Dolphins waived DE Igor Olshansky.

Olshansky was starting to rock the boat in Miami, so he gets the ax. He was inactive last week and reportedly unhappy with his playing time. In eight appearances this year, Olshansky has eight tackles and no sacks.

Dolphins signed DE Igor Olshansky to a one-year contract.

The Cowboys released Olshansky at final cuts rather than pay him $3.34 million as a backup. He'll likely make closer to the veteran minimum in Miami while providing depth with Tony McDaniel (hand) out. According to Pro Football Focus, Olshansky graded out as a fine run defender in Dallas last season.

Cowboys released DE Igor Olshansky.

Olshansky had fallen down the depth chart, and set to make $3.34 million this season, was simply too expensive to keep. Olshansky has started at least 12 games each of the past seven seasons, and it wouldn't be surprising if he's found a new home before the end of the weekend.

ESPN Dallas' Tim MacMahon believes DE Igor Olshansky could be cut.

Olshansky is due $3.34 million and has been demoted on the depth chart after a zero-sack season. Sean Lissemore and Jason Hatcher are cheaper options.

Cowboys DE Igor Olshansky will work behind Kenyon Coleman in practice this week.

It's unclear if this is a short-term move of a demotion for Olshansky, who is coming off a zero-sack season for the first time in his career. It's possible that the coaches just want to give Coleman work with the starters as a heavy rotation at end is expected.

Cowboys coaches credited Igor Olshansky with 76 tackles last season.

Olshansky was a major part of the improved run defense, dominating the trenches in his first year as a Cowboy. At a bargain price, he and Stephen Bowen more than made up for the loss of Chris Canty.

Cowboys signed DE Igor Olshansky to a four-year, $18 million contract

Dallas needed a replacement for Chris Canty, and Olshansky will do the job for less than half the price. He's familiar with coach Wade Phillips's defense from back when Phillips was the coordinator in San Diego.

The Packers reportedly plan to pursue free agent DE Igor Olshansky after losing out on Chris Canty.

Olshansky has never been as productive as Canty, but he should come at half the price. Green Bay needs competition for projected LE Johnny Jolly Jr.

The Chargers are not expected to retain free agent DE Igor Olshansky.

Olshansky's motor runs hot and cold, but another team surely will take a flier on the 6'6/309-pounder. He could land with a team looking for power up front.

The Chargers are not in talks with contract-year DE Igor Olshansky.

The 6'6/310-pound behemoth isn't expected back with the Bolts in 2009. Igor will be motivated to cash in next offseason. San Diego doesn't have an obvious successor in place, though, aside from utilityman Jacques Cesaire.

Chargers DE Igor Olshansky was ejected near the end of San Diego's 35-27 victory on Sunday night after punching center Tom Nalen in the helmet.

Olshansky was upset after Nalen threw an apparent cut block his way while Jake Plummer was spiking the ball. The ejection and corresponding penalty cost the Broncos 15 yards that could have led to a game-tying touchdown.

Chargers defensive end Igor Olshansky suffered a torn meniscus in Week 6 and underwent knee surgery Wednesday.

He's expected to miss three-to-four weeks. Jacques Cesaire will step into a starting role opposite Luis Castillo while Olshansky is out. Igor is known as a top run stopper but San Diego has solid depth.
