Broncos released FS Renaldo Hill.
Hill missed Thursday's practice with dehydration and was seen walking to the weight room instead of practicing Friday. In the meantime, second-rounder Rahim Moore has joined the starting lineup. Hill held his own at age 31 last season, but the Broncos weren't going to pay his $2.4 million salary. Sat, Jul 30, 2011 06:45:00 PM

Broncos FS Renaldo Hill was not present as the team began training camp practices on Thursday.

The beat writers believe Hill has been released. It's also possible that the Broncos gave him permission to seek a trade, although that would result in Hill's eventual release as well. The 32-year-old is due a $2.4 million base salary this season. The Broncos plucked two promising safeties in the draft.

The Denver Post's Mike Klis can envision "no way" the Broncos enter the season with Renaldo Hill and Brian Dawkins as their starting safeties again.

Dawkins is the obvious release candidate because of his age, monster salary, and collapsing performance, but Hill isn't a lock to return either. Entering his age-33 season, Hill is due a $2.4 million salary. We'd give the slight edge to Hill to return because he's cheaper, younger, and playing better.

Broncos SS Renaldo Hill was on crutches after Sunday's game.

Hill injured his right ankle and was unable to return. The Broncos host JaMarcus Russell and the Raiders this week, so they can afford to be overly cautious with Hill's recovery time.

Broncos S Renaldo Hill left Sunday's game in Indianapolis with an ankle injury and is questionable to return.

Hill was hurt near the end of the first half and was replaced by Darcel McBath.

Broncos S Renaldo Hill left Sunday's game with a right leg injury.

Hill was able to limp off under his own power, but he may be done for the day. Darcel McBath has come on to replace him.

Broncos signed S Renaldo Hill to a four-year, $10 million contract with $3 million guaranteed.

It's identical to Jabar Gaffney's deal. If the Brian Dawkins report is true, the Broncos now have two veteran starters at safety as they rebuild their defense on the fly. Hill will play center field while Dawkins plays up against the run.

Free agent S Renaldo Hill will visit the Broncos on Friday.

Denver went through its fair share of middling safeties under Mike Shanahan and Hill would be another. He became expendable in Miami when the Fins added Gibril Wilson. Hill started 16 games last year and made 77 stops.

The Dolphins have promoted FS Renaldo Hill to the starting lineup.

He passed Chris Crocker, who started the first two games and totaled only four solo stops, and Jason Allen, who is no longer even in the conversation. Hill will mostly sit back in center field, making him a mediocre IDP bet.

Dolphins DBs Renaldo Hill (ACL surgery) and Michael Lehan (ankle) have been practicing at training camp.

Hill is running with the third-team defense and seems unlikely to be on the final roster. Andre Goodman and Will Allen appear locked in as Miami's starting corners, leaving Lehan to battle Travis Daniels for nickel work.

Dolphins S Renaldo Hill (ACL surgery) is confident he'll be ready for training camp.

Hill needs to get healthy to win a roster spot. He's competing against Keith Davis, Courtney Bryan, and Chris Crocker behind projected starters Jason Allen and Yeremiah Bell. The best special teamers figure to make the cut.

Dolphins safeties Renaldo Hill and Cameron Worrell (torn ACLs) are not expected to be ready for Week 1.

Making their secondary an even bigger need. It's a little surprising that Hill wasn't part of the Dolphins' winter roster purge with the $2 million he's due.

Renaldo Hill sustained a season-ending torn ACL on Sunday.

Losing Hill is a serious hit to a secondary that has been plagued by injuries all season long. The Dolphins might have to sign a safety off the street to help out.

Dolphins S Renaldo Hill was helped to the sideline after injuring his leg on a jump ball in the end zone.

Randy Moss caught the touchdown pass, and as Hill came down he appeared to hyperextend his knee. He was supported by two trainers as he made his way to the sideline. We'll update as we know more, but a serious injury would leave the Dolphins extremely thin at safety.
Sun, Oct 21, 2007 02:14:00 PM

The Dolphins have moved Renaldo Hill from free to strong safety.

A shakeup in the secondary also has Michael Lehan taking over as Miami's right corner in place of Travis Daniels. Daniels is now at free safety, replacing Hill. Andre' Goodman (shoulder) will man the nickel until he's 100 percent. All the instability probably means Miami will continue to struggle in pass defense.
