Alex Collins rushed 12 times for 19 yards with five receptions for 33 yards on eight targets in Sunday's Week 15 win over the Browns.
Entering the day third in the league in yards per carry (5.1) among running backs, Collins found no room to operate on Sunday as his longest run on the day was just six yards. Collins had a shot to reach the end zone on the day, but was stoned on back to back goal line carries in the second quarter. Collins will look to have a much better game next week against a hapless Colts defense at home in Week 16. Dec 17 - 4:26 PM

Alex Collins had 18 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Steelers.

He added two catches for 46 yards. Collins continued to stay hot as Baltimore's feature back. He broke multiple tackles and scored on an 18-yard run inside the final two minutes of the first half for his touchdown. He could have had another TD, but was vultured by Buck Allen twice in the red-zone. Collins now has five touchdowns in his last four games. He'll be an RB2 for a Week 15 matchup with Cleveland.
Dec 11 - 12:19 AM

Alex Collins (migraines) wasn't listed on the Ravens' injury report for Wednesday's practice.

Collins complained of migraines after Sunday's win over Detroit but it seems like he has the issue under control. He's been on a roll for Baltimore, averaging 75.3 yards from scrimmage with four touchdowns over his last three games. He'll remain a solid RB2 for Sunday night's matchup with Pittsburgh.
Dec 6 - 6:10 PM

Ravens coach John Harbaugh expressed concern Monday with migraines Alex Collins dealt with following Sunday's Week 13 win over the Lions.

"I can tell you this, migraines are very real," Harbaugh said. "They're tough." It is unclear whether Collins' migraines will affect his availability for Week 14 against the Steelers. Collins has logged 17 or more touches in three straight games and four out of his last five. If he can't play, we would likely see a three-way RBBC involving Buck Allen, Danny Woodhead, and Terrance West.
Dec 4 - 5:12 PM

Alex Collins rushed 15 times for 75 yards and two touchdowns with two receptions for 23 yards in Sunday's Week 13 win over the Lions.

Collins battled through a first half shoulder injury to take over in the second half. Both of his touchdowns came in the fourth quarter, rushing for a 7-yard score to put the Ravens up 27-13 and then adding a 6-yard score to ice the victory after an interception. This was the third straight game that Collins registered a touchdown on the ground, becoming the first Baltimore player to accomplish that since Willis McGahee in 2010. Collins is getting hot at the right time for fantasy owners, but will face a stiff Steelers run defense on the road in Week 14.
Dec 3 - 4:36 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms Alex Collins (questionable, calf) will play Week 13 against the Lions.

Collins got a rest day on Wednesday coming off the Monday night game but was a full participant at practice the rest of the week. His status for Week 13 was never in doubt. Collins has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games while emerging as Baltimore's lead back. He'll be an RB2 against the Lions.
Dec 3 - 8:01 AM

Alex Collins (questionable, calf) is expected to play in Week 13 against Detroit.

Collins practiced the last two days after sitting out Wednesday. The Ravens were managing his reps coming off a Monday night win. Even at less than 100 percent, Collins is an RB2 for Week 13.

Dec 1 - 3:55 PM

Alex Collins (calf) returned to practice on Thursday.

Collins got the day off Wednesday coming off the Monday night game. He didn't show any sign of injury upon his return Thursday and should play his usual role as the Ravens' lead ball-carrier Sunday against the Lions. Collins has scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks and should be considered an RB2 until further notice.
Nov 30 - 2:58 PM

Alex Collins (calf) didn't practice Wednesday.

It's a surprise after Collins looked fine on 16 carries last week. It's possible the Ravens are getting him some rest coming off a Monday night game, but his Week 13 status can't be taken for granted. Terrance West and Buck Allen would likely share early-down work if Collins misses time.
Nov 29 - 5:07 PM

Alex Collins rushed 16 times for 60 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens' 23-16, Week 12 win over the Texans on Monday night.

Collins' lone catch went for a loss of three yards, but he still led the team in total yards. The Ravens continue to be completely inept offensively, but the defense keeps winning them games. Buck Allen and Collins each scored rushing touchdowns in the first half, accounting for the team's only end-zone visits, while Justin Tucker kicked three field goals. Collins is getting the volume and has scored in back-to-back games, making him more palatable as an RB2/3 next week vs. Detroit.
Nov 27 - 11:43 PM

Alex Collins had 20 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Packers.

He added four catches for 22 yards. Collins remained the featured back with Terrance West a healthy scratch. He didn't find much running room, but managed to score on a goal-line TD. The 20 carries were a season-high for Collins. Collins will be an RB2/FLEX for Week 12 against the Texans.
Nov 19 - 4:27 PM

Ravens OC Marty Mornhinweg said Alex Collins will remain the team's featured back even when Terrance West (calf) Danny Woodhead (I.R., hamstring) return from injury.

West, who has been sidelined with a calf injury since Week 5, returned to full practice on Wednesday while Woodhead is expected to come off I.R. this week. Collins has been the Ravens' top ball-carrier this year, averaging an impressive 5.6 yards per carry on 93 attempts. He'll remain the starter, though the presence of Buck Allen, West and Woodhead will certainly limit his upside. Consider Collins an RB3 for Sunday's matchup against the Packers.
Nov 16 - 1:06 PM

Allen Collins totaled 43 yards on 13 carries while catching his lone target for a gain of three yards Sunday in the Ravens’ Week 9 loss to the Titans.

Collins out-touched Buck Allen 9-3 in the first half but took a backseat with the Ravens playing from behind after halftime. He broke off a 14-yard run on his first carry of the afternoon and also contributed a 14-yard burst in the fourth quarter but was otherwise a non-factor. He and his teammates will have a week to rest up before facing the Packers in Week 11.
Nov 5 - 6:04 PM

Coach John Harbaugh said Alex Collins has earned more playing time.

It's an easy decision for the Ravens, especially after Collins keyed their Week 8 win over the Dolphins with a career-high 143 total yards. Terrance West (calf) won't be Baltimore's starter whenever he returns. Buck Allen will continue to dominate passing-down snaps, but Collins is the team's new lead runner.
Oct 30 - 4:12 PM

Alex Collins rushed 18 times for 113 yards in the Ravens' 40-0, Week 8 win over the Dolphins, adding two receptions for 30 additional yards.

Both before and after Joe Flacco's (concussion) injury, Collins put the Ravens on his back, consistently ripping 5-6 yard gains and keeping the Ravens' dismal offense out of 3rd-and-long situations. Collins seemed shot out of a cannon, decisively hitting the hole and breaking arm tackles. He's now averaging 5.97 yards through 80 carries. He's begging for more work, but out-touched Buck Allen just 20-18 this evening. Allen's workload was partly-scoreboard related, as the Ravens were playing from (way) ahead. Collins is banging down the RB2 door, and has a solid Week 9 matchup in the Titans.
