Broncos declared FS Marlon McCree, CB Jack Williams, RB Alex Haynes, FB Andrew Pinnock, LB Niko Koutouvides, G Pat Murray, TE Chad Mustard and DE Jarvis Moss inactive for Week 17.

McCree has battled an ankle injury for much of the season and is thus inactive. Other than that, the Broncos are mostly healthy. They are visiting the Chargers in San Diego with the AFC West title on the line.

Broncos FS Marlon McCree has returned for the Broncos and is expected to play this week.

McCree had been out with an ankle injury since early November. The Broncos cut two safeties this week, Herana-Daze Jones and Calvin Lowry, partly in anticipation of having McCree back.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that Marlon McCree suffered a high-ankle sprain Sunday and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

The hits just keep coming for an already ineffective Broncos defense that is now completely ravaged by injuries. Brady Quinn couldn't ask for an easier debut assignment Thursday night.

Broncos FS Marlon McCree suffered a sprained ankle in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 9 loss to the Dolphins and will undergo an MRI Monday.

McCree said he got "cut-blocked" while trying to chase down Ronnie Brown and probably won't be ready for Thursday night's game in Cleveland. D.J. Williams was injured on the same play.

McCree laid on the ground for several minutes after leading with his helmet on a tackle, but returned just five plays later. He should be fine for Week 5.

McCree went low to make a helmet-first tackle and stayed down for several minutes, but was able to walk off the field under his own power.

McCree was cut by San Diego in February because he's a liability in coverage, not unlike the man he's replacing: John Lynch. The Broncos may have two big names at corner, but threaten to be a strong fantasy matchup again this year.

Broncos agreed to terms with safety Marlon McCree on an undisclosed contract.

He'll compete with John Lynch for a starting job. While Lynch has seniority, McCree is a bit younger and should wind up getting plenty of snaps.

Free Agent S Marlon McCree has narrowed down his possible destinations to Buffalo and Denver.

McCree was coached by Buffalo's defensive coordinator Perry Fewell in Jacksonville, and said that their relationship made Buffalo a more enticing destination than Cincinnati, a team he met with but has ruled out. McCree is meeting with Denver on Wednesday.
