Lions signed free agent WR Travis Taylor.

Taylor hasn't played in the NFL since this time last season when the Panthers made a similarly desperate transaction. Needless to say, the 2000 first-rounder has no fantasy value.

Panthers declared WR Travis Taylor, WR Jason Carter, QB Vinny Testaverde, CB Patrick Dendy, SS Chris Harris, LB James Anderson, DT Gary Gibson, and OT Frank Omiyale inactive for Week 17.

Taylor will be a free agent this offseason. Marquand Manuel will start for Harris at strong safety. David Carr gets a chance to back up Matt Moore.

Panthers signed WR Travis Taylor, formerly of the Rams.

This is Taylor's third different club in 2007 after he was almost completely overlooked in free agency last spring. The former No. 10 overall pick is only 29, but clearly doesn't have much to offer teams around the league.

Raiders released WR Travis Taylor.

Oakland only had raw rookie Johnnie Lee Higgins and underachiever Mike Williams in front of him, so this is a bad sign for Taylor's career. The former Ravens first-round pick may get another shot before the season is through, but is unlikely to make a fantasy impact again.

Raiders declared WR Travis Taylor, CBs Duane Starks and John Bowie, C Chris Morris, T Mario Henderson, RB Adimchinobe Echemandu, QB Andrew Walter and LB Isaiah Ekejubia inactive for Sunday's opening-day tilt.

Mike Williams appears to be Oakland's third receiver with Taylor down. Josh McCown will start at quarterback. Justin Fargas will back up LaMont Jordan.

Ronald Curry has been at flanker of late with Jerry Porter at split end. It appears that will form Oakland's top three receivers to begin the season.

Travis Taylor is reportedly a candidate to start for the Raiders.

Taylor, who plays the same position as Jerry Porter and Mike Williams, also easily could be released, so nothing is guaranteed. Oakland will probably just let everyone compete in camp and choose the best two to start Week 1.

Raiders signed WR Travis Taylor, formerly of the Vikings, to a one-year, $750,000 contract. The deal only counts $350,000 against the salary cap.

Keyshawn Johnson-like skills for cheap. Taylor has never lived up to his first-round billing, but he's a serviceable veteran worth bringing to camp. If Oakland's younger wideouts like Mike Williams don't pan out, Taylor could sneak into the third receiver role.

Free agent Travis Taylor pled guilty Wednesday to one charge of disorderly conduct stemming from a January 1 incident.

Charges of destruction and misdemeanor assault were thrown out. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail but can avoid that if he's not arrested in the next year, pays a $1,000 fine, and performs community service.

Taylor hasn't visited with any teams so far in the offseason.

Free agent WR Travis Taylor's court date for misdemeanor charges of assault, destruction, and disorderly conduct was continued to March 22.

Taylor was arrested in early January for committing the crimes outside a nightclub. The Vikings' leading receiver in 2006 is not expected back.

Vikings WR Travis Taylor was arrested Monday on three misdeamor charges: disorderly conduct, fifth-degree assault and interference with pedestrian or vehicular traffic.

May as well call him former Viking WR Travis Taylor. He's a free agent this off-season and this will guarantee that he won't be back in Minnesota.
