Seahawks signed DE Patrick Chukwurah.
He's taking DE Chris Clemons' (torn ACL) roster spot. It's another unorthodox signing for GM John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll, as Chukwurah has been out of the league since 2008. The 2001 fifth-round pick shined in the UFL, however. Chukwurah should be little more than a feel-good story during the Seahawks' playoff run, as he's extremely unlikely to play more than a handful of snaps on defense. Jan 8 - 9:33 PM

Buccaneers re-signed DE Patrick Chukwurah.

Chukwurah will add insurance for the defensive line until Chris Hovan, Jovan Haye, and Gaines Adams get back to full health.

Bucs re-signed DE Patrick Chukwurah to a one-year contract.

Chuk will compete on special teams and be used as a nickel rusher if Greg White continues to struggle there. White was unproductive in the preseason.

Bucs released DL Patrick Chukwurah, TE Keith Heinrich, DL Marquies Gunn, and LB Leon Joe.

Chukwarah played well in a situational role for Denver in 2006, got a decent contract, then fell out of favor. Heinrich was stuck at a deep position.

Bucs reserve DE Patrick Chukwurah (hamstring) may be "out of the lineup for some time".

The Bucs depth at defensive line has been a key to their success this season so any loss for the playoff push has some significance, but they should DE Greg Spires (calf), back this week.

Bucs DE Patrick Chukwurah returned to a full practice Friday after missing the first two games of the season with a sprained knee.

Chukwurah won the job as Tampa Bay's starting right end before the injury. Greg Spires is likely to hold onto that job as Chukwurah gets back to 100%.

Bucs DE Patrick Chukwurah (knee) has been ruled out for Week 2.

Greg Spires, who made four tackles and a sack against Seattle left tackle Walter Jones in the opener, will continue to start at right end for Tampa.

LB Patrick Chukwurah (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1.

Chukwurah's injury makes it easier for first-round pick Gaines Adams to rack up significant playing time.

Bucs DE Patrick Chukwurah is "week-to-week" with a knee injury.

The Bucs signed Chukwurah to help on passing downs and play special teams, but he was seeing a lot of time at right defensive end of late. First-round pick Gaines Adams should now replace him and be a starter all year.

Bucs agreed to terms with DE Patrick Chukwurah to a five-year, $5.5 million contract.

This likely means Dewayne White won't be back, and could land in Detroit with former line coach Rod Marinelli. Chukwurah, who had five sacks last year but is mostly a special teamer, gives the Bucs another undersized defensive end. Their LBs and safeties must tackle better this season.

The Bucs reportedly already have a deal in place with former Broncos DE/LB Patrick Chukwurah.

He's a great special teamer and can provide depth off the bench as a pass rusher. He'll probably play end in Tampa. Chukwarah won't visit Tampa until March 6 because he's attending former teammate Damien Nash's funeral.

Free agent LB/DE Patrick Chukwurah may reportedly land in Tampa Bay.

Chukwurah is only 27, had five sacks in 2006, and plays special teams. Ex-Broncos defensive coordinator Larry Coyer is now a Bucs assistant.

The Broncos are not expected to retain free agent DE Patrick Chukwurah.

Chukwurah, only 27 and coming off a five-sack season, could interest 3-4 teams in search of a modestly capable pass-rushing outside linebacker.

Broncos DE Patrick Chukwurah rounded out a host of Denver injuries with a strained hamstring.

It doesn't have much fantasy impact, but he was one of eight Broncos defenders to go down.
