Terrell Suggs (biceps) returned to practice on Tuesday.
The Ravens are on bye this week but Suggs' return to practice suggests he'll be ready for Week 9 against Pittsburgh. A torn biceps sidelined him last week against the Jets. Za'Darius Smith filled in for Suggs at right outside linebacker. Oct 25 - 11:26 AM

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Terrell Suggs (biceps) is unlikely to play against the Jets in Week 7.

He suffered a torn bicep late in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Suggs has played through bicep tears before but it looks like the Ravens aren't going to take any chances, especially with the bye coming up in Week 8. Za'Darius Smith will be a candidate to fill in at outside linebacker.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Terrell Suggs suffered a torn biceps tendon Week 6 against the Giants.

Suggs suffered the injury in the fourth quarter. He said after the game that he's "fine," but if the report is true, Suggs' status would be in doubt. Most of the time, a torn biceps is a season-ender, but Suggs suffered the injury in 2012 and played through it. The Ravens have been hit hard by injuries.

Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') was removed from the active/PUP list Monday.

He is expected to participate in practice, but it is likely he will be limited in his first work since tearing his Achilles' Week 1 of last season. Suggs is just one year removed from a 12-sack season. A return to that kind of form would be a big boost for the Ravens' defense.
Aug 15 - 9:11 AM

Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs (PUP, Achilles') is expected to resume practicing soon.

"I'm holding him back right now," coach John Harbaugh said. "He'll be out there soon practicing. How much we play him (in the preseason) remains to be seen." Suggs is unlikely to get any exhibition reps, but barring a setback, he sounds fully on track for Week 1.
Aug 9 - 1:21 PM

Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs (PUP, Achilles') said he is "close" to where he wants to be in his recovery.

"I can't be timid, but I've got to be smart," Suggs said. "It won't be long before I'll be off of it and out there practicing with the guys." With Elvis Dumervil (foot) also on the PUP to open camp, the Ravens should take it slow with their aging rushers. Suggs will be 34 in October, but he is just a year removed from a 12-sack season.

Jul 28 - 9:11 AM

Ravens placed OLB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') on the active/PUP list.

It's an expected move. Suggs will likely sit out the entire preseason and is questionable for Week 1. Elvis Dumervil (foot) also opened training camp on PUP.
Jul 23 - 3:54 PM

Ravens coach John Harbaugh believes OLB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') has a "real chance" to be ready for a regular season, but that it's not a guarantee.

Harbaugh said Suggs was "looking good" in his recovery, but didn't get any more expansive. Sidelined since early last September, Suggs will probably sit out the entire preseason before returning on a snap count in the opener.

Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor traffic charges stemming from a one-car accident on March 5 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Suggs was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to notify authorities after striking a fixture. Suggs said after the incident he "may have fallen asleep" before allegedly crashing into a wall. Both charges are minor. Suggs is currently recovering from a September Achilles' tear. He is expected to be ready for Week 1.

Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs has been charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to notify authorities after striking a fixture in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Arizona doesn't play around. The two charges are misdemeanors and stem from a single-car accident two weeks ago when Suggs said he "may have fallen asleep" and crashed into a wall. He recovered and drove himself to a restaurant where police later detained and booked him at jail. Suggs was quickly released from custody but now could face an NFL suspension.

Terrell Suggs was arrested for driving with a suspended license early Friday morning in Scottsdale, Ariz.

It's as minor an offense as they come. Suggs reportedly got into a one-car accident before then going to a nearby Mexican restaurant. Someone saw the accident and informed police. They arrived to the restaurant, booked Suggs, and he was quickly released with a ticket. He shouldn't face any discipline.

Terrell Suggs (Achilles') will return for a 14th NFL season in 2016.

Word comes straight from Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome. Going on 34, Suggs will be questionable for training camp after going down in Week 1, but the Ravens have precious little pass rush. They'll address it in the draft and free agency, but they need Suggs, even if he's aging and coming off major injury. Suggs is due $4.5 million, while cutting him would entail an $8.85 million cap hit.
Jan 7 - 2:30 PM

The Ravens expect OLB Terrell Suggs (Achilles', I.R.) to return for the 2016 season.

Coach John Harbaugh has had very little contact with Suggs since he went down in Week 1, saying he's only texted with the veteran two or three times as he's been away from the team rehabbing his torn Achilles'. Suggs will be 34 next season and is obviously on the tail end of his career. Suggs carries a $7.4 million cap hit for 2016, and it would cost Baltimore $8.85 million to cut him. Expect GM Ozzie Newsome to address the rush linebacker spot in the offseason.

Ravens placed OLB Terrell Suggs on injured reserve with a torn Achilles', ending his season.

It's a procedural move. Suggs is done for the year and his roster spot went to fellow veteran OLB Jason Babin. The Ravens will mix and match Babin, Courtney Upshaw, and Za'Darius Smith opposite Elvis Dumervil.

Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs has been diagnosed with a torn left Achilles', and is done for the season.

Suggs walked off the field under his own power in the fourth quarter Sunday, but was carted to the locker room after a sideline examination. It didn't take the Ravens long to determine that he's played his last snap of the year. It's a hammer blow for a team that needs to rely on its defense more than ever this season. Although he's one month shy of his 33rd birthday, Suggs remained one of the league's very best pass rushers in 2014. Suggs previously tore his right Achilles' in 2012, but didn't miss a game in 2013-14.
