Former Patriots, Packers, and Cowboys WR Terry Glenn died in a car crash early Monday morning at the age of 43.
The No. 7 overall pick of the 1996 draft by the Patriots, Glenn played 12 seasons in the NFL including his final five with the Cowboys. The receiver had a tumultuous career off the field which played a role in him being suspended for New England's Super Bowl run in 2001, and he had more run-ins with the law following his retirement. He appeared to have gotten on the right track in recent years, however, and had just gotten engaged. It is a tragic situation, and our thoughts are with his family. Mon, Nov 20, 2017 11:50:00 AM

Former NFL receiver Terry Glenn was recently arrested for DWI and two counts of marijuana possession.

It's his third arrest in less than two years. Glenn, now 36, was charged with auto theft in January of 2010, and marijuana possession as well as public intoxication in February of 2009. He's been trying to catch on as a position coach, but no one is going to hire Glenn if he can't stay out of jail.

Former Cowboys, Patriots, and Packers WR Terry Glenn was arrested on a charge of auto theft at 7PM Tuesday.

He was released at 1AM. Details are vague, but Glenn's post-football life has been tumultuous. He was arrested in February 2009 for prancing around a hotel naked and drunk, and marijuana was found on him after a search. Most recently, Glenn worked as a Dolphins coaching intern in training camp.

Former Patriots, Cowboys, and Packers receiver Terry Glenn is working as a coaching intern for the Dolphins.

The 35-year-old's 12-year career appears over. Glenn, who was arrested in February 2009 for marijuana possession after running through a hotel naked, finishes with 8,823 yards and an impressive 14.9 YPC average. A true deep threat and the No. 7 overall pick in '96, Glenn made his lone Pro Bowl for the Patriots in 1999, amassing a career-best 1,147 yards on 69 catches.

Former Cowboys receiver Terry Glenn was reportedly arrested at a hotel last week on charges of marijuana possession and public intoxication.

Arrested in Irving (TX), Glenn also had four outstanding warrants in a nearby county. Police were summoned to the hotel after Glenn was allegedly "roaming the hallways naked." This likely ends Glenn's career. He tried to get back in the league last year, but both of his knees are in bad shape.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wouldn't rule out Terry Glenn as an option to patch over his injured receiving corps.

He didn't sound all that excited about it either: "I don't know one way or the other," Jones said. "I don't have a status on Terry's condition. I'm not saying anything other than I don't know whether Terry is ready to play."

The Dolphins have abandoned the idea of adding free agent Terry Glenn.

Both of Glenn's knees are shot and his career is quite possibly over. If any team was going to sign him, it would've been Bill Parcells' Dolphins.

The Dolphins have reportedly put the idea of signing free agent Terry Glenn on hold for now.

Miami is evaluating its young receiver corps and Glenn is still working to get in shape. Glenn, 34, will have to pass a physical to join any team. Scenes from Hard Knocks on Wednesday indicated that Jerry Jones didn't think Glenn could pass one.

The Dolphins haven't signed free agent WR Terry Glenn because they are concerned about his knee holding up.

It's a legit concern. The team could still sign Glenn to an incentive-based deal if he passes a physical, but they should know they're not getting the old Terry Glenn.

The Jaguars considered bringing in free agent Terry Glenn, but "nothing came of that," according to the Florida Times Union.

The Jags are thin on proven wideouts with Reggie Williams and Jerry Porter on the shelf, but Glenn and his chronic knee issues didn't intrigue them.

The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports that Terry Glenn is expected to sign with the Dolphins in the next two days.

The Dolphins aren't commenting on the report after meeting with Glenn Tuesday, so it's not certain yet. There is no telling how Glenn's knee will hold up, but he will probably work among top three receivers if he's healthy. That's rough news for Derek Hagan, but we doubt Glenn will stay healthy for long.

Cowboys will waive/injured Terry Glenn.

Owner Jerry Jones wouldn't rule out Glenn returning if he gets healthy and accepts a lesser salary than the $1.74 million he was due, but Dallas couldn't risk him getting hurt again and being on the hook. There's already speculation that Glenn will land with Miami. He'll have to pass a physical first.

Terry Glenn denies an ESPN report that he's reached an agreement with the Cowboys that would've solidified his roster spot for the time being.

Glenn is being kept on the 80-man club for now, but owner Jerry Jones will have to sign off on any deal. There's no resolution in sight on this one.

Terry Glenn revealed that he has reached agreement on a deal that may keep him in Dallas through training camp.

Glenn didn't give details, saying only that he'd take a pay cut. However, owner Jerry Jones hasn't approved it yet. "Jerry holds the key," Glenn said.

A decision on Terry Glenn's future in Dallas is expected to come today.

Glenn did not join the team for the start of training camp, but he's being counted on the roster. The Cowboys haven't ruled out looking for a veteran receiver, so Glenn is likely going to have to come off his stance if he wants to stay.
