Jerricho Cotchery is a candidate to be released.
Cotchery is entering the final year of his deal and is due a meager $1 million salary, but the Steelers could be looking to get younger at the position. In his two seasons with Pittsburgh, the soon-to-be 31-year-old has reeled in just 33 passes for 442 yards and two touchdowns. He's mainly been a No. 4 receiver. Feb 21 - 10:47 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (ribs) is expected to return for Week 14.

Cotchery hasn't played since sustaining multiple rib fractures in Week 11, but is practicing in full. He'll slide back in as the No. 4 wideout behind Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders.

Jerricho Cotchery (ribs) returned to Steelers practice Wednesday, getting in a limited session.

Cotchery is less than two weeks removed from suffering multiple rib fractures, but this puts him on track to suit up against the Ravens. With Antonio Brown (ankle) back in the fold, Cotchery will be no better than fourth on the depth chart.

Jerricho Cotchery is out indefinitely with multiple rib fractures.

Cotchery got blown up on the sideline by Bernard Pollard at the tail end of Sunday night's loss to the Ravens. The Steelers are currently scouring the street for wideout help and could end up bringing back Plaxico Burress.

Jerricho Cotchery caught two passes for 22 yards before being shaken up on the final drive of Pittsburgh's Week 11 loss to the Ravens.

Cotchery took a crushing blow from Ravens S Bernard Pollard with 0:22 remaining. It's unclear if he'll be ready for the upcoming week. Cotchery has 11 catches for 136 yards through 10 games.

Jerricho Cotchery caught just one pass on four targets in Week 10 against the Chiefs.

Cotchery saw an uptick in playing time with Antonio Brown (ankle) out, but it didn't result in any more production. He'll work as the No. 3 receiver for as long as Brown misses, but he isn't a fantasy option outside of extremely deep leagues.

Jerricho Cotchery is expected to act as the No. 3 wideout in Monday's game against the Chiefs.

Prior to Week 9, Cotchery had just four catches all season as the No. 4 wideout. But after Antonio Brown (ankle) went down against the Giants, he stepped in seamlessly. Cotchery recorded four catches for 50 yards on four targets. Emmanuel Sanders played more snaps, but had just two catches on two targets. The lead-footed Cotchery is on the radar for extreme deep-leaguers as a desperation plug-n-play this week. Just don't expect any big plays.

Jerricho Cotchery has been running as the No. 3 wideout at Steelers camp.

With Mike Wallace out of the mix, the Steelers are using Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders out wide and Cotchery in the slot. But even if Wallace's holdout extends to the regular season, Cotchery is a low-upside option. He's lacking burst at age 30.

Steelers agreed to terms with WR Jerricho Cotchery on a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old Cotchery drew interest from the Rams, Chiefs, and Jets in free agency, but he's returning to Pittsburgh to compete for third receiver duties. Cotchery appeared in 13 games with the Steelers last season, working mostly in the slot and hauling in 16 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. He'll battle oft-injured Emmanuel Sanders to retain that role.

The Rams will host Jerricho Cotchery for a free agent visit next week.

The visit will begin on Tuesday, per the New York Daily News. Cotchery, 30 in June, would be another possession receiver to go along with Danny Amendola and Steve Smith. He is familiar with new Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer.

The Steelers hope to re-sign free agent Jerricho Cotchery.

"It's not like (Cotchery is) looking to leave," GM Kevin Colbert said. "I think he'll leave if it's best for him and his family, but I think deep down he wants to stay." Cotchery visited the Chiefs and drew a look from the Jets, but has otherwise been greeted by an expectedly soft market. Provided Pittsburgh holds onto Mike Wallace, Cotchery would be returning as a No. 4 receiver.

GM Mike Tannenbaum says the Jets aren't currently interested in signing free agent Jerricho Cotchery.

"Nothing is on the horizon," Tannenbaum said Tuesday. The Jets "expressed interest" in a reunion with Cotchery last week, but their interest has "waned."

Free agent Jerricho Cotchery will visit the Chiefs on Monday.

We knew the Chiefs had "significant interest" in the veteran chain mover, but he had yet to schedule a visit. If Cotchery can't come to terms in Kansas City, his former Jets will be the leader in the clubhouse for his services.

The New York Daily News reports the Chiefs have "significant interest" in free agent Jerricho Cotchery.

Cotchery would be no higher than fourth on the depth chart in Kansas City. The Jets have also expressed interest in bringing back Cotchery, but he isn't yet known to have scheduled any visits.

The New York Daily News reports the Jets have "expressed interest" in a reunion with free agent Jerricho Cotchery.

Cut by the Jets last August, Cotchery posted a 16/237/2 line in 13 games for the Steelers last season. Even taking into account the sorry state of the Jets' receiver corps, Cotchery would be little more than a depth signing.
