Sterling Shepard caught both of his targets for 22 yards in the Giants' Week 11 win over the Bucs.
Much like the rest of the Giants' receivers, Shepard wasn't needed on a day that saw Saquon Barkley carry the load for 27/142/2. Odell Beckham actually led with a relatively low four targets. Shepard and Beckham will be called upon in Week 12 against the divisional foe Eagles. Consider Shepard a low-end WR3 in that matchup given that he's still coming off consecutive letdowns in what were actually plus matchups against the Niners and Bucs. Nov 18 - 5:45 PM

Sterling Shepard caught 2-of-3 targets for nine yards and one touchdown in the Giants' Week 10 win over the 49ers, adding 27 yards on his one carry.

If not for the touchdown and the long gain on the ground, it would have been an extremely disappointing night for Shepard in a plum matchup. He was able to somewhat save things by catching the game-winning three-yard score with 53 seconds left to put the Giants up 27-23. Shepard will be a WR3 in another plus spot against the Bucs next week.
Nov 13 - 12:00 AM

Sterling Shepard caught 4-of-8 targets for 34 yards in the Giants' Week 8 loss.

Redskins rookie RCB Greg Stroman knocked a would-be monster gain out of Shepard's hands in the first half, and the Giants' slot receiver was quiet the rest of the way. Shepard's fantasy owners need the Giants to stay with Eli Manning and not turn to rookie Kyle Lauletta during their forthcoming Week 9 bye.
Oct 28 - 5:28 PM

Sterling Shepard caught 5-of-8 targets for 167 yards in the Giants' Week 7 loss to the Falcons.

Shepard had monster gains of 53 and 58 to aid his huge evening against this porous defense. It was Shepard's first 100-yard game of the season and the most of his career after topping 100 yards just four times his first two seasons. Shepard will be a solid if unspectacular WR3 next week against the Skins.
Oct 22 - 11:37 PM

Sterling Shepard caught 3-of-7 targets for 37 yards in the Giants' Week 6 loss to the Eagles.

It was a disappointing night for Shepard in a game where the Giants did not have a legitimate tight end and Eagles slot CB Sidney Jones departed early with an ankle issue. Of course, none of the Giants' pass catchers had much of a chance at a big game with Eli Manning once again lowering the bar under center. Shepard has a better outlook for Week 7, when the G-Men will be taking on the Falcons' injury-ravaged defense on Monday Night Football.
Oct 12 - 12:15 AM

Sterling Shepard contributed four catches for 75 yards on seven targets Sunday in the Giants’ Week 5 loss to the Panthers.

The bulk of his yards (54 of his 75) came with New York trailing in the second half. Shepard was visibly frustrated on Sunday, throwing a trash can in anger during a third-quarter sideline tantrum. It’s just been that kind of year for the Giants, who have now dropped four of five including two straight. Shepard has done his part, however, eclipsing 70 yards in each of his last three contests. He’ll be in play as a WR3 Thursday against the Eagles’ funnel defense.
Oct 7 - 6:25 PM

Sterling Shepard (back) was removed from the Week 5 injury report and will play against the Panthers.

As expected. Shepard's status was never in doubt after he needed to miss practice Wednesday after having a cyst removed from his back. He brings a two-game touchdown streak into Week 5 and will be a WR3 for this one.
Oct 5 - 12:42 PM

Sterling Shepard (back) was officially "full" in Thursday's practice.

Shepard's Week 5 status is no longer in doubt. Shepard took advantage of Eli Manning's check-down tendencies and a plus matchup to post 10/77/1 in Week 4. The Panthers won't be as forgiving. Shepard is a mid-range WR3.
Oct 4 - 3:19 PM

Sterling Shepard (back) appeared to be practicing on Thursday.

We won't know his participation level until the Giants release their injury report later this afternoon, though ESPN's Jordan Raanan noted that Shepard appeared to be practicing "in some capacity." Getting in a limited session Thursday would bode well for his Week 5 status. Shepard will take a two-game touchdown streak into Sunday's matchup with Carolina.
Oct 4 - 1:43 PM

Sterling Shepard (back) did not practice Wednesday.

Shepard had a cyst removed from his back on Tuesday, and coach Pat Shurmur expects him to be back on the practice field Thursday. As of now, the full expectation is Shepard will play Week 5 against the Panthers.
Oct 3 - 11:22 AM

Sterling Shepard caught all 10 targets for 77 yards and one touchdown in the Giants' Week 4 loss to the Saints.

He also nabbed a two-point conversion following a Saquon Barkley touchdown run. Shepard beat CB Ken Crawley with ease on his short touchdown in the first quarter. This was a prime spot for Shepard, and he answered with his best game of September. Shepard has touchdowns in back-to-back games but will find tougher sledding next week on the road against the Panthers.
Sep 30 - 8:01 PM

Sterling Shepard caught 6-of-7 yards for 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Texans.

It's a nice rebound after a down Week 2. The Giants got better pass protection from their offensive line with RT Ereck Flowers benched, allowing Shepard and Odell Beckham to get open. Shepard's touchdown came late on a short seven-yard pass in the fourth quarter. His red-zone role could be expanded if Even Engram misses time with a knee injury. Shepard is a WR3 for Week 4's matchup with the Saints.
Sep 23 - 4:53 PM

Sterling Shepard caught 3-of-5 passes for 24 yards in Week 2 against the Cowboys.

Shepard finished behind Odell Beckham, Evan Engram, and Saquon Barkley in targets. He missed some time this week with a back injury, but it wasn't a factor in his quiet night. Shepard won't be more than a WR4 for next week's game against the Texans.
Sep 16 - 11:51 PM

Sterling Shepard (back) is active for Week 2 against the Cowboys.

Shepard was removed from the injury report Friday, so his status wasn't in doubt. The Giants inactives are LB Olivier Vernon, QB Kyle Lauletta, S Kamrin Moore, CB Michael Jordan, LB Tae Davis, C Evan Brown, and C Spencer Pulley
Sep 16 - 7:05 PM

Sterling Shepard (back) wasn't listed on the Giants' Week 2 injury report.

Shepard was limited Wednesday but practiced fully the last two days. He was held to 48 yards in a tough opening day matchup with Jacksonville. Shepard is our No. 46 receiver play for Week 2.
