Jerricho Cotchery caught 3-of-8 targets for 21 yards in the Panthers' Week 7 loss to the Packers.
A brutally inefficient day, but it wasn't Cotchery's fault. The Panthers simply never got into rhythm on offense. Cotchery has yet to score this season, severely under-cutting his WR4/5 floor. Oct 19 - 6:45 PM

Date:

Jerricho Cotchery caught four passes for 58 yards in the Panthers' Week 6 tie with the Bengals.

Cotchery was targeted 10 times on the day, finishing second on the team behind Greg Olsen. His biggest play was one he couldn't capitalize on. Cam Newton threw a perfect pass to Cotchery in the end zone in overtime, but it went through Cotchery's hands in the eventual tie. Cotchery is a low-upside WR4.
Oct 12 - 5:41 PM

Jerricho Cotchery caught 5-of-7 passes for 80 yards in the Panthers' Week 4 loss to the Ravens.

Cotchery was a safety valve for Cam Newton, also reeling in a 26-yard catch down the sideline on Carolina's first snap of the game. When healthy -- Cotchery was not last week -- his usual range of reception outcomes will fall between four and six. He's a low-upside WR4 in fantasy leagues, but owners could do worse than Cotchery in bye-week crunches entering Week 5 against the Bears.
Sep 28 - 4:53 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) is probable for Week 4 against the Ravens.

Cotchery will return to his role as the starter opposite Kelvin Benjamin. He doesn't see enough targets to warrant consideration as much more than a WR5/6.
Sep 26 - 1:02 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 4.

He'll be ready for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Cotchery's return should be a nice boost for Cam Newton, who struggled for weapons in last week's loss to the Steelers.
Sep 25 - 6:27 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) returned to Panthers practice Wednesday.

Cotchery sat out last week's game against the Steelers with a pulled hammy. It appears he'll be good to go as a WR5/6 this week against the Ravens.
Sep 24 - 12:57 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday night's Week 3 game against the Steelers.

Cotchery wasn't able to practice at all this week. Jason Avant (thigh) is active, but Cam Newton projects to rely very heavily on Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen.
Sep 21 - 7:16 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for Week 3.

Cotchery didn't practice on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Jason Avant (thigh) is also questionable to play in Sunday night's game against the Steelers, leaving Kelvin Benjamin as a lock for 10-plus targets. Brenton Bersin could see time opposite Benjamin if one of Cotchery or Avant sits, with Philly Brown playing in sub packages.
Sep 20 - 4:08 PM

Coach Ron Rivera said he's concerned with Jerricho Cotchery's (hamstring) status for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Steelers.

Cotchery did not practice Friday and will be reevaluated Saturday. If he can't go, we can expect Kelvin Benjamin to get another 2-3 targets. Benjamin was already a strong Week 3 play as he'll see a lot of burnable Steelers CB Ike Taylor.

Jerricho Cotchery (thigh) is questionable for Week 3 against the Steelers.

Cotchery should only be in consideration for fantasy lineups in the deepest of leagues.
Sep 19 - 1:08 PM

Jerricho Cotchery (thigh) was downgraded to did not practice Friday.

Cotchery was added to the injury report Thursday after tweaking his thigh. His status for Week 3 against the Steelers is in question. If he can't play, Cam Newton will lean on Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen more in the red zone.
Sep 19 - 11:52 AM

Jerricho Cotchery was added to the Panthers' injury report Thursday, getting in a limited session with a thigh issue.

Cotchery likely tweaked his thigh in Thursday's practice. It shouldn't hold him out for Week 3, where he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR5, as usual.
Sep 18 - 6:55 PM

Jerricho Cotchery caught 4-of-4 targets for 46 yards in the Panthers' Week 2 win over the Lions.

Cotchery has now efficiently secured all eight of his targets on the season, although he has only 78 receiving yards. Cotchery did convert a two-point conversion in Sunday's victory. He's a low-upside WR4/5 in fantasy leagues.
Sep 14 - 5:52 PM

Jerricho Cotchery caught 4-of-4 targets for 32 yards in the Panthers' Week 1 win over Tampa Bay.

Cotchery was efficient, which is his calling card. He worked in two-receiver sets across from Kelvin Benjamin, but both Benjamin and Greg Olsen had a lot more plays called for them. Cotchery is a low-upside WR4/5 in fantasy leagues. We wouldn't anticipate Cotchery becoming usable in fantasy lineups until owners encounter pretty severe bye-week crunches.
Sep 7 - 7:30 PM

Panthers WR Jerricho Cotchery was held without a catch in the Panthers' third preseason game.

Cotchery has only one grab this preseason despite playing all three of the Panthers' games. Kelvin Benjamin is clearly the No. 1 wide out in Carolina, and Cotchery is likely behind Greg Olsen in the pecking order as well. Cotchery's red-zone ability gives him weekly upside, but he will be hard to trust as a week-to-week contributor.
