Former Bills and Titans receiver Eric Moulds reportedly punched a 30-year-old man in the face in Buffalo early last Friday morning.
The injured man had to be hospitalized for facial injuries. Moulds, 35, had a tryout for the Bucs last offseason but hasn't been heard from since. His 12-year career is almost certainly over. In addition to Eddie Kennison, the Bucs tried out free agent receivers Eric Moulds and Bryan Gilmore on Thursday.

This is the first sniff Moulds has gotten this offseason. Gilmore is a special teamer. The Bucs can't be sold on their current receiving corps, which other than Antonio Bryant's signing, hasn't improved since the summer of 2007.

"There is nothing going on with Eric right now," his agent said. "I’m not sure what he’s going to do." Moulds, 34, may be contemplating retirement.

All four of Moulds' catches came in the first half, and he was targeted just once in the second half. Mould sees a fair amount of targets in Tennessee's receiver rotation, but that doesn't make him a fantasy option.

Justin Gage and Roydell Williams appear entrenched as starters for Tennessee, but Moulds is still playing a big role in the team's receiver rotation. That doesn't make him close to a fantasy option, however.

Roydell Williams seemed likely to benefit most from Brandon Jones' absence, but Moulds also saw his role increase. He was targeted on nine of the Titans' 34 throws.

Eric Moulds lined up opposite Brandon Jones as a starter in Tennessee's first preseason game.

If he's there to stay, Tennessee's other young wide receivers (Courtney Roby and Roydell Williams), won't develop much this season. Moulds dropped a pass in the game. Jones is looking like the only Titans wideout we'd touch in fantasy leagues. Chris Brown started over LenDale White at running back.

Moulds says he "just wanted a straight base salary," but he’d be easy to cut before the season. That said, he's reportedly performed well early in camp.

Titans agreed to terms with Eric Moulds on a one-year contract.

This is Tennessee admitting that they are worried about Courtney Roby, Roydell Williams, Justin Gage, and company stepping up behind Brandon Jones. At 34, Moulds is no longer going to be a fantasy option, but he's going to have a role in the top three receivers if he makes the team.

The Titans are not interested in signing Eric Moulds.

The Titans receivers coach worked with Moulds in Buffalo, so it's a bad sign for Moulds' career that Tennessee won't give him a look. Justin McCareins seems like a more likely target.

The Titans are expected to consider trying out free agent Eric Moulds, 33, after missing out on Keyshawn Johnson, 34.

Tennessee has missed on countless wideouts in recent drafts and apparently feels the need for veteran depth. Moulds was cut by Houston after averaging 9.8 yards-per-catch last season. Another possibility would be trading for Justin McCareins.
