Raiders signed CB Daryl Worley, formerly of the Eagles.

Worley was cut by the Eagles after being arrested for DUI, violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, and disorderly conduct fighting on April 15. A 2016 third-round pick of the Panthers, Worley put some promising moments on tape as a rookie but struggled last season and fell into a rotation for snaps.

Free agent CB Daryl Worley has been charged with driving under the influence, a violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, disorderly conduct-fighting, and other related offenses.

Eagles released CB Daryl Worley.

This was expected following Sunday's incident. It has not been specified what charges the 23-year-old is facing. Worley was arrested early Sunday morning after becoming "combative" with Philadelphia police when they showed up to find him passed out inside a vehicle blocking the highway. A gun was also recovered during the arrest. Worley was acquired from Carolina in exchange for Torrey Smith last month and the Eagles save $670,000 in cap space by releasing him.
Apr 15 - 5:40 PM

According to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles are expected to release CB Daryl Worley.

Worley was tasered and later arrested after becoming "combative" with Philadelphia police early Sunday morning. Authorities were called to the scene after the cornerback was found passed out inside a vehicle blocking the highway. This isn't Worley's first run-in with the law following an arrest for misdemeanor assault in college. Per Bowen, it is "likely, though not certain" that Worley will be cut as a result of Sunday's incident and that his fate is being discussed among "various parties." The Eagles also released a statement: "We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning." The 23-year-old was acquired from Carolina in a trade last month.

Eagles acquired CB Daryl Worley from the Panthers in exchange for WR Torrey Smith.

The Eagles did well to get something for Smith, who probably would have been released if this trade hadn't been made. Worley has shown flashes since arriving as a third-round pick in 2016 and gives the Eagles some much-needed depth behind starters Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills. Now that Worley is gone, the Panthers could be in the running for All-Pro Richard Sherman, who was let go by Seattle on Friday.

Panthers rookie CBs Daryl Worley and James Bradberry have been running as the starters even following Bene Benwikere's (leg) return.

Benwikere, presumed to be the Panthers' No. 1 corner, has been working in the slot. It appears set to remain that way indefinitely. "It is a big vote of confidence and we’ll see," coach Ron Rivera said. "To me, what’s going to be real important is how we play in the preseason games." On skill set, Benwikere is best suited for the slot. Worley and Bradberry both offer more size on the boundary.

Panthers selected West Virginia CB Daryl Worley with the No. 77 overall pick in the 2016 draft.

A long-armed (33 3/8") ballhawk, Worley tested out like a safety in Indy, running 4.64 with a 35 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-3 broad jump, before improving his forty time to 4.48 at the Mountaineers' Pro Day. Worley has an intriguing blend of size, movement ability, and ball skills. He'll team with second-rounder James Bradberry to compete to replace Josh Norman.
