The Denver defense will welcome the return of CB Aqib Talib (back) and DE Derek Wolfe (elbow) on Sunday when the Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs.
"It’s almost like sticking Michael Jackson, Prince, John Legend, sticking everybody in a rock band and telling them to sing," outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware said on Friday. The Denver defense is finally getting healthy, and fantasy owners of the Broncos D/ST should expect healthy point totals down the stretch. The Broncos D/ST will be a safe top-10 fantasy option at home against Kansas City in Week 12 and will feast on Jacksonville and QB Blake Bortles in Week 13. Nov 26 - 5:23 PM

Denver's defense will be short on cornerbacks in Week 9 as CB Kayvon Webster (hamstring) has been ruled out.

Webster's absence is in addition to the loss of CB Aqib Talib (back) and will test the depth of the Denver secondary. CB Bradley Roby is expected to start on Sunday at Oakland, and CB Taurean Nixon has been promoted from the practice squad as a result of the injuries. The Broncos D/ST will still be a top-10 fantasy option in Week 9, but may have more trouble in pass defense than normal.

Denver LB DeMarcus Ware (arm) took part in on-field drills on Wednesday for the first time since fracturing his forearm in Week 2.

Ware was limited in Thursday's practice and although the linebacker is unlikely to play this week, a Week 9 return looks possible. Even without the services of Ware for the last five weeks, the Denver defense leads the NFL with 22 sacks and will continue to roll upon his return. The Broncos D/ST is weekly starting fantasy option and will face San Diego in Week 8.
Oct 27 - 7:04 PM

Denver allowed a combined 286 yards to Atlanta running backs in Week 5.

The Atlanta Falcons utilized both Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman in matchups against Denver's linebackers and had considerable success. The Broncos did manage to shut down Julio Jones, but still turned in their worst defensive performance of the 2016 season. The Broncos D/ST will look to bounce back in a Thursday night road matchup at San Diego, where the group will be a startable fantasy option.
Oct 13 - 12:04 PM

The Denver defense has recorded at least three sacks in each game this season.

The Broncos wrapped up Cincinnati's Andy Dalton four times in Week 3 despite the Bengals attempting to limit the impact of the Denver pass rush. "They were committed to the run, chipping us and doing those type of things. But then at the end of the day, we had four sacks out of our two outside guys between Shane (Ray) and Von (Miller)," said coach Gary Kubiak. The Broncos D/ST will be a top-tier fantasy option at Tampa Bay in Week 4.

Sep 28 - 3:38 PM

The Denver Broncos allowed just three points and 123 total yards of offense to Carolina after halftime on Thursday night.

Linebacker Von Miller talked about the Broncos' strong second half after the game. "They did a good job of chipping and double-teaming me," Miller said. "But we knew they couldn’t play a whole game like that and it eventually opened up for us and we were able to get back there." The Broncos sacked Cam Newton three times on the night and delivered multiple big hits on the quarterback in a physical outing. The Broncos D/ST will remain a top fantasy option in Week 2 when Indianapolis visits Mile High.

Sep 9 - 5:13 AM

The Denver Broncos lead the NFL in sacks, taking down opposing quarterbacks 49 times through 15 games.

Denver is set to host San Diego in Week 17 and will look to repeat the dominant performance turned in by the Broncos D/ST when the two teams met in Week 13. In that meeting, San Diego managed just three points while turning the ball over three times and taking four sacks from the Denver defense. The Broncos D/ST will be a top-five Week 17 fantasy option for the rematch.

The Denver defense has held its opposition under 30 rushing yards in consecutive weeks, and has allowed just 53.6 rushing yards over the last five weeks.

DeAngelo Williams became the latest running back to be shut down by Denver after he ran for 26 yards on 14 carries in Week 15. This week, Denver will host Cincinnati, who will be led by QB A.J. McCarron. Denver will likely keep a lid on the Bengals' running game, forcing McCarron to lead the Cincinnati offense. The Broncos D/ST is a top-five fantasy option in Week 16 against the inexperienced quarterback.

Denver safeties T.J. Ward (ankle) and Omar Bolden (hamstring) have both been ruled out for Week 15.

Both players missed practice on Friday and coach Gary Kubiak ruled them out for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. Ward also missed Weeks 13 and 14, and Denver was still able to put together solid outings in pass defense. Week 15 may be different however, as the Denver defense faces the Pittsburgh passing game that averages 284.8 yards each week. The Broncos D/ST is a back-end top-10 fantasy option this week in a tough matchup.

The Denver defense has forced six turnovers and allowed just 72.7 rushing yards per game over the last three weeks.

The Broncos D/ST started the season playing incredibly well but hit a lull in weeks 8-10 when they didn't force a single turnover. This group has started to rebound however, and allowed just three points and 272 total yards at San Diego in Week 13. The fantasy playoff schedule isn't the best for this group (vs OAK, @ PIT, vs CIN), but they are a useful fantasy option this week against the Raiders, who have turned the ball over five times in the last two weeks.

The Denver Broncos will host the New England Patriots on Sunday night, with snow in the forecast at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The Broncos will look to hand the Patriots their first loss of 2015, and will attempt to do so in frigid conditions with 15 degree temperatures and a 60 percent chance of snow in the forecast. The New England offense has slowed in recent weeks after losing Dion Lewis and Julian Edelman, and the conditions on Sunday night may push New England into a more run-based attack featuring hammer LeGarrette Blount. The quality Broncos D/ST is still a back-end top-10 fantasy option this week despite the matchup with Tom Brady and the Patriots.

The Denver defense will be without OLB DeMarcus Ware (back) again this week when the team travels to Chicago to face the Bears.

Ware has not played since injuring his back in Week 9 and has been ruled out for Week 11. "We had hoped maybe at the end of this week that we'd start to do some field work and stuff. I don't know. It's a day at a time," coach Gary Kubiak said. The Denver defense has slumped a bit over the last two weeks but is still a top Week 11 fantasy option against Jay Cutler and the Bears, as the group leads the NFL in sacks and total yards allowed per game.

The Denver defense will be without CB Aqib Talib (suspension) in Week 10 when they face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Denver defense is good enough to thrive against an offense like Kansas City's even without Talib, but it certainly doesn't help their cause this week. Despite a rough Week 9 performance and losing a cornerback, the Broncos D/ST will be a top Week 10 fantasy option when they square off with Alex Smith and the Chiefs on Sunday.
Fri, Nov 13, 2015 02:41:00 AM

The Denver Broncos travel to Indianapolis in Week 9 to face the Colts, who have 19 turnovers in eight games.

The 19 turnovers are the second-most among NFL teams and QB Andrew Luck has thrown two or more interceptions in five of his six starts this season. The Colts will also have a new OC this week in Rod Chudzinski, who took over for Pep Hamilton. A turnover-prone offense in flux will be a fine target for the Broncos D/ST this week and makes this unit the unrivaled Week 9 top-play in fantasy leagues.

The Denver defense has focused on defending the "freelancing" capabilities of Aaron Rodgers in practice this week.

"Defensive backs said they worked the scramble drill for good portions of practice with backup quarterbacks Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemian simulating the freelancing role of Rodgers," said the Denver Post. Rodgers provides a stiff test for the Denver D/ST, but this group has been a fantasy standout in 2015 and should be started with confidence against the Packers on Sunday.
