Despite earlier reports to the contrary, Tarik Glenn has not been placed on the reserve/retired list yet.
He is expected to be placed on the list before Sunday so that Indianapolis can receive a roster exemption. Glenn, however, isn't expected to file his retirement papers immediatley, leaving the door ever-so-slightly ajar for a return. The retirement, GM Bill Polian said, "is not irrevocable." Colts placed LT Tarik Glenn on the reserve/retired list.

Despite speculation the 31-year-old wanted more money, he's done. Charlie Johnson is the leading candidate to replace him, but will face competition from athletic second-round pick Tony Ugoh. It's a huge blow to the Colts, but some around the game believed Glenn was slightly overrated in later years. Peyton Manning makes his pass protection look better than it is.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Tarik Glenn has not yet retired.

Glenn will meet with the Colts later this week before making a final decision. Though it appears he won't be returning, the door isn't yet completely shut.

Tarik Glenn informed the Colts that he will retire.

Glenn "feels burned out," according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Only 31, Glenn played ten seasons in the league and was three times a Pro Bowler. He'll likely either be replaced by second-year man Charlie Johnson or raw rookie second-rounder Tony Ugoh. Neither is likely to be the consistent pass-protecting presence Glenn was on Peyton Manning's blind side.

Tarik Glenn will retire before the season, according to multiple reports.

Glenn has reportedly already informed several of his teammates about his plans to call it quits. The Indianapolis Star says he plans to do it, although it could be a cash grab, as the Colts' left tackle is entering the final year of his contract. Indianapolis used its second-round pick on Tony Ugoh, so the team may have seen this coming and been compelled to prepare.

Colts LT Tarik Glenn missed a play in the fourth quarter of tonight's game against the Eagles.

He was slow to get up after being pushed over a pile, but quickly returned. Backup lineman Dylan Gandy came into the game while the rest of the offensive line was shuffled; Glenn's return was beneficial to a team that is already without starting RT Ryan Diem.

Colts LT Tarik Glenn is believed to be a possible salary cap cut.

It would be a surprise, but the face he's even mentioned means the Colts have identified left tackle as a problem area. Running back Dominic Rhodes and cornerback Nick Harper are also possible cuts.

Colts T Tarik Glenn returned to practice after missing a week because he was overweight.

The Colts set a weight limit for the veteran left tackle and he wasn't able to get under until now. Peyton Manning owners can't be pumped that is protection is getting lazy.

Colts LT Tarik Glenn will not be allowed to practice until he makes weight.

Glenn has anchored the Colts line for years, but began gaining weight after a knee injury last season. It shouldn't be a major concern.
