the Chiefs in Week 13, but will be in the D/ST streamer mix against Siemian.
Dec 4 - 2:53 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 19-of-40 attempts for 200 yards and three interceptions in the Broncos' Week 13 loss to the Dolphins.

He rushed three times for 16 yards. Sieimian's game was as bad as the final stat line suggests, showing a complete lack of confidence in his ability to deliver the ball to wideouts. Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas combined for 38 scoreless yards on 17 targets. The Broncos may have to once again go back to the drawing board at quarterback ahead of their Week 14 date with the Jets.
Dec 3 - 5:25 PM

Trevor Siemian is dealing with a "flu bug."

The illness has infected several people in the locker room. "Hopefully guys can take care of themselves and we can get a handle on that," coach Vance Joseph said. "It’s about four or five guys that are sick right now, especially our D-line." Despite the illness, Siemian said he will be "all right." Assuming that is true, he will be in the streaming conversation this week against the Dolphins.

Nov 30 - 11:07 AM

Trevor Siemian will be the Broncos' Week 13 starter at quarterback.

Paxton Lynch is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, so it's possible Siemian simply finishes the year under center. Siemian took advantage of a good matchup with the Raiders in relief of Lynch on Sunday and could do the same against the Dolphins in Week 13. He's on the streaming radar as a low-end QB2.
Nov 27 - 3:08 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 11-of-21 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns in Week 12 against Oakland.

Siemian took over in the second half after Paxton Lynch left with an ankle injury. He threw touchdowns on two of his three drives, but it wasn't enough to pull off a comeback. With Lynch's status up in the air, Siemian is in line to start Week 13.
Nov 26 - 7:41 PM

Trevor Siemian will be the backup to Paxton Lynch against the Raiders in Week 12.

He was demoted to third string last week against Cincinnati but will be in uniform Sunday at Oakland. With Siemian as the new No. 2, Brock Osweiler will likely be a healthy scratch in Week 12.
Nov 21 - 6:37 PM

Broncos declared QB Trevor Siemian, CB Lorenzo Doss, RB De'Angelo Henderson, TE Jeff Heuerman, T Cyrus Kouandjio, WR Isaiah McKenzie and DE/OLB DeMarcus Walker inactive for Week 11 against the Bengals.

Siemian is a healthy scratch while Paxton Lynch will be active for the first time this season. Cody Latimer (Achilles, knee) and Donald Stephenson (calf) are also active for the Broncos, who are looking to erase a five-game losing streak.
Nov 19 - 3:01 PM

Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post reports Trevor Siemian will be inactive for Week 11 against the Bengals.

That means he's been passed on the depth chart by Paxton Lynch, who will serve as the backup to Brock Osweiler in Week 11. Lynch has missed most of the year with a sprained shoulder but was cleared to return after putting in a full week of practice. With Osweiler struggling and Siemian demoted to third-string status, there's a good chance Lynch will ascend to lead status before the year is over.

Nov 19 - 10:05 AM

Speaking Tuesday, Broncos coach Vance Joseph remained noncommittal on Trevor Siemian as his Week 9 quarterback.

"It's my job to do what's best for the football team, and that's what I will do," Joseph said. Siemian was positively dreadful in Monday's loss to the Chiefs, and has been methodically fading since flukily-effective Weeks 1 and 2. It's unclear if second-year pro Paxton Lynch (shoulder) would be ready, or if benching Siemian would mean starting Brock Osweiler. It's dire times in Denver.
Oct 31 - 2:46 PM

After the Week 8 loss to the Chiefs, coach Vance Joseph wouldn't commit to Trevor Siemian as the Broncos' Week 9 starter against the Eagles.

Siemian was dreadful on Monday night, tossing three picks and firing a number of inaccurate passes. It was hard to believe he wasn't yanked before the game was over. Siemian has thrown three touchdowns to eight interceptions over the last five games, resulting in four losses. If Joseph sticks with Siemian, he runs the risk of losing the locker room. Paxton Lynch (shoulder) returned to practice this past week and could be ready soon. If not, Brock Osweiler will be a candidate to get the nod under center next Sunday in Philadelphia.
Oct 31 - 12:21 AM

Trevor Siemian completed just 19-of-36 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in the Broncos' 29-19, Week 8 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.

It's hard to overexaggerate just how bad Siemian was in this one; it was arguably the worst quarterback performance of the season, up there with Kevin Hogan's Browns start and Matt Moore's Thursday night showing against the Ravens. Siemian's touchdown was a meaningless hookup with AJ Derby in the game's final two minutes of garbage time, while all three of his picks were horrifyingly awful. The first was thrown right to Marcus Peters, and the last was a numbskull decision to throw across his body across the field. Since a strong Weeks 1 and 2, Siemian has thrown eight picks to three touchdowns in five games (four losses). The Broncos can't continue to run him out there. It has to be Brock Osweiler or Paxton Lynch for Week 9 in Philly.
Oct 30 - 11:42 PM

Coach Vance Joseph confirmed Monday the Broncos are staying with Trevor Siemian at quarterback.

"Absolutely, he's our quarterback," said Joseph. "He can't play well if he's not being protected." Siemian has absorbed at least four sacks in three straight games and 4-of-6 starts this season. He's thrown two touchdown passes since Week 2. Despite all of that, Siemian remains the Broncos' best option with only Brock Osweiler and injured draft bust Paxton Lynch behind him.
Oct 23 - 3:59 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 25-of-35 passes for 207 yards, zero touchdowns, an interception, and a lost fumble in the Broncos' 21-0 loss at the hands of the Chargers Week 7.

While the offensive line and lack of running game did not help, Siemian struggled plenty on his own in this one. He had the ball stripped from behind while rolling out of the pocket in the first half, he fumbled again late in the game – the offense recovered -- and he threw multiple passes which probably should have been intercepted. He finally was picked trying to force the action on fourth down in the final quarter. More importantly, he simply could not get anything going on offense for the fourth game in a row, a run in which Denver has three total touchdowns. Swapping in Brock Osweiler probably is not the answer, but Denver has to figure things out quickly. With a trip to Kansas City next up on the schedule, the path is not going to get any easier this week.
Oct 22 - 7:21 PM

Trevor Siemian (shoulder) is practicing in full for Week 7.

Siemian will be out there against the Chargers. With Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) sidelined, Siemian isn't set up well for a QB2 day.
