Marlon Mack (foot, hamstring) remained sidelined Thursday.
Mack's return lasted one game. Barring a return to "full" status on Friday, he is almost certainly going to sit against the Eagles. That makes for a FLEX opportunity for Jordan Wilkins, albeit in a rough matchup. Mack is week to week and a shaky hold on the back-end of fantasy benches. Sep 20 - 1:48 PM

Marlon Mack (foot, hamstring) didn't practice on Wednesday.

It's a concern after Mack missed most of training camp and Week 1 with a nagging hamstring injury. Mack must have picked up the foot injury in Sunday's win at Washington. If Mack can't go against the Eagles in Week 3, it would open up backfield work for Jordan Wilkins as well as fellow rookie Nyheim Hines.

Marlon Mack logged 10 carries for 34 yards while snaring one-of-two targets for two yards Sunday in the Colts’ Week 2 victory over the Redskins.

He led the backfield with nine touches in the first half but ceded most of the second-half carries to rookie Jordan Wilkins. Mack looked healthy in his return from a hamstring injury but was outperformed by Wilkins, who averaged an impressive 6.1 yards per carry. As expected, the Colts’ backfield has devolved into a full-on timeshare between Mack, Wilkins and Nyheim Hines. It’s only going to get messier once goal-line back Robert Turbin returns from his four-game PED suspension. Mack gets the Eagles on the road in Week 3.
Sep 16 - 5:13 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) is active for Week 2 against the Redskins.

Mack will make his season debut Sunday after missing Week 1 with a hamstring pull. He figures to lead the Colts' backfield committee against Washington. With Mack back from injury, Christine Michael was made a healthy scratch for Week 2.

Sep 16 - 11:35 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports there is "optimism" Marlon Mack (questionable, hamstring) will play Week 2 against the Redskins.

Mack should be ready for Sunday after sitting out last week's opener, though he'll test out his injured hammy in warmups to make sure. Look for Mack to lead Indy's backfield committee against the Redskins. His return is a downgrade for Jordan Wilkins, who soaked up a team-leading 17 touches in last week's loss to Cincinnati.
Sep 16 - 8:10 AM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday.

It's the first time Mack has fully practiced since initially straining his hamstring in the preseason. He'll join a jumbled backfield that includes rookie Jordan Wilkins (14-40 in Week 1), Nyheim Hines (5-19 and 7-33 through the air), and Christine Michael (2-9). Despite his boom-or-bust style of running, Mack can take hold of this backfield with a single stellar outing.
Sep 14 - 2:36 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) remained limited at Colts practice Thursday.

Mack has now been limited for an entire week. It remains wholly unclear if he will make his 2018 debut against the Redskins. If he does, he will be an uninspiring RB4 in a timeshare with Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines.
Sep 13 - 4:05 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) remained limited at Wednesday's practice.

Mack tested out his injured hamstring in pre-game warmups last week but was held out against Cincinnati. It would be nice to see him get in a full practice at some point, but right now, Mack looks better than 50 percent to play Sunday at Washington. His return would be a downgrade for Jordan Wilkins, who led the backfield with 17 touches in Week 1.
Sep 12 - 6:11 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) is inactive for Week 1.

The Colts will use some combination of Jordan Wilkins, Christine Michael, and Nyheim Hines at running back against the Bengals. Mack's late-week return to practice does suggest he should have a chance to return for Week 2.
Sep 9 - 11:40 AM

Marlon Mack will test out his injured hamstring in pre-game warmups prior to Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Bengals.

As will teammate Anthony Castonzo. Mack and Castonzo appear to be game-time decisions, though the tea leaves suggest neither will play as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport implied both will need to show "significant improvement" to get the green light. Fifth-round rookie Jordan Wilkins would be the likely starter if Mack can't go.
Sep 9 - 8:20 AM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) is questionable for Week 1 against the Bengals.

Mack has practiced on a limited basis the past two days following a nearly month-long absence. We'd still put his odds of playing at less than 50 percent, though a decision on his status could go down to the wire. The Colts are playing the early slate Sunday, so fantasy owners will have plenty of time to adjust their lineups. If Mack sits, it would be an upgrade for rookie Jordan Wilkins, who would likely draw the start at running back.

Sep 7 - 3:52 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) is practicing on Friday.

Mack was absent on Wednesday but returned to a limited session Thursday in a bit of a surprise. Colts beat writers didn't expect Mack to play earlier in the week, but he looks legitimately questionable to face the Bengals. Mack, of course, has been out for weeks, so his workload wouldn't be very expansive. But his return would knock all the Colts backs out of play.
Sep 7 - 12:01 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday.

He hadn't practiced in almost a month. Despite his improvement, Mack remains a long shot for Sunday's opener against the Bengals. Fifth-round rookie Jordan Wilkins figures to start in Week 1, though his starting tenure may be a short one with Mack on the mend. With so many moving parts to keep track of, it's probably best to avoid Indy's backfield for fantasy purposes.
Sep 6 - 1:17 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Beat writer Stephen Holder "would be surprised if he comes close to playing" Week 1 against the Bengals. It's likely going to be the Jordan Wilkins-Christine Michael show in the backfield against Geno Atkins and friends.
Sep 5 - 12:04 PM

Marlon Mack (hamstring) did not practice Monday.

It is not a promising start to the week for Indy's assumed starter. With Mack looking seriously questionable, Jordan Wilkins needs to be added in all leagues.
