Chiefs signed G/C Russ Hochstein to a one-year deal.
Capable of playing both guard and center, Hochstein will provide the Chiefs a nice bit of insurance along the offensive line. A 12-year veteran with 138 lifetime appearances, Hochstein could see snaps as early as Week 4 after C Rodney Hudson left Sunday's loss with a knee injury. Tue, Sep 25, 2012 08:11:00 PM

Cardinals signed G/C Russ Hochstein to a one-year contract.

Hochstein is a versatile backup and a great quote, but he's going on age 35 and doesn't bring much to the table on the field. He shouldn't make Arizona's 53.

Russ Hochstein started over Stanley Daniels at left guard Sunday.

Daniels goes from a starter to inactive. There's not really an upgrade here as Hochstein has been a career backup and is coming off ACL surgery. The Broncos struggled badly to open holes for the running game once again Sunday.

Broncos C/G Russ Hochstein (knee) has been cleared for training camp.

Hochstein tore his ACL on December 27, so his recovery was impressive for a player who'll turn 33 in early October. A versatile backup almost his entire career, he'll push rookies Zane Beadles and J.D. Walton for snaps inside.

Broncos C Russ Hochstein (torn ACL) is expected to be ready for training camp.

Hochstein is the top option at center right now, with only project Dustin Fry as competition. The Broncos are a near lock to address the position in the draft or the final wave of free agency, so it would be an upset if Hochstein began the year as the starter.

Broncos agreed to terms with G/C Russ Hochstein on a two-year contract worth up to $3.5 million.

Hochstein ended last year on injured reserve with a torn ACL, so the Broncos protected themselves with a "if he starts" clause. It's hard to see Hochstein being 100 percent by training camp, much less cracking the first team.

Broncos placed LG Russ Hochstein on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.

Denver has a highly experienced backup in Ben Hamilton, who Hochstein replaced in the starting lineup earlier this year. Hochstein, 32, was acquired just before the seaosn for a seventh-round pick. He's a free agent in March.

Broncos LG Russ Hochstein left Sunday's game with a knee injury and will not return.

Ben Hamilton has come on to take his old job back.

Broncos acquired OL Russ Hochstein from the Patriots in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick in 2010.

Hochstein can play both guard and center and knows coach Josh McDaniels well from their time together in New England. It's surprising Denver gave up a draft pick, though. Hochstein is a career backup and turns 32 in October.

Patriots re-signed G/C Russ Hochstein to a one-year contract.

Hochstein, 31, is a backup at center, guard, and long snapper.

Patriots extended G Russ Hochstein's contract through 2008.

The deal runs an extra two years, including $1.8 million in "new money" and a $400,000 signing bonus. Hochstein has been a valuable player at guard and center since starting during the team's last Super Bowl run.

The Patriots re-signed guard Russ Hochstein to a three-year contract.

Hochstein stepped in capably during the Patriots playoff run. He may be a full-time starter if the team can't keep Damien Woody.
