Bengals released TE Donald Lee.

Battling a September thigh injury, Lee had yet to play a snap this season. The 32-year-old caught 11 passes for 115 yards as Jermaine Gresham's backup a year ago. Those duties now fall to rookie Orson Charles.

Bengals re-signed TE Donald Lee.

Lee caught 11 passes for 115 yards as an injury fill-in and second blocker in two-tight end sets last season. Turning 32 this summer, Lee will compete with Colin Cochart for the No. 2 tight end job.

Donald Lee started for injured Jermaine Gresham (hamstring) in Week 9, totaling three catches for 49 yards.

He surprised with a few nifty moves and would have had a fourth catch if not for a defensive pass interference call. If Gresham misses more time, Lee will be worth a look as a low-end TE2 but nothing more.

Donald Lee caught three passes for 44 yards in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.

With Jermaine Gresham (hamstring) a late scratch, Lee was the primary pass-catching tight end. The 31-year-old ex-Packer showed surprising speed on a 26-yard seam route in the second half, but saw just three targets. Even if Gresham's hamstring issue lingers, Lee won't be a fantasy option.

Bengals declared TE Donald Lee, G Otis Hudson, DE Robert Geathers, LB Dontay Moch, S Robert Sands, S Taylor Mays and WR Ryan Whalen inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

The Bengals have a huge edge in this one as the Broncos are missing five front-line players due to injury. Meanwhile, Cincy is very healthy and has no surprises on their inactive list.

Bengals signed TE Donald Lee.

Lee will serve as a blocking tight end that can help mentor young talent Jermaine Gresham. He essentially replaces Bo Scaife, who was lost for the season prior to Week 1 due to a shoulder injury.

Eagles released TE Donald Lee.

Lee showed well in preseason action, finishing third on the team with nine catches for 92 yards. The Eagles will go with only Brent Celek and Clay Harbor at tight end. Now 31, Lee has lost his after-the-catch ability.

Eagles agreed to terms with TE Donald Lee on a one-year contract.

Lee managed just 11 catches in Green Bay last season, failing to seize the job when Jermichael Finley went down. His after-the-catch ability has vanished at age 31, as evidenced by three straight seasons under 8.0 yards per reception. He won't be guaranteed a roster spot in Philly.

Packers released TE Donald Lee.

Lee, who turns 31 before the season, was going to be buried on the depth chart with Jermichael Finley returning, and Tom Crabtree and Andrew Quarless already having passed him. Lee's salary would've been $2.2 million. He caught 11 balls for 73 yards last year, averaging a career-low 6.6 yards per catch.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel expects Donald Lee to be released this offseason.

Lee is set to make $2.2 million in 2011, the final year of his contract. Considering he couldn't hold off Andrew Quarless or Tom Crabtree after Jermichael Finley went down, that's too much money. Lee will be 31 in August and his best days are far behind him.

Packers TE Donald Lee was a healthy scratch in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.

Lee, in his eighth season, has apparently fallen behind Andrew Quarless, Spencer Havner and Tom Crabtree. He hasn't contributed in the passing game since Jermichael Finley (knee) went down and is an inferior blocker. However, he could be "up" next week as Havner aggravated a hamstring injury.

Packers declared TE Donald Lee inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Lee may have popped up with an injury in the pregame as we have no previous word of an ailment. He also may be a healthy scratch. Either way, Andrew Quarless will draw the start at tight end. T Chad Clifton (knee) is a go. Packers other inactives: RB James Starks, T Marshall Newhouse, G Nick McDonald, DE Jarius Wynn, LB Diyral Briggs, S Anthony Smith and S Atari Bigby.

Packers TE Donald Lee (probable chest) practiced fully again Friday and is expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins.

Primarily a blocker, Lee will do more to make rookie Andrew Quarless an unattractive fantasy option in Week 6 than emerge as a viable starter himself.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy is optimistic about TE Donald Lee (chest) playing this week after he returned to practice on Thursday.

"He went out there and practiced, and that was a nice surprise," McCarthy said. "That was one player that was going in the right direction. It was good to see that." If Lee suits up on Sunday, rookie Andrew Quarless won't be as attractive as a TE2 option.
