Ravens signed G/C Tony Wragge, formerly of the Rams.
Undrafted DE Elliott Henigan was waived in a corresponding move. Wragge appeared in 15 games last season, making eight starts. He yet again showed that he wasn't a starting caliber lineman, grading out as one of the league's worst centers by Pro Football Focus. Capable of playing guard, Wragge's versatility will help his cause, but he's far from guaranteed a roster spot. Tue, Jun 12, 2012 12:03:00 PM

Rams agreed to terms with G/C Tony Wragge.

The 32-year-old is an interior swing lineman. Wragge has played 67 games with 15 starts since entering the league undrafted in 2002. He'll replace Hank Fraley as the Rams' primary backup at center and guard.

49ers agreed to terms with G/C Tony Wragge on a one-year contract.

The 32-year-old Wragge isn't a starting-caliber lineman -- he never really was -- but he does have versatility to play both guard in center. The Niners became desperate to bring Wragge back after the Giants stole away David Baas.

Beat writer Matt Barrows suggests the Niners could bring back free agent C Tony Wragge now that David Baas is gone.

The Niners are going to be grasping at straws as Eric Heitmann's (neck) is out for the year. Adam Snyder has been working at center this offseason and their only other options are rookies. It's a concern area.

Tony Wragge will be David Baas' primary competition for the 49ers' starting center job while Eric Heitmann (fractured fibula) is out.

Cody Wallace isn't getting a sniff. Baas figures to have the edge, as he started 16 games last season (at left guard) and took the first-team reps in Monday's practice. Wragge seemingly fell out of favor last year after starting in 2008.

49ers signed OL Tony Wragge to a one-year extension through 2010.

Wragge lost his starting job to Chilo Rachal after ten games last year, but the 49ers are still high on him as a backup at all three interior positions.

49ers signed OL Tony Wragge to a one-year extension through 2009. The deal included a $175,000 signing bonus.

The deal happened at the start of camp. At worst, Wragge gives the team serviceable depth behind C Eric Heitmann, LG Adam Snyder, and RG David Baas. Wragge is also a candidate to replace Baas in the starting lineup.
Wed, Aug 13, 2008 07:58:00 PM

49ers re-signed G/C Tony Wragge to a two-year, $1.34 million contract.

Wragge, not David Baas, got the nod to start at center last year when Eric Heitmann went down due to injury. He's a key reserve in San Francisco.
