The Chiefs will open training camp with Adrian Jones as their starting right guard and Rudy Niswanger at center.

No love for Herb Taylor. Jones hasn't started since 2005 and Niswanger has never been more than a special teams blocker. Larry Johnson is a natural inside runner, but seems likely to struggle to find consistent holes in 2008.

Chiefs claimed OT Adrian Jones off waivers from the Jets.

Jones, a former fourth-round pick from Kansas when the Jayhawks were far from a powerhouse, adds depth at right tackle. The Chiefs inherit his contract, which only had one year left on it. He'll be a free agent in March.

Jets tackle Adrian Jones was among the team's Week 12 inactives after reportedly being arrested for DUI early Saturday morning.

Jones, a third-year player who lost his starting right tackle job to Anthony Clement in training camp, was reportedly fined $20,000 by the club.
