Dolphins signed DE Marques Douglas to a two-year, $2.5 million contract.

Douglas will replace Phillip Merling behind projected starters Kendall Langford and Jared Odrick. Still a more than capable run defender, the 33-year-old will work in as a "wave" player. He shouldn't be asked to rush the passer.

The Jets won't be re-signing free agent DE Marques Douglas in the near future, a source tells ESPN.com.

There were rumors that the Jets would bring in Douglas once the "Final Eight" restriction is lifted, but it sounds like the Jets are going to stand pat for now. That could change if there is an injury in camp.

The Jets could reportedly re-sign free agent DE Marques Douglas by the end of the week.

The 33-year-old drew only cursory interest on the open market, so Rex Ryan will bring him back into the fold as a backup pass rusher. He managed just 1.5 sacks last season.

The Panthers have shown interest in free agent DE Marques Douglas.

Carolina is on the hunt for defensive ends that will help them cope with the loss of Julius Peppers, but Douglas would barely be a blip on that radar. He's 33 and a backup at this point.

Free agent DE Marques Douglas is drawing interest from the Patriots, Dolphins, Panthers, Titans and Bucs, according to the New York Daily News.

Douglas is 33 and a backup pass rusher at best. His best chance for playing time is likely staying with Rex Ryan and the Jets.

The Titans have expressed "mild" interest in free agent DE Marques Douglas.

Douglas, 32, recorded just 1.5 sacks in 16 games for the Jets in 2009. No visit has been arranged, but the Titans need help at the position after losing Kyle Vanden Bosch to the Lions on Friday.

The Jets are expected to attempt to re-sign free agent DL Marques Douglas.

Douglas, a rotational lineman, "showed a knack for making plays" in 2009. A favorite of coach Rex Ryan after following him out of Baltimore, the 33-year-old is likely to stay with the Jets.

The Jets are believed to be free agent DL Marques Douglas' strongest suitor.

In addition to the Broncos, the Jets and 49ers have reportedly shown interest in free agent DL Marques Douglas.

Baltimore might also make a bid despite cutting him last week. Douglas is 32 and probably only has a season or two left, but he's a trusty backup.

The Broncos are expected to pursue DE Marques Douglas, recently released by the Ravens.

Douglas played for new defensive coordinator Mike Nolan in both Baltimore and San Francisco, and the Broncos have a need for bigger defensive ends in Nolan's new 4-3 defense.

Ravens released DE Marques Douglas.

The soon-to-be 32-year old became expendable when Baltimore retained Dwan Edwards. Douglas played in all 16 games last year and could latch on elsewhere as a rotational piece. He offers good character and can still produce.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Bucs have traded DL Marques Douglas to the Ravens.

The Bucs will receive a 2009 late-round draft pick plus a conditional 2010 draft pick, which is contingent upon Douglas passing his physical Wednesday. Douglas likely takes the place of former second-rounder Dwan Edwards, who had earned a significant role before being placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
