Jets signed WR Frisman Jackson to a future contract.

Jackson has good size and has been an intriguing prospect ever since he went for 128 yards and a score to kick off the 2005 season. His numbers after that have been minimal and he was out of football in 2006, but Eric Mangini is willing to give all players a shot and Jackson could fill a Justin McCareins-like role if he sticks out in camp.

Browns released WR Frisman Jackson.

Jackson became expendable with Travis Wilson and Josh Cribbs emerging in the pass game. He has size and decent speed, so Fris should draw some decent interest on the open market.

Despite claims to the contrary last month, Frisman Jackson doesn't appear to be a serious contender for the Cleveland starting wideout role.

He's listed as a third-stringer, behind Josh Cribbs, on the team's first released depth chart. Dennis Northcutt should open the season as a starter until Braylon Edwards is healthy.

Frisman Jackson could reportedly push Dennis Northcutt for a starting job until Braylon Edwards gets healthy.

Jackson has enjoyed a fine off-season. The move makes sense because Northcutt is best used out of the slot, but we still wouldn't invest a fantasy pick on Jackson, who could fall to fourth on the depth chart when Edwards heals.

Frisman Jackson is the early leader for the No. 3 receiver job until Braylon Edwards returns.

Dennis Northcutt and Joe Jurevicius will start, while Jackson only has to beat out rookie third-rounder Travis Wilson and a few lesser players for the slot role. He's still a ways from having fantasy value.

Frisman Jackson is inactive for the Browns.

Other notable inactives: William Green, Lee Suggs, WR Brandon Rideau, and T Nat Dorsey. Jason Wright will backup Reuben Droughns at running back.

QB Derek Anderson (third QB), WR Brandon Rideau, CB Antonio Perkins, RB Lee Suggs, OL Dave Yovanovits, TE Billy Miller, WR Frisman Jackson and LB David McMillan are inactive for week eight.

Frisman Jackson caught eight passes for 128 in the opener and has only caught three passes for 40 yards since.

After being moved up from the No. 4 receiver to the No. 3 receiver, Jackson was shut out against the Bears last week.

Jackson even had a couple important drops in the contest. He has just three receptions in his past three games.

Frisman Jackson caught one pass for 11 yards in week two.

That's more befitting for the fourth receiver in Cleveland. Despite the big week one, there's no reason to own Jackson in any league format. With Braylon Edwards improving, Jackson won't get may snaps.

Frisman Jackson caught eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in week one.

Bad news for Braylon Edwards owners. Jackson looks like the team's third wideout for now, but this looks like the classic week one fluke game that forces a lot of crazy waiver claims in fantasy football. Don't be that guy.

The Browns promoted Frisman Jackson from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.

Jackson has no fantasy value as of right now.

Browns released wide receivers Frisman Jackson and C.J. Jones, running back Nick Maddox, fullback Corey McIntyre, tight ends tight ends Chad Mustard and Darnell Sanders, defensive ends Mark Word, Felipe Claybrooks and Cedric Scott, defensive tackle John Nix, linebackers Sherrod Coates, Uyi Osunde and Mason Unck, cornerbacks Tim Wansley and Roosevelt Williams, safety Ricky Sharpe, offensive lineman Lewis Dawson, Chuck Klabo, and Craig Osika, and kicker Derek Schorejs.

The Browns decided to keep four running backs, fueling speculation that James Jackson could be traded. The Browns only have to two healthy tight ends, Kellen Winslow and Aaron Shea.

The Browns signed wide receiver Frisman Jackson and to a two-year contract extension and defensive tackle Michael Myers to a two-year contract.

Jackson missed most of last season with a broken foot. He has a good shot at emerging as the team's No. 3 receiver if Dennis Northcutt is trade.

The Browns believe wide receiver Frisman Jackson can take the place of Dennis Northcutt if Northcutt leaves town this offseason.

The Browns receivers aren't likely to be better fantasy options with Terry Robiskie's run-heavy offense taking over next season. Jackson missed most of last season with a broken foot.
