Putzier is a name from back in an earlier stint with the Broncos in 2005. He's unlikely to garner much interest around the league. The Broncos also cut seventh-round rookie C Blake Schlueter, WR C.J. Jones and P Britton Colquitt. Tue, Sep 1, 2009 01:58:00 PM

Seahawks released TE Jeb Putzier and signed S Jamar Adams from the practice squad.

The one-time Bronco topped 450 receiving yards in in 2004 and 2005, but his career is just about through after getting cut by Houston and Seattle. This indicates backup TE Will Heller is likely healthy. Adams is an undrafted free agent from Michigan.

Seahawks signed free agent TE Jeb Putzier to a one-year contract.'s Adam Caplan reports the deal is for $645,000.

Putzier was released by the Texans last month after falling by the wayside over the last two years. With Will Heller as the No. 2 guy in Seattle, Putzier is expected to replace Bennie Joppru. The team's starting tight end will likely come from April's draft.

Texans released TE Jeb Putzier.

The move doesn't save much against the cap, but Putzier was just taking up roster space as a fourth-stringer. Putzier is athletic and young enough to get a look elsewhere, but his chances for fantasy relevance are over.
Tue, Feb 19, 2008 05:44:00 PM's Adam Caplan reports that the Texans will release TE Jeb Putzier.

Putzier has been a disappointment since coming with Gary Kubiak from Denver, catching only 19 passes in two seasons. Seattle, Cincinnati, and the Jets all showed interest in Putzier last time he was a free agent, but his stock is down now.

Jeb Putzier fractured his foot in pre-game warmups Sunday.

We're searching for an explanation on this one. Putzier, who finished the season with 13 catches for 125 yards and no scores, is not a lock to be a Texan in 2007. If he does return, he'll be a backup to Owen Daniels.

Texans declared TE Jeb Putzier, WR David Anderson, RB Samkon Gado, LB Kailee Wong, LB Charlie Anderson, C Drew Hodgdon, T Scott Jackson, T Brad Bedell, and DT Thomas Johnson inactive for Week 9.

Putzier was not on the Week 9 injury report. He appears to be the team's third tight end, behind Owen Daniels and Mark Breuner. Ron Dayne is active. Dexter Wynn will be Houston's punt returner.

Jeb Putzier (foot) is not expected to play until Week 9.

Rookie starter Owen Daniels, who has reached the end zone three times so far this season, is a decent bye-week option in non-PPR leagues.
