Dede Westbrook caught 1-of-3 targets for 29 yards in the Jaguars' AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots.
A 2016 Heisman Trophy finalist at Oklahoma who flashed 4.39 wheels at the Sooners' Pro Day, 6-foot-0 Westbrook dropped to the fourth round because of concerns about his attitude and commitment. He had an elite preseason — 13/288/2 — but spent the first 10 weeks of the season on injured reserve after undergoing core muscle surgery. Westbrook made some big plays upon his return, but was out-shined by UDFA Keelan Cole. Not that Westbrook disappointed. With Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee both headed to free agency, Westbrook could have a big 2018 role. He's a strong hold in Dynasty leagues. Jan 21 - 7:02 PM

Dede Westbrook caught 1-of-3 targets for eight yards in the Jaguars' Divisional Round win over the Steelers.

Ten different Jaguars caught passes in this game, but no individual Jag topped three catches as Blake Bortles spread the ball around. Despite playing the most snaps in Jacksonville’s wideout corps, Westbrook was largely a non-factor in a run-heavy game; the Jags finished with 35 rushing attempts compared to 26 passes. The Jags will likely need more from Westbrook when they visit Foxboro in the AFC Championship game.

Dede Westbrook caught 5-of-8 targets for 48 yards in the Jaguars' Wild Card win over the Bills.

Westbrook was the Jaguars' leading receiver on a day where Blake Bortles could muster just 87 yards. Things aren't going to get any easier against the Steelers in the Divisional Round.

Dede Westbrook caught just 1-of-9 targets for nine yards in the Jaguars' Week 17 loss to the Titans.

It was that kind of game for the Jags; Leonard Fournette led the team in receiving yards with 67 as Blake Bortles threw for just 158 yards. The good news is Westbrook remained heavily involved, leading the team in targets. The bad news is he did so little with them, and his Week 18 matchup will be difficult against Buffalo's stout pass defense in the Wild Card Round.

Dede Westbrook caught 4-of-7 targets for 74 yards in the Jaguars' Week 16 loss to the 49ers.

Westbrook very nearly scored a second-half touchdown, but the Jaguars did not review the play after officials ruled him down at the one-yard line, and Leonard Fournette punched it in a play later. Westbrook was out-targeted 13 to 7 by Keelan Cole after Cole out-targeted him in Week 15, as well. For as long as Marqise Lee (ankle) is sidelined, Westbrook will be the Jaguars' primary perimeter threat with Cole working more inside the numbers.

Dede Westbrook caught 2-of-2 targets for 21 yards in the Jaguars' Week 15 win over the Texans.

Whereas Jaydon Mickens and Keelan Cole both went off after Marqise Lee’s (ankle) early exit, Westbrook dudded but helped his teammates. He drew a first-half pass-interference flag and another first-half holding penalty in the end zone, both of which turned into touchdowns for the Jags. Expect Westbrook to bounce back in Week 16 against the 49ers. With Lee seemingly unlikely to return anytime soon, Westbrook should close out the season as the Jaguars’ No. 1 wideout.

Dede Westbrook caught 5-of-8 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Seahawks.

Westbrook's first NFL touchdown came on an 18-yard corner route to the right side of the field in which he split zone coverage. His eight targets led the team, the second time in three weeks that Westbrook has led the team in target opportunity. Westbrook's receiving yardage has now risen in each of his four games since being activated in Week 11 and he's had at least five receptions in each of his past three games. Westbrook will be on the table as a startable option in Week 15 against a Texans defense that has struggled to cover opposing wideouts on the season.

Dede Westbrook caught 6-of-9 targets for 78 yards in the Jaguars' Week 13 win over the Colts.

Westbrook was second in the team in targets, only behind WR Marqise Lee. Westbrook has now seen 25 targets over the last three games and is carving out a nice role for himself. He caught a lot of short and intermediate passes, turning them into bigger gains. Westbrook will be borderline WR3 against Seattle in Week 14.

Dede Westbrook caught 6-of-10 targets for 41 yards in the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to the Cardinals.

The 10 targets led the team, and Westbrook has now seen 16 targets total in the two games he's been active since coming off I.R. The 10 looks on Sunday may be a bit skewed, however, as Marqise Lee was engulfed in Patrick Peterson's coverage much of the afternoon. Still, Westbrook's eight targets per game average through two contests is putting him on the radar. He could be a breakout candidate at home in Week 13 against a putrid Colts pass defense.

Dede Westbrook caught 3-of-6 targets for 35 yards in the Jaguars' Week 11 win over the Browns.

Westbrook had a fourth catch on a sensational sideline toe-tapper, but the replay review crew inexplicably said it wasn't a grab. Westbrook also fumbled near the end of the second quarter, but the ball squibbed out of bounds. Per Pro Football Focus, Westbrook was out-snapped 45-34 by Keelan Cole. All in all, it was a positive, if low-key, NFL debut, but not one that suggested Westbrook is about to provide re-draft value.

Jaguars activated Dede Westbrook (core muscle surgery) from injured reserve.

This was expected with Allen Hurns out with an ankle injury. Westbrook is not expected to play a big role in his first career game, although the receiver predicted he will get 200 yards against the Browns. We will take the under. Westbrook is worth stashing in all leagues, but he is just a desperation fantasy option this week.

According to ESPN Jaguars reporter Michael DiRocco, Dede Westbrook (I.R., core muscle surgery) will not be a "big part of the team's game plan" if he plays against the Browns in Week 11.

Westbrook is tentatively expected to make his NFL debut on Sunday following a lengthy recovery from core muscle surgery. Even with Allen Hurns (ankle) sidelined, it sounds like the Jaguars plan to limit Westbrook's workload, at least initially. The rookie flashed impressive speed and playmaking ability during the preseason but sometimes struggled against press coverage. Regardless, he needs to be added in all formats.

Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said Dede Westbrook is ready to return from injured reserve this week.

Westbrook has been eligible to return for two weeks, but the Jaguars have been taking things slowly with the rookie. That is no longer an option with Allen Hurns (ankle) sidelined. While Westbrook should be activated at some point this week, it would not be surprising if he played a limited role in his first NFL game.

Dede Westbrook (core muscle surgery, IR) won't be activated for Week 10.

It's the second straight week he'll remain on IR. Westbrook has been setback-free in practice but the Jaguars don't want to rush him back. Marqise Lee (questionable, knee), Allen Hurns and Keelan Cole will continue to play in three-wide sets. Westbrook should have a good chance to return in Week 11.

Jaguars coach Doug Marrone says he hasn't decided if Dede Westbrook (core muscle surgery) will be activated this week.

"We’re waiting for him to be ready at the level where we think he can help us. A lot of it is up to how he does in practice." Westbrook is healthy, but Jacksonville wants him to get more scheme acclimated before activating him. That could happen this week depending on how he practices. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Westbrook is expected to return Sunday against the Chargers.
