Bills re-signed P Brian Moorman.
Turning 38 in February, Moorman finished the 2013 campaign with a net punting average of 36.6 yards, among the poorest marks of his career. He finished 31st in the league in that statistic, and 32nd in gross average (41.2). Moorman's new contract likely contains very little or no guaranteed money. The Bills are expected to bring in competition for Moorman before training camp. Jan 10 - 1:38 PM

A 37-year-old veteran, Moorman will push Drew Butler in camp. Both players are coming off sub-par 2012 campaigns. The 23-year-old Butler will likely be the Steelers' choice if he shows well in the preseason.

The Cowboys have ruled out P Brian Moorman (groin) for Week 6.

Moorman was recently signed after the Bills unceremoniously released him. He had a strong first game for the Cowboys Week 4 loss to the Bears with two-of-three punts downed within the 20 yard line. Chris Jones (knee) is also listed as questionable, so the Dallas special teams could be in for a long day this weekend against the Ravens.

The Bills released Moorman yesterday due to a drop in production, as his net yardage this season has dipped nearly six yards from his 2011 average of 38.3. Regular Cowboys P Chris Jones is dealing with a knee injury.
