Ravens placed RB Alex Collins (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season.
After bursting onto the scene with a breakout 212/973/6 in 12 starts for the Ravens last season, Collins' injury-riddled follow-up campaign tragically ends with 114/411/7 over 10 starts. Unlike last season, Collins stayed stuck in a weekly timeshare and never separated himself. He'll be a restricted free agent this offseason. The Ravens activated Kenneth Dixon in a corresponding move. Dec 1 - 12:40 PM

Alex Collins (foot) is questionable for Week 13 against the Falcons.

Gus Edwards (ankle) is additionally questionable for Sunday. Coach John Harbaugh still hinted RB Kenneth Dixon could make his regular season debut, undoubtedly pushing Javorius Allen out of the team's rotation altogether. Edwards practiced in full on Friday, and is still the best bet to lead the Ravens in carries against the Falcons. Collins could vulture goal line work, but is still an extremely dicey FLEX option.
Nov 30 - 2:37 PM

Alex Collins (foot) returned to a limited practice on Thursday.

Collins sat out Week 12 and Wednesday's practice with a foot injury. This session puts him on track to play against the Falcons, but it is unclear how much work he will get behind Gus Edwards. Collins is at best a desperation FLEX at this point.
Nov 29 - 12:44 PM

Alex Collins (foot) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Coach John Harbaugh continues to call Collins day to day after he was held out last week against the Raiders. Gus Edwards is entrenched as the No. 1 back. Ty Montgomery's role has grown on passing downs for the Ravens.
Nov 28 - 1:37 PM

Alex Collins (foot) will not play Sunday against the Raiders.

Collins' inactivity is a surprise after he practiced fully on Friday and NFL Network reported Sunday morning that he would play. Instead, rookie Gus "The Bus" Edwards will start.
Nov 25 - 11:23 AM

Alex Collins (questionable, foot) is expected to play Week 12 against the Raiders.

This was the expectation after Collins got in a full practice on Friday. Collins has a juicy home matchup against the Raiders, though it appears undrafted rookie Gus Edwards has supplanted him as the Ravens' lead back. With Edwards ahead of him on the depth chart, Collins is best viewed as a touchdown-or-bust RB3.
Nov 25 - 7:48 AM

Alex Collins (foot) is questionable for Week 12 against the Raiders.

Collins will likely play, but he's an extremely dicey RB3/FLEX after Gus 'The Bus' Edwards got 17 carries last week. With Lamar Jackson slated to make his second consecutive start, Collins would only provide fantasy production if lucks into a touchdown on the goal line. Javorius Allen and Ty Montgomery will still soak up limited snaps behind him, too.
Nov 23 - 3:14 PM

Alex Collins (foot) returned to practice Friday.

Collins always seems to miss a practice here and there for maintenance purposes, but he should be good to go Sunday against Oakland. However, he's not a fantasy start after getting benched for Gus Edwards last week.
Nov 23 - 12:12 PM

Alex Collins was added to the Ravens' injury report on Thursday, missing practice with a foot issue.

Mid-week adds are never good, but they are especially worrisome when they are "DNP" instead of "limited." Collins will need at least a limited session on Friday for a shot at a committee role against the Raiders. Gus Edwards' outlook continues to improve.
Nov 22 - 4:17 PM

Alex Collins rushed seven times for 18 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' Week 11 win over the Bengals.

Collins was completely ineffective outside of his seven-yard scoring run, and the Ravens determined UDFA Gus "The Bus" Edwards showed a hotter early-game hand. Collins touched the ball just once after halftime. Even ahead of a mouth-watering Week 12 date with Oakland, Collins will be very difficult to trust as a flex option. Edwards appears to be the Ravens' new lead back.
Nov 18 - 4:25 PM

Alex Collins turned nine carries into 35 yards and a touchdown while adding a four-yard catch on his lone target Sunday in the Ravens’ Week 9 loss to Pittsburgh.

Collins lucked into a goal-line touchdown after teammate Mark Andrews drew a pass interference flag at the one-yard line. Aside from the touchdown—his fourth in four games—Collins was mostly held in check, though obviously his chances were limited with Baltimore playing from behind in the second half. The 10 touches were Collins' fewest since Week 1 and his workload could be even more diluted once the Ravens finally incorporate trade acquisition Ty Montgomery into their offense. Collins and the struggling Ravens will take a three-game losing skid into next week's bye.
Nov 4 - 4:30 PM

Alex Collins (foot) is active for Week 9 against the Steelers.

There was some concern about Collins' status after he missed Thursday's practice but that went out the window as soon as he returned to full participation on Friday. With Ty Montgomery absent, it will just be Collins, Javorius Allen and Gus Edwards at running back for the Ravens. Collins will be a touchdown-dependent RB2 against Pittsburgh.
Nov 4 - 11:45 AM

Alex Collins (foot) is expected to play in Week 9 against the Steelers.

Collins was a full participant in practice Friday and seems good to go for Sunday. It's still a nightmarish spot since the Ravens will be without starting tackles Ronnie Stanley (ankle, out) and James Hurst (ankle, out) in the team's debut of its new three-headed backfield committee. Note that Collins hadn't played 50% of Baltimore's snaps in any game prior to Ty Montgomery joining the team.
Nov 3 - 4:39 PM

Alex Collins (foot) is questionable for Week 9 against the Steelers.

He should be fine after getting in a full practice on Friday. Collins scored a touchdown when he faced Pittsburgh earlier this year but also lost a fumble in that game. He finds himself squarely on the RB2/3 borderline for Week 9.
Nov 2 - 3:57 PM

Alex Collins (foot) returned to practice Friday.

According to ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley, Collins "looks like he's ready to play" against the Steelers on Sunday. Collins is touchdown-or-bust RB2 facing a Steelers run defense that is No. 3 in fantasy points allowed.
