The Denver defense will be without OLB DeMarcus Ware (back) again this week when the team travels to Chicago to face the Bears.
Ware has not played since injuring his back in Week 9 and has been ruled out for Week 11. "We had hoped maybe at the end of this week that we'd start to do some field work and stuff. I don't know. It's a day at a time," coach Gary Kubiak said. The Denver defense has slumped a bit over the last two weeks but is still a top Week 11 fantasy option against Jay Cutler and the Bears, as the group leads the NFL in sacks and total yards allowed per game. The Denver defense will be without CB Aqib Talib (suspension) in Week 10 when they face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Denver defense is good enough to thrive against an offense like Kansas City's even without Talib, but it certainly doesn't help their cause this week. Despite a rough Week 9 performance and losing a cornerback, the Broncos D/ST will be a top Week 10 fantasy option when they square off with Alex Smith and the Chiefs on Sunday.
Nov 13 - 2:41 AM

The Denver Broncos travel to Indianapolis in Week 9 to face the Colts, who have 19 turnovers in eight games.

The 19 turnovers are the second-most among NFL teams and QB Andrew Luck has thrown two or more interceptions in five of his six starts this season. The Colts will also have a new OC this week in Rod Chudzinski, who took over for Pep Hamilton. A turnover-prone offense in flux will be a fine target for the Broncos D/ST this week and makes this unit the unrivaled Week 9 top-play in fantasy leagues.
Nov 5 - 6:40 AM

The Denver defense has focused on defending the "freelancing" capabilities of Aaron Rodgers in practice this week.

"Defensive backs said they worked the scramble drill for good portions of practice with backup quarterbacks Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemian simulating the freelancing role of Rodgers," said the Denver Post. Rodgers provides a stiff test for the Denver D/ST, but this group has been a fantasy standout in 2015 and should be started with confidence against the Packers on Sunday.

Oct 31 - 3:29 AM

The Denver defense leads the NFL in sacks and turnovers forced as they head into their Week 7 bye.

The Broncos D/ST has been a fantasy force this season and will be well rested before hosting the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. Fantasy owners would be wise to eat a roster spot and carry this group through the bye week.
Oct 23 - 4:06 AM

The Denver Broncos will look to slow down the surprisingly hot Cleveland offense in Week 6.

The Browns are eighth among NFL teams in total yards per game this season, and have averaged 431 yards over their last three games. The offensive output from Josh McCown and company has been impressive but has come against relatively soft defenses. Week 6 will present a far greater challenge in the Denver Broncos, who lead the NFL in yards allowed, sacks, and turnovers forced. The Broncos D/ST is a must-start Week 6 fantasy option.
Oct 17 - 1:21 AM

The Denver Broncos D/ST will look to stay hot this week as they travel to Oakland to face the upstart Raiders offense.

Oakland's offense has risen from dead-last in the NFL in total yardage in 2014 to the middle of the pack in 2015, but won't pose much of a threat to Denver's top ranked defense this week. The Denver D/ST is not only first in total yards and passing yards allowed, but is also first in sacks and second in forced turnovers in what has been a dominant start to the season. Fantasy owners will receive another fine performance from the Broncos D/ST on Sunday.
Oct 10 - 4:07 PM

The Denver defense has been a dominant force in 2015, nearing the top of the NFL in most defensive statistical categories.

While leading the NFL in yards allowed through three weeks, fantasy owners of the Denver D/ST unit are particularly interested in the 11 sacks (t-3rd) and 10 forced turnovers (2nd) from this group. Fantasy's top scoring D/ST will again be a strong play in Week 4 as they host the Minnesota Vikings in Denver.
Oct 2 - 1:39 AM

The Denver Broncos D/ST is the top scoring fantasy defense through two weeks of play.

The Denver defense is off to a fantastic start to the 2015 season, forcing seven turnovers and recording six sacks in just two games. The Broncos are also allowing just 243.5 yards of total offense per game after facing Baltimore and Kansas City to start the season. In Week 3, Denver travels to Detroit to face the Lions and dinged up quarterback Matthew Stafford. The Broncos D/ST will be a top-three play option this week in fantasy leagues as they look to continue their torrid start.
Sep 26 - 2:42 AM

The Denver Broncos D/ST allowed the fewest total yards among NFL defenses in Week 1, giving up just 173 yards to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Denver defense stepped up when needed on Sunday with Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense managing to muster up just four Brandon McManus field goals. Cornerback Aqib Talib came up with a clutch 51-yard interception return for a score late in the third quarter that put Denver ahead for good as they squeaked out a 19-13 victory. The Broncos D/ST will now be on short rest as they travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on Thursday night, but the Denver defense is a start-worthy group in fantasy leagues as they look for a repeat defensive performance.
Sep 16 - 10:51 PM

The Denver Broncos led all NFL teams with 20 sacks in the 2015 preseason.

A seven sack performance against Seattle in Week 1 set the tone for the Denver defense, as they would continue to bother opposing quarterbacks throughout the entire preseason. The Denver defense was ninth in the NFL with 41 sacks in 2014, and appears ready to build on that success this season. The Denver D/ST is a solid season-long option and a back-end starting D/ST in fantasy leagues in Week 1 when they host Baltimore.
Sep 10 - 3:54 AM

The Denver Broncos secondary will be missing it's starting strong safety in Week 1 after T.J. Ward received a one-game suspension.

The suspension, for violating the league's personal-conduct policy, was handed down on Thursday and will leave the Denver secondary shorthanded as they host the Baltimore Ravens to start the 2015 season. David Bruton or Omar Bolden will likely fill-in at SS for the Denver D/ST group that will be near the low-end of startable Week 1 fantasy options.
Sep 3 - 9:59 PM

The Denver Post tabbed new safety Darian Stewart as a "great fit for Wade Phillips’ defense."

The Post also noted that Stewart is the only prominent "new" starter on the Denver defense. Stewart is a new arrival from Baltimore and will attempt to fortify the Denver defense that is being selected 11th among fantasy D/ST units in fantasy drafts. The Broncos defense will be a middling option in Week 1 for fantasy owners as they host Joe Flacco and the Ravens at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.
