ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Trevor Siemian's shoulder injury is "minor," and that he will likely play Week 7.

It's not surprising after Siemian played through the issue against the Giants, though he underwent a Monday MRI to confirm the nature of the injury. Siemian's play has been in steady decline since a strong start, and he'll be without Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) against the Chargers. Siemian's streamer relevance has come and gone.
Oct 16 - 3:27 PM

Broncos coach Vance Joseph said Trevor Siemian will "probably" undergo an MRI Monday after injuring his shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Giants.

Siemian injured himself trying to tackle Janoris Jenkins on a pick-six late in the first half. Backup Brock Osweiler spelled him for a stretch in the second quarter, though Siemian would later return for the start of the second half. The injury was to Siemian's left (non-throwing) shoulder, the same one he had surgery on this offseason. If Siemian does undergo an MRI, it would probably just be a precautionary measure. Ultimately we'd expect Siemian to be fine for Sunday's game against the Chargers, even if the injury costs him practice time during the week.
Oct 16 - 8:37 AM

Trevor Siemian completed 29-of-50 passes for 376 yards a touchdown and two interceptions in Week 6 against the Giants.

Siemian played worse than his stats, with one of his interceptions a pick six. He was also sacked four times and didn't throw his touchdown until late in the fourth quarter. Siemian had to play without Emmanuel Sanders and a banged up Demaryius Thomas for most of the second half, but he's now struggled in three straight games. He has another tough matchup in Week 7 with the Chargers secondary.
Oct 15 - 11:45 PM

Trevor Siemian left Week 6 with a shoulder injury.

Siemian was injured trying to make a tackle after throwing a pick six. He was taken to the locker room, but returned in the second half.
Oct 15 - 9:56 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 16-of-26 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown while adding four carries for one yard Sunday in the Broncos’ Week 4 win over the Raiders.

Siemian got off to a hot start but only managed 31 passing yards after halftime. Part of that was by design as the Broncos played keep away from the Raiders by establishing their ground game in the second half. Lead receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas were both quiet on Sunday, though Siemian had success throwing to Bennie Fowler as well as tight end A.J. Derby, who came down with Denver’s only touchdown of the afternoon. Siemian was sacked four times for a loss of 24 yards including takedowns by reigning Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack. Siemian will face the Giants on Sunday Night Football after next week’s bye.
Oct 1 - 9:05 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 22-of-40 passes for 259 yards with two interceptions in Week 3 against Buffalo.

It's a step back after Siemian threw four touchdowns against the Cowboys last week. The Broncos didn't have trouble moving their offense for most of the game, but collapsed late. Both of Siemian's interceptions came trying to force throws under pressure. Siemian continued to settle for checkdowns with only three 20-plus yard passes. He should be avoided as a streaming optioning in a Week 4 matchup against Oakland.
Sep 24 - 4:27 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 22-of-32 passes for 231 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in the Broncos' Week 2 win over the Cowboys.

Siemian's promising 2017 start continued, as he again consistently pushed the ball down the field, not settling for easy check-downs. Siemian goes through his progressions noticeably quicker, and has seemingly become more accurate. None of today's scores were "wow" plays, but he found his receivers in spots where they could make plays. Siemian's pick came on a miscommunication with Demaryius Thomas. Firmly on the streaming radar, Siemian has an appetizing Week 3 matchup in the Bills.
Sep 17 - 9:08 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 17-of-28 passes for 219 yards and two passing touchdowns in a 24-21 win over the Chargers in Week 1, rushing for 19 yards and one score.

Coach Vance Joseph has said it's Siemian's team, and Siemian also told the ESPN crew he wanted to play point guard for this offense. His rushing score came on a rollout and his first passing TD came while rolling out, so the Broncos are OK with their QB making plays near the goal line. Offensive coordinator Mike McCoy had some conservative play calling in the first half, but later allowed his quarterback to take some chances down the field. The Broncos will want to win with defense and they ranked just 27th in passing yards last year, so it'll be tough to count on Siemian for fantasy even in favorable matchups. He'll get the Cowboys in Week 2.
Sep 12 - 2:35 AM

Speaking Monday, Broncos coach Vance Joseph said "it's Trevor (Siemian's) team."

It's just further confirmation Paxton Lynch wasn't truly pressuring Siemian before injuring his shoulder. New addition Brock Osweiler isn't a threat, either. How Siemian fares without coach Gary Kubiak — who managed and manipulated Siemian to fit his system in 2016 — is an open question, but Joseph is going to give him time to figure things out.
Sep 4 - 2:26 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 13-of-22 passes for 127 yards and an interception in the Broncos' third preseason game.

He added 18 yards on two scrambles. Siemian was better than his stat line, as Emmanuel Sanders dropped a would-be long bomb and Siemian came up just shy of a touchdown throw to Sanders when Packers CB Kevin King narrowly deflected his pass. Siemian has been named the Broncos' starter, and Paxton Lynch's struggles ensure Siemian should have a relatively long early-season leash.
Aug 26 - 10:52 PM

The Broncos have named Trevor Siemian their starting quarterback.

As expected. Siemian has outplayed 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch since the day Lynch was drafted, and Lynch made no tangible progress in his second NFL training camp. The Broncos envision Siemian as a capped-ceiling placeholder quarterback, but he gives the team its best chance to win now. The Broncos should probably look into acquiring Tyrod Taylor to add more talent to the room. Lynch has shown zero ability to move the offense.
Aug 21 - 1:29 PM

ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports teammates believe Trevor Siemian has won the Broncos' quarterback competition.

As do all outside observers and anyone who watched the team's first two preseason games. Coach Vance Joseph has said he wants the starter set before practices for the third preseason game, often viewed as the "dress rehearsal" for Week 1, so Legwold believes the coach could announce his decision on Monday. The No. 26 overall pick last year, Paxton Lynch is shaping up as a bust.

According to Troy Renck of Denver 7 ABC, players on the Broncos consider Trevor Siemian the "clear frontrunner" for the starting quarterback job.

Renck consulted "multiple players" after Saturday's preseason game. The consensus was that Siemian is well ahead of Paxton Lynch and that it isn't close. Siding with the overmatched Lynch probably wouldn't sit well in the locker room.
Aug 20 - 8:49 AM

Trevor Siemian completed 6-of-7 passes for 51 yards in the Broncos' preseason opener against the Bears.

Siemian played as expected, completing a lot of short throws and taking few risks. He completed a tough throw on 3rd-and-11 to Demaryius Thomas beyond the sticks, something he only did 19 percent of the time last year. The offensive line let him down, allowing heavy pressure multiple times. Siemian's performance was another step toward retaining his job as the starting quarterback.
