Colts have turned down multiple trade offers for QB Jacoby Brissett.
Colts GM Chris Ballard spoke highly of Brissett, mentioning "he’s committed, he’s a great teammate, he’s got juice" and "he holds people accountable." "I love Jacoby," he said. Brissett has two years left on his contract for a total of $1.6 million, which makes it easy for the Colts to keep him as Andrew Luck's backup. Ballard additionally mentioned he would have to be "bowled over" with an offer before parting ways with Brissett. Apr 21 - 10:43 AM

Jacoby Brissett completed 15-of-25 passes for 114 yards and one touchdown in the Colts' Week 17 win over the Texans.

He added five carries for 18 yards. Acquired from the Patriots in exchange for former first-round bust WR Phillip Dorsett at final cuts in September, Brissett started the final 15 games of the season after Andrew Luck never made it back from shoulder surgery. Brissett flashed upside and promise at times but was battered with sacks, taking a league-high 52 of them, with a lot of them being his fault for holding the ball too long. Brissett takes too long to process the field but certainly has talent as a solid No. 2 and spot starter. He finishes the year completing 275-of-469 passes (58.6%) for 3,098 yards (6.61 YPA) and a 13:7 TD:INT mark, adding 260 yards and four touchdowns rushing. Brissett has two years left on his rookie deal and should back up Luck in 2018.

Jacoby Brissett completed 16-of-33 passes for 215 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in the Colts' 23-16, Week 16 loss to the Ravens.

The dual threat added three carries for eight yards. Brissett continued his poor recent play, though the 200-yard passing effort was his first in five games. Brissett's yards per attempt is now down to 6.72, while his completion percentage is 58.7. Routinely holding onto the ball too long and missing easy throws, Brissett has been thoroughly unimpressive for some time now after getting off to a reasonably-promising start this season. The Colts will host the Texans for perhaps the least-watchable game of Week 17.

Jacoby Brissett completed 17-of-30 passes for 158 yards in the Colts' 25-13, Week 15 loss to the Broncos, adding five carries for 18 yards and a touchdown.

Four days after a marathon loss in snowy Buffalo, the Colts, including Brissett, looked dismal and dull on offense. He has few weapons at his disposal, but Brissett couldn't make any big plays. As usual, he was holding onto the ball for too long, though he only took one sack. Brissett is averaging a putrid 4.55 yards per attempt over his past three starts. It's been a "learning experience" year of a few modest peaks and deep, deep valleys for the sophomore signal caller. He'll be off the streaming radar against the Ravens in Week 16.

Jacoby Brissett completed 11-of-22 passes for 69 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against Buffalo.

Brissett couldn't do anything in a heavy snow game. The Colts attempted just two passes in the first half, but were forced to throw late. Brissett's touchdown was a red-zone throw to Jack Doyle from three yards out. He had a two-point conversion called back on a penalty. Brissett has been trending down with under 200 yards in three straight weeks. The Colts play the Broncos in Week 15.

Jacoby Brissett completed 21-of-36 passes for 174 yards, a touchdown, two interceptions and rushed six times for 36 yards in the Colts' Week 13 loss to the Jaguars.

Brissett didn't have his best game in a tough matchup against the Jaguars. He held onto the ball far too long multiple times, resulting in big sacks. Brissett threw two interceptions, with the second being a forced throw over the middle. Brissett remains a QB2 with streaming potential in good matchups.

Jacoby Brissett completed 17-of-29 passes for 196 yards and rushed three times for 16 yards in the Colts' Week 12 loss to the Titans.

He took eight sacks, holding onto the ball too long and staring at the pass rush, which means Brissett wasn't taking any shots downfield. He took T.Y. Hilton down with him, as the Colts' top wideout finished with 15 yards on two catches. Brissett had Hilton open for a first-quarter would-be score, but he didn't pull the trigger. Facing sack-prone Brissett, the Jaguars' defense will arguably be next week's top D/ST fantasy play.

Jacoby Brissett has cleared the concussion protocol and will start Sunday against Tennessee.

This was fully expected after the Colts didn't list Brissett on the injury report. Brissett has been trending up with at least two touchdowns in three straight games. He's one of the top Week 12 streamers against a bottom-five Titans secondary.

Jacoby Brissett (concussion) wasn't listed on the team's final injury report for Week 12 against the Titans.

This would signal that Brissett has cleared the concussion protocol. Brissett gets an enticing matchup Sunday against the Titans, who yielded 40 points in last week's loss to Pittsburgh. That puts him in the streaming conversation for Week 12.

Jacoby Brissett (concussion) is practicing Thursday.

It is not a surprise after he got in a full practice Wednesday, but it is good to see he has not suffered any setbacks. He is fully expected to be cleared before Sunday's game against the Titans.

Jacoby Brissett (concussion) is practicing in full for Week 12 against the Titans.

As of earlier today, Brissett was still in the concussion protocol, though all signs point to him suiting up Sunday versus Tennessee. Only Denver and Houston have allowed more passing touchdowns than the Titans this year. That puts Brissett on the streaming radar for Week 12.

Jacoby Brissett remains in the concussion protocol.

Brissett will be limited in Wednesday's practice and will need to get some contact work Thursday before seeing an independent neurologist later in the week. He should gain clearance ahead of Sunday's divisional tilt with the Titans, where Brissett would be a streaming option on the home turf.
Wed, Nov 22, 2017 12:23:00 PM

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Jacoby Brissett remains in the concussion protocol.

Even so, Pagano went on to say he expects Brissett to be ready to go this week against the Titans. Brissett had been playing pretty well before the injury, and he will be a streaming option in a good matchup if he is cleared.

Jacoby Brissett is in the concussion protocol, and is week to week.

Brissett was evaluated for a concussion after a hit to the head on a second half slide, but was for some reason cleared to return. He was then immediately placed in the protocol after the game. The league still cannot get it right on head injuries. Brissett has two weeks to heal up, as the Colts are on bye for Week 11. They return against the Titans. Scott Tolzien would be the next man up if Brissett can't go.
Sun, Nov 12, 2017 05:12:00 PM

Jacoby Brissett completed 14-of-24 passes for 222 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Colts' 20-17, Week 10 loss to the Steelers.

Brissett's day was sparked by a pair of 60-plus touchdowns in the first half, though he cooled off considerably after the break. He took three sacks and many more hits, at one point meriting a concussion evaluation. Thankfully, he was cleared. Brissett used an excellent pump fake to free Donte Moncrief past Artie Burns on score No. 1, while Chester Rogers did most of the work on score No. 2. His "interception" was batted up into the air by Jack Doyle. Always an upside streamer because of his rushing ability, Brissett will be a nice QB2 when the Colts come off their bye in Week 12 against the Titans.
