Impending free agent DE Juqua Parker is unlikely to return to the Browns.
Parker, 35 in May, signed a one-year deal with the Browns last offseason, and he put together a nice year with six sacks. Unfortunately for him, the Browns are moving to the 3-4 defense, and he doesn't have a spot. The long-time Eagle will likely have to settle for another one-year pact this offseason. Browns agreed to terms with DE Juqua Parker on a one-year deal.

The deal is for a maximum of $3 million if Parker hits all of his bonuses. Desperately seeking a right end opposite Jabaal Sheard since early last season, the Browns have opted for a tag-team approach. Run-stuffer Frostee Rucker will play early downs with Parker mixing in as a pass-rushing specialist. At 34, Parker can reasonably be expected to give the Browns 25 plays a game.

The Eagles are not expected to re-sign DE Juqua Parker.

Parker may be a name monitored by the Saints because New Orleans' defense needs more pass rush, and new DC Steve Spagnuolo was on the Eagles' staff for two years with Parker. He will likely be available for a cheap one-year deal. The situational pass rusher turns 34 in May and managed 1.5 sacks in 2011.

Eagles DE Juqua Parker (ankle) is not participating in practice Saturday.

Parker hasn't been active since sustaining a high-ankle sprain in Week 2, which can take as long as two months to return from. Darryl Tapp and Phillip Hunt will continue to rotate in his place.

Eagles DE Juqua Parker (high-ankle sprain) has been declared out for Week 4.

This will be Parker's second straight absence. Fellow DE Darryl Tapp (torn pectoral muscle) will be a game-time decision after missing the past two weeks. Phillip Hunt saw the biggest increase in snaps in the absence of Parker and Tapp last week.

Eagles DE Juqua Parker has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.

High-ankle sprains can take as long as two months to return from. Parker assisted on one tackle before exiting Sunday's loss to Atlanta. The Eagles will need Darryl Tapp and Phillip Hunt to step up in their eight-man wave rotation.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker agreed to a pay cut to stay on the 53-man roster.

The amount is unknown, but Parker wouldn't have lasted at his scheduled $3.5 million salary. Entering his age-33 season, Parker is listed as the Eagles' No. 2 left end behind Jason Babin. Best suited for a situational role, Parker has stayed effective as a pass rusher with 14 sacks over the past two seasons.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker (hip) is expected to return to the lineup in Week 14.

The veteran has missed the last two games with a hip flexor, but should be good to go for the Cowboys. He wasn't really missed, as rookie Brandon Graham filled in admirably. The two might be in a rotation down the stretch.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker (hip) has been ruled out for Week 13.

Brandon Graham will get another start. He had a career-high three tackles and a sack while filling in for Parker this past week. Parker stands a good chance of being ready by Week 14.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears.

Parker's absence means a big opportunity for rookie Brandon Graham, who will draw the start opposite Trent Cole. Asante Samuel (knee) is also out, as expected. Other Eagles inactives: Third QB Mike Kafka, WR Chad Hall, TE Garrett Mills, T Austin Howard, G Reggie Wells and CB Brandon Hughes.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker (hip, questionable) and DT Antonio Dixon (abdomen, questionable) both traveled with the team to Chicago.

It's great news for both players, though each will likely be game-time decisions. Brandon Graham figures to fill in for Parker and Brodrick Bunkley for Dixon should either sit out.

Eagles coach Andy Reid wouldn't comment on LE Juqua Parker's (hip flexor) status for Week 12, but Brandon Graham said he's planning to start for Parker.

Parker originally suffered the injury in Week 10, and his snaps were limited against the Giants in Week 11. At the very least, it sound like we can expect Graham to play more snaps. The rookie has two sacks and two forced fumbles this season.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker had to leave Sunday's game after aggravating a hip flexor injury.

It's not clear at this point how long, if at all, the injury will sideline the veteran. Parker got off to a hot start this season with four sacks in his first three games, but he's had just one since.

Eagles LE Juqua Parker is not likely to play on running downs this season.

Parker is currently listed as the starter at left end, but that's just because he's the veteran incumbent. Parker was forced into an early-down role last season and was exposed, so the Eagles traded for Darryl Tapp. With Parker also battling first-round pick Brandon Graham for snaps, he's unlikely to match the eight sacks he recorded in 2009.

Marijuana possession charges against Eagles DE Juqua Parker have been dropped by Northampton County (PA) prosecutors.

The D.A. acknowledged problems with the police search, during which Parker was allegedly found to be in possession of "a small amount of marijuana." It's unclear if Parker will enger the league's drug program, but he won't be suspended. He finished last year with 34 tackles and eight sacks.
